Mehh. I attended a forgettable corporate event here. The place just oozed "old rich white men" vibes as soon as you step off the elevator. Maybe it's the mid-1980's decor that has not been updated? Anyways, the only thing this place has going for them is the lovely city views from the 36th floor. The buffet had the tiniest burger sliders I've ever seen, but also some of the biggest shrimp cocktail and plenty of oysters. The passed hors d'oeuvres were tiny clam cakes, tiny lobster fritters and tiny mac & cheese balls. Overall they tasted fine/average, but I was really surprised at the small serving sizes. Had the pleasure of dining here when I was visiting Boston with my dad. With the restaurant being on the 36th floor, we had the most amazing view of the city. Since my dad and I are both club members we were seated in the members dining area which had a more quiet atmosphere with only a few tables set up. The staff was extremely friendly and quick to serve. I think this was definitely the best dining experience I had on my trip. Appetizer: - I tried an octopus appetizer and my dad got the clam chowder. I could tell he loved the clam chowder since it was devoured withing minutes and my octopus was grilled to perfection and wasn't too chewy in texture. We also ordered wine and I found it a bit funny this place had white claw on the menu so had to order one of those as well:) Entree: Crab stuffed Lobster- This was the wow factor of dinner! This was basically a crab cake on top of a lobster but was delicious and super flavorful. The presentation of the dish was already impressive and left my stomach very happy. Dessert: - I had the flour less chocolate cake which was satisfying but like any other flour less chocolate cake you can have. My dad tried the apple crisp which was delicious- crispy and very fresh. Overall, the staff was helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. My husband, eight month old son, and I visited the Boston College Club on a Thursday afternoon for a smart cocktail and quick bite to eat. We wanted to experience this as I am from the Boston area and travel back there several times a year. My husband and I belong to a country club in Arizona and they have affiliates nationwide. We wanted to take advantage of our ability to visit other clubs. We called ahead of time to make our reservation. We were warmly welcomed and loved our experience. It was very difficult to get in the main gate as it is a larger building with many other businesses. As much as I appreciated the security, there was a part of me that almost turned around and left because of how long it took and how much we were grilled upon entry. Once we got into the actual College Club it was much nicer. The view is absolutely beautiful. It's a 360 view of the gorgeous city. My favorite city. We were greeted by our server who is very kind. We ordered some cocktails. I got a boulevardier, and my husband ordered a bourbon on the rocks. We also got a charcuterie board to share as we did have dinner plans and wanted some thing light. We took in the atmosphere, the view, the environment, and I'm truly enjoyed our afternoon together as a family. We took some photos and we were out within an hour. We keep talking about how nice it would be to have dinner there. Our server told us that they have it decorated for Christmas so we come back in December we will be revisiting and having dinner there with our family. The menu had a lot of great offerings. The charcuterie board didn't impress us too much. We also were supposed to get 25% off discount as our membership and I don't believe we got that, we had a great time, and we will definitely be returning. read more

Given that the BC Club is a membership club, we had to wait till Restaurant Week in order to get a looksee at the place. To enter 100 Federal for our lunch, we had to show the security guards our IDs. Then up to the 36th floor we went, and were offered an unmanned coat closet for our convenience, and directed to the dining room at the end of the hall. Unfortunately our view was initially obscured by the fog, but that cleared up some before we left. Service was good despite the fact that they had forgotten to get me the hot water I had asked for early on. The bread basket was filled with an assortment of crackers and breads with some softened butter. I especially enjoyed the white flat water cracker, which had its own simple flavor. We had the soup selections for our appetizer. I had the NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER which was an extremely brothy version with rather large chunks of potatoes. It was tasty, but my personal preferences lean towards the creamier thicker version. For our entrees, we selected the FETTUCINE Tomato duck ragu and the ROASTED SALMON Mustard crusted, lentil stew, broccoli rabe. The fish was very well prepared - cooked through yet very tender, with a nice crisp on top. The fettucine were tender ribbons laced with shredded duck sauce. For dessert, we ordered the LEMON BUDINO and the CHEESECAKE. The cheesecake flavor of the day was a peanut butter and jelly. The roasted grapes garnishing the cheesecake faked my friend out as fig, but they were very juicy and interesting. The lemon budino was very light and refreshing - most definitely a repeat choice. The BC Club is open to non-members several days a year - according to their website, the next Open House Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Apr 6, 2011, 6:00pm - 7:30pm It isn't a cash establishment. So obviously you can only go here if you are with a member. We went during the lunchtime hours and it wasn't very crowded, which was nice. I had the swordfish and it was pretty decent but nothing special. Overall, the highlight of this place is the great view of Boston. The atmosphere is kinda old, a bit snobby, and very Caucasian so I felt a bit out of place, but the staff were friendly and quick. I would say that if you want a better dining experience, some place like the Top of the Hub is better. read more

My husband ordered lamb chops medium rare and they were well done My son's fish was also over cooked. Oddly enough, my daughters chicken tenders were fried too long and inedible. We joked the chef started our food and needed to move his car. The service was excellent. The view was excellent. Dawn was our main point of contact throughout the wedding planning process and she was truly a pleasure to work with. She was always quick to respond to questions and was always willing to help accommodate our needs. She made the entire wedding planning process seamless and worry free. A friend of mine took me to the Boston College Club. (To be honest, I was slightly intimidated: I had never been to a "nice" restaurant before, and this place was definitely nice.) The 36th-floor view was stunning. I think, but I'm not positive, that all the tables were actually by the windows. I could have stayed there all night just to look at Boston in a way I've never seen it before. The food... wow. Let's just say I'm a super-picky eater, and the food was good enough to distract me from staring out the window. I had the grilled tenderloin, and I'd highly recommend it. Best dinner ever. My friend and I shared a dessert, something lemon-y, and it was pretty tasty, too. I didnt know if it was a closed club or open to the public. Upon arriving I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who directed me to my party. We were seated right along the window and had a gorgeous view of the city - mostly of the North End. Off in the distance there was a beautiful orangy yellow sunset. Perfect. Since it was restaraunt week, we were given three choices each for an appetizer, entree and desert. For an appetizer I went with the New England Clam Chowder. Gorgeous presentation. Chunks of potato. Yummy! My entree was the roasted salmon and it was the most flavorfull salmon I have ever had. It was adorned with potato puree, eggplant and mushrooms and...wow. It was incredible. For dessert I went with the apple crisp. None of the desserts options really struck my fancy, but this was incredible. So much apple and so much crisp. The wait staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Our server was always around if we had any questions and made sure we were very well taken care of. I am fortunate and blessed to be a member. This is a private member only club but you can bring guest. The place is located on the 36th floor. It is very prestigious with breathtaking views from the penthouse. The food is exquisite and the wines and the cheeses are tasty. This is a great place to engage during the networking mixers, build relationships, making new friends and have fun. The 5th star is definitely there because the price for my meal was right: free! I won a gift certificate for a free meal for 2 from a fundraiser that my friends ran, so the girlfriend and I went to enjoy a nice Friday night dinner looking out over Boston. The dining room was beautiful, with comfortable chairs, an incredible view, and a woman playing piano in the background. The service was fantastic, our waiter was friendly and engaging but not overbearing even though he only had one or two other tables when we were there towards the end of their dinner hours. We each had a soup (the lobster bisque and clam chowder) to start. They were served in a bowl garnished with chives and the soup poured expertly into the bowl at the table, complete with a plate blocking any splash back from reaching the diner (and my suit - as jackets are required for dinner). The caeser salad and crab cakes were both seasoned very well and the crab cake was cooked perfectly. For entrees, we had the fish special - an arctic char with asparagus. It was definitely good but not nearly as mind-blowing as the steak. The steak was fantastically tender and extremely tasty. I don't even remember what the sides were because everything on the table at that point took a back seat to the meat. Dessert was also a high quality endeavor. They rolled a tray over to the table with samples of what we could enjoy - and we chose a pumpkin cheesecake and apple crisp (warmed of course, as the waiter pointed out) with ice cream on top. The meal was fantastic, and definitely worth the $0 we spent on food. Unfortunately (since it's not really a restaurant) there were no wines by the glass, and the bottles were pretty pricey. I'll definitely go back if a member of the club invites me, or for restaurant week, for the food, service and view. read more

If you have an opportunity to go here, do it. The food is pretty good, but the view is excellent, as it is on top of the Bank of America building with 270 degree views. Had a corporate holiday party here. Besides the fact that we had an open bar (*wink*), the location was picture-perfect. Gorgeous views of Boston at night, 180 degrees around (from the room we were in). The decor was nice and the staff was rather good about getting food on the table (although we had a difficulty with the decaf around dessert time, think they had to press out the caffeine or something ;) ), and the food was tasty. I recently went to dinner with a friend who belongs to the club, and WOW - what a view! If you have the opportunity to dine here, do NOT say no. Several times throughout the evening, I felt bad because I was looking out the window and not at him. The food is spectacular. The unpretentious menu turns its back on trendy food and opts to keep the dishes simple and classic. We started with a prosciutto and arugula appetizer, which was dotted with a few figs (they may have been poached?) For our entrees, I ordered roast salmon with grilled endive and radicchio and he ordered grilled swordfish with potato puree and some sort of light tomato broth. Both dishes were simple, clean, and cooked to perfection. It's amazingly easy to screw up simple - after all, with these kind of dishes a chef doesn't have the opportunity to mask his/her error with fruit reduction, truffle beurre blanc, or lobster foam - but the chef knocked my fish out of the park. Nice wine list, but we couldn't make a decision and chose instead to drink by the glass. Service included classy touches like our servers removing the covers from our plates in perfect unison; their front-of-house manager must have been a choreographer in a past life. Two very nice touches - at the end of the meal, they give you a rose. Also, temperature! I am a tiny girl and I'm always complaining that places are too cold, and this night, even though Boston was covered in about 3 feet of snow and I was in a skirt and a one-shouldered sleeveless shirt, I was not even slightly chilly. For me, this is a HUGE plus, considering that I wear jeans and carry a sweater with me when it's 85 and humid. If you get the chance to go here, do yourself a favor and jump on it. read more

A group of five went for lunch during restaurant week (Dineout Boston week.) It was our first time eating at the Boston College Club. We made the reservations about 3 or 4 weeks in advance. Friday is casual dress day in our office, and three of us had on jeans with nice blazers or sweaters. A host informed us that we could not sit in the main dining room because there was a dress code that prohibited jeans. OK. The restaurant was not full. So we got seated in the "grill room" where two of our group had our backs to the view...the best thing about this restaurant. The food was average. For 25 dollars, I had a mixed gree salad for an appetizer and my entree of one crabcake. The "grilled vegetables" it came with consisted of 2 tiny slices of eggplant and a couple of red peppers. The two that got the tenderloin (served as a salad with the steak on top of it) found the meat difficult to cut. The two that got the salmon liked it all right, but it was nothing to rave about. For dessert, our waiter brought out the entire dessert to display, but informed us we could only select from 3 desserts as part of our 25 dollar meal. We could, of course, order any dessert, if we paid the extra dollars for it. Which we did not. Our waiter, Michael, seemed a bit embarassed about this, as he could clearly see our disapointment. But he did a good job with humor, and a fine job serving us. The desserts were OK. The portions were small. We got the bill. Our good waiter Michael almost missed his tip because we thought the 20 percent service charge added into the bill was his. Alas, it was not. This was a service charge apparently for the privilege of dining in the "club." When we realized this, we added the 20 percent tip in. So, our 25.00 dollar meal, with which we had no drinks, only iced tea and Coke, came to 40 bucks each. We proceeded to pay, when Michael informed us cash was not accepted. OK. So we paid with credit card, an inconvenience for our group. If a restaurant places these restrictions and invites people to come for restaurant week, the manager ought to note these restrictions, including the ridiculous service charge, at such time when the reservations are made. We had lots of choices during restaurant week. We are sorry we chose The Boston College Club. Buyer beware: there is a reason it's called a "club." We will not be back. read more

This is going to be a bit lengthy, but I have to tell you......I had the incredibly great pleasure of attending an evening, 36ish floors above Boston, at the Boston College Club, for a truly amazing dinner. It was May 20, 2021.. on the night featuring cast members from Hamilton joining us personally on a ZOOM meet!! ..Complimentary sangrias and deliciously prepared hors d'oeuvres started the evening with the most spectacular views of Boston that reached out in every direction for miles and miles. The sunset was breathtaking . When the meal was served, it was no less than marvelous...beginning with a strawberry gazpacho garnished with basil and prosciutto..and continued on with several more varied and outstanding courses,(featuring a salad, steak tartare, halibut, lollipop lamb chop) including a dessert of the most delicious (and gluten free) cheesecake I have ever had in my life. The staff was absolutely the best in my experience, and the table settings were gorgeous but not overdone. All tables were many, many, feet apart,i being more than compliant with the current guidelines for in-house dining. Masks were worn by all staff members at all times, and guests as well, when not eating or drinking. I cannot say enough about the BC Club. The Hamilton cast members, (up close and personal )aspect was more delightful than I can express...I will definitely be returning for brunches and dinners. The various menu pricings are surprisingly far more reasonable than many of Boston's other fine dining restaurants while the views and atmosphere are incomparable. Excitement, deliciousness, beauty, and a peacefulness all together. Fabulous. ... As you can see, I was extremely impressed all around. It's possibly Boston's best kept dining secret...and I highly recommend treating yourself to a dining experience there for more than just special occasions. There will be more special events, and not infrequently, that include some unique form of entertainment along with your meal. The Boston College Club is a very elegant (but not stuffy) dining option with fantastic views of the entire city from the 36th floor of the Bank of America Building in Boston's financial district. It is usually members-only, but we dined there during Boston's twice-annual restaurant week, when the public is allowed access. However, make certain that you make reservations well in advance -- there are various ID, dress, and credit card protocols to be followed when dining there. We had the reasonably priced 3 course (3 choices per course) restaurant-week lunch menu. The food was well-prepared and nicely presented, the staff were all well-trained, and the dining room was quiet (almost empty) and elegantly appointed. The only surprise was that the various grocery-store crackers which were served instead of breads with the soup/salad course were well past their out-dates. The chef perhaps did not think to sample them before serving them. Other than that minor faux pas, our meal at the BCC rated 5 stars in all categories. Our party (including four BCC alumnae) were happy to experience such pleasant surroundings and well-prepared food. read more

I love the BC Club. My husband and I are members, and regularly take our friends here. Of course the views are spectacular, the food is delicious (American fare), but the service is the best around. Our favorite waiter is Jared, who never fails to impress. The rest of the staff is outstanding- friendly, helpful and personal. My favorites there are the Chicken Fingers (don't laugh they are amazing), french fries, and the crab cakes (grill menu). They serve a seasonal salad- this years winter salad is fabulous. Finally the honey mustard sauce served with the chicken fingers is absolutely yummy. read more
