I LOVE Boston Donuts. There is nothing frilly or trendy about this donut shop. They serve basic donuts, but they serve the absolute best version of them! Anytime I have a donut from somewhere else, I am hoping that it will be as good as a donut from here and it never is. I have tried so many different shops but these donuts will always be the most delicious and freshest. This place is open almost all day and I've never had donut that was stale. My favorite are the classic chocolate bar or white cake This is the sort of place that has regulars and employees that remember you for years. We have returned to this donut shop many times and they've always provided consistent service and yummy donuts. Stopped by this afternoon for a treat with my kid for his last day of school. I got a half dozen, and there were still plenty of donuts available. Came here this morning with my wife after getting DB coffee. As soon as we came in we were greeted by a couple of nice older ladies. After the customer ahead of us got helped she asked us what we wanted. I came in for 2 donuts but they had some different flavors I'd never seen so we left with 6 lol ! Stopped by for a quick bite on my way to work. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and a Bavarian cream donut, with a can of Dr pepper. Cheerful lady took my order, bagged up my donut and threw in a bonus donut. Then she took my money and made my change. She made my breakfast sandwich and handed it to me a few minutes later. Reasonable prices, good service and tasty food. I'll gladly return to this small business instead of the mass chain that moved in close by recently. Several seats inside but I took my food to go. Oh my, you have to stop by! Drove up around 745PM on a Monday and there were plenty of donuts to choose from!! Parking is easy as it's on the corner so easy to get in and out!! As soon as you walk in it reminded me of when I was little and my Dad taking me into a mom and pop donut shop! The smell of powdered sugar and the old school set up!! Nostalgic!!! Boston Donuts has been a childhood staple for my boyfriend so it didn't take much to convince him to take me there for my first time. I love a good retro donut shop. I don't go to many donut shops, but this place is probably the best donut shop I've ever been to. Even arriving midday, their donut selection was plentiful (my boyfriend says that their selection is even more overwhelming during the early morning rush and I believe it). Service was so friendly. Even with the "slim" afternoon selection (there was still a lot to choose from), the lady that helped us was so patient with us in filling up our box. She even suggested several flavors for us to try and gave us an extra treat to take home, which was unexpected but appreciated. She wasn't wrong about trying their chocolate honey donut. Their donut sizes were big. It's not the extra small size like the big competitor that's being built right across the street. I also love how their donuts were not too sweet (even their fillings weren't too sweet)...like the big competitor that's being built across the street. Parking is great and easily accessible from both imperial and Idaho st. and very convenient to be in and out within 5 minutes. These donuts are quality. This is our go to for Sunday morning sweets. The staff is great and always so kind to my daughters. They on occasion treat them to a free treat. They sell so many other items but we've only tried their donuts but everything looks delicious. I'm frequently driving past this donut shop and no matter what time of the day, it always seemed to have several customers so I decided to stop by. The layout of the donut shop is really nice. They have their drinks, donut selection along with cookies, muffins, bagels, and rice krispies treats. Then there's a bar top seating area and they even have little toy vending machines. I've tried the jelly filled donuts and the raspberry twists which were super delicious. The thing that really stood out to me the most was their mini donuts. Not only are they delicious but they're incredibly cute! This is definitely a unique experience on its own. I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

I noticed the huge Krispy Kreme that just opened up across the street which led me to notice this place so I came to check it out. This was my first time but I love the vibe in there, it's a bit old school which I love. I tried a couple donuts and they were all delicious. They were fresh and I really enjoyed it. The coffee was also delicious too. They compliment each other really well. The staff was nice and welcoming which I think is hard to see with big businesses. New review: the last 3 times I have been here the donuts have been terrible. I don't know if there are under new management or a new owner but all 3 times I came when it was bad it was just one Hispanic lady working when before it used to be a couple Asian ladies. My daughter got a chocolate frosted donut and the chocolate frosting literally fell off in huge chunks and it tasted so bad. I've never had a chocolate donut taste like that before. The other two times the donuts were literally so oily that they were dripping oil plus the oil tasted old and dirty. The donuts literally left such a bad taste in my mouth that I haven't come back. Okay, so I usually go to YumYum because it's easy walking distance for a short trip with my kiddo... but these are what I remember pastries and donuts ACTUALLY tasting like from when I was a kid. The Apple fritter actually tastes apple-y. The cake donuts are melt in your mouth cakey goodness and I've never had a cruller before but it was delightful. New sugar trip - hit Dutch bros and then Boston donuts. Also Krispie cream is going in across the street. These are way better than any krispie cream donut I've ever had. Just sayin'. The owner/worker was very unfriendly. I walked in and she was stocking the drinks. Didn't greet me or say she will be right with me. Nobody else was in there except us two. This is by far the best donut shop I have been to. The donuts are delicious and pricing very reasonable. They have a huge variety that takes up their whole wall. They are on Imperial where the original Dunkin Donuts was years ago. They now have a krispy Kream nextdoor and a new Dunkin Donuts right down the street. I have been to both new places and they don't compare to Boston Donuts. It is family owned and all are very friendly. One of the other advantages is they brew their own coffee. Not sure what happened to this place as we used to really like their donuts. Haven't gone in awhile and went today and the quality has definitely gone down. The bar donut was so dense and not fluffy at all, the apple fritter is half the size it used to be, and the strawberry frosted donut was the only thing out of the 3 that we got that was halfway decent.
