We ran into an issue with our intercom system ringing. John responded to our call quickly and was able to schedule a technician to visit the same week. Dan was early for the appointment, incredibly knowledgable, friendly and helpful. He was able to quickly diagnose and replace our speaker and made suggestions to improve how the system is working. Very rude and unprofessional. They are scheduled to come at 8am. I gathered all my neighbors to wait for them. At 7:40 they asked me to take a picture of our intercom, that's when I knew they would be late. At 8:30 they said they need at least another half an hour because they didn't have the supply and the traffic is bad. When I asked why they didn't get the picture earlier and plan for traffic, the guy replied," Hey I just told you we didn't have the device we needed for your site. If you don't understand that , that's not my issue. You can wait or you can call someone else. " and then he said, "I'm done texting." After the I posted the review, the guy texted me, "haha appointment canceled." read more

Our intercom stopped working about a week after we moved into our newly bought condo :(. We called a couple handy men to either get no response or they were unfamiliar with our intercom setup. I reached out to the Boston Intercom Group (via Yelp) and not only did they (specifically John) respond within a few hours but also knew our make/model of intercom (Comelit). Dan came out a few days later, showed up a few minutes early and was able to fix our intercom within 20 min. He was also nice enough to take a quick look at another electrical question we had. We had a great experience with Boston Intercom Group. John was very easy to communicate with and got quotes to us very quickly and accurately. I had spent 3 weeks waiting for other electricians in Boston to get back to me to set up a date to get a quote and John did it about 24 hours within me calling. The guys who came to do the work were knowledgeable and worked fast. Our intercom system was very old and out of date (in Back Bay) and they were able to replace all the units and get it up and running in all 9 apartments in just a day and a half. Boston Intercom came and fixed the intercom and door lock in our apartment building a couple months ago. After about a week, the button to my unit stopped working as well as it had been when they fixed it. I called and asked if someone could stop by to check it out quickly and the person I spoke with told me it would cost $200 for them to come out. Little bit frustrating considering they were just out at our place, we paid them $400 for their services and the button to my unit was working fine when they were here. I was locked out of my apartment after a walk with my baby and dog. Thanks to Boston Intercom Group's impressive technology, John was able to unlock my door remotely using the intercom and an iPhone app. The video camera on our intercom added extra security by ensuring it was me at the door when he buzzed me in. Boston Intercom Group did wonderful work for my condo association. It took 2-3 weeks to get quotes from other companies for replacement of the telephone entry system in our building, John was able to complete estimates within 24 hours. An unit on a side entrance had been disabled for years because of a wiring issue that other electricians had been unable to identify, Dan, one of the techs repaired the issue promptly. John also provides wonderful customer service, he responded promptly to both emails and telephone calls. read more

Technician came 6 hours late, failed to fix the intercom saying that "manufacturer does not support 'em any more and we can only call manufacturer", failed to attach the intercom panel back to the wall properly, then RAN AWAY FROM THE HOUSE. Probably not the best place to seek help from. :) read more

Dan arrived promptly (I was given a time frame of 12-2, arrived @ 12). Dan was able to figure out what was wrong with the intercom.
