Bagels with extra cream cheese. They go light on the cream cheese, so it's best to ask for extra.

As others have said, Boston King takes care in their work. The muffins are fresh-baked and delicious, the bagels are made on-site and toasted just right, and the coffee is good. I'd recommend springing for the pour-over or syphon options for the coffee, the difference is really worth the extra money. Their sandwiches are good. Nothing that's blown my mind, but it's a great sandwich. Their latte drinks are okay, not their strongest suit. They also put a very light amount of cream cheese on their bagels, so make sure to ask for extra.

Large hazelnut iced (amazing) Double egg white, bacon, cheese, on everything (also very good)

We were seated quickly at a booth (always my preference) and our server attended to us right away, I had a glass of sauvignon blanc and we quickly settled on the grilled scallops with risotto. We weren't in the mood for the veggie advertised but the server was happy to accommodate a swap for spinach. Both of us enjoyed the meals--the scallops were grilled to perfection, the spinach steamed and hot, and the risotto creamy and tasty. Parking can be a little tricky as it is shared with a number of stores in a strip mall, but you may just have to walk a little bit. Burlington has a few good choices for dinner but you can never miss with Seasons 52.

Our server, Ana, was friendly and prompt. I had a glass of Malbec which I enjoyed; my companion had a sauvignon blanc spritzer which she said was too sweet. She had the tuna melt, which she says is hard to find on a menu anymore, and she enjoyed it although thought the temperature was a bit lukewarm. I had the corned beef reuben, one of my favorite sandwiches, which was delicious. We both enjoyed the accompanying steak fries. Neither of us are big dessert eaters but we decided to share the puff pastry which was prepared to our instructions with just a little chocolate fudge topping and no whipped cream. The accompanying cappucino ice cream was yummy although next time I'll get vanilla which won't compete with the rest of the flavors. The pastry was a bit tough, requiring a forceful knifing to cut through. We enjoyed this return to Cafe Escadrille after quite a few years absence. Our last experience was unsatisfying but this one restored our interest and we will be back.

Our server Nick was a very friendly and charming person. He earned his tip at the end. Place has an elegant vibe that would be good for a special occasion. I started with the Wollensky Salad. I found the potato croutons to be interesting and the bacon lardons somewhat tough. My filet mignon should have been the highlight and ended up being a total disappointment. I ordered it medium but was instead served almost rare. Nick asked me to cut into it and he himself said that it was somewhat rare so he took it back. Someone else brought the same steak back a few minutes later and parts were overcooked and parts were still medium rare. I also noticed that the table next to me sent one of their steaks back and also leaving it on their plates after it was brought back. For dessert, I had the coconut creme cake that was really good. I'm unlikely to go back to this restaurant even with a $55 promotion before taxes and tip. I guess that I should feel lucky that is all I paid.

Fast forward 20 years, we now have one closer in Burlington and I was so excited. The atmosphere is great, it's a nice bar, the bar tenders seem great, but the quality is not what it used to be. On our first experience when they first opened we got the crabcake because that was what I used to love. It was terrible. It was like having Thanksgiving stuffing with a couple of pieces of crab in it. It was so dry and so cakey we had to send it back. But we did discover that we loved was the carpaccio, although when I ordered this, I do ask for extra toppings on it because I feel like there's not enough but overall, it is very good. Friday night we went there for appetizers and drinks and we ordered the carpaccio with extra toppings and the angry shrimp. The carpaccio came out and it was definitely no extra toppings on it. In fact, I felt that because I ordered extra toppings they put minimal toppings, which is very strange, but I just dealt with it. The angry shrimp came out and I would've thought that I was at Kentucky fried chicken and they hadn't changed their oil in weeks. It was dark, basically one stage before being burned, and there were four shrimp. Dry and dehydrated and completely overcooked. The bartender was ok about and said it may have looked a little darker than normal , he got us another one and when that one came out, it looked better, but now there were only 3, as if we ate 1 and enjoyed it and then sent it back - not the case. When we went to go eat the second round of the shrimp had its shell still on it under the batter, we were both pulling shells out of our mouth at the bar, it was gross. We did tell the other bar tender and she apologized and took it off the bill. I just don't understand for the price people pay for this food, why the kitchen can't get it right. The shrimp should never have left the kitchen that way, and as a customer we should not have had to complain about it twice. We love going out and frequent local restaurants like Moo, and Eddie V's and we never run into this. I really wish that S&W had the same quality it used to have, it was a place we used to love, but after this experience we most likely won't be going back.
