From the very first consultation, she took the time to understand my style, needs, and how I use my kitchen on a daily basis. Her design ideas were both creative and functional, transforming my space into something my husband and I could have only dreamed of, like his coffee bar! I'm not terribly creative, so Katie really helped me fill some of the gaps for decor. Communication throughout the entire process was clear, professional, and timely. I did a partial kitchen reno and needed to match the existing quartz counters that Mona's team installed last time. Ran into a problem: they didn't have any remnants in that color, and I'd have to purchase a whole slab just to match a little section. Mona came to the rescue! She offered me a remnant of a different color that she promised matches really really closely the original color. And since the new section was to be installed across from the old one (not contiguous), it would be very hard to tell. Sure enough, it worked out perfectly and Mona saved me a lot of money by finding a creative solution. Just like last time, I was doing this long distance without seeing anything in person. With contractors there is always drama or miscommunications, especially if you are not there to supervise. Not with Mona. Her reliability, attention to detail, and smart problem-solving in every project, no matter how small, give me total peace of mind. And the prices are still very reasonable, even years later! The place was little hard for me to find because it was inside a building complex. It was not a standalone store. Once inside, the place was much bigger than I anticipated, and it had tons of carpet of samples. Rather than browsing through the carpets, I told Ellie the salesperson what I wanted. She immediately showed me carpet samples that were spot on. I took home 3 samples to see them in my home, and Ellie came over later that day to measure. I purchased the wool carpet the same day. It couldn't have been faster or easier. Carpet installation was supposed to take two days. At the last minute, we decided to move the furniture before the installers got here at 10:00-10:00 am so that they could finish in time. Tony and Ron got to my house at 9:00 am, which was great. The earlier the better. They had pre-cut the stair runners at the shop, so that made installation much faster. Tony sewed the binding on the stair runners right on site, which is a huge time saver. They did a terrific job seaming the carpet across 26' in my family room. It was put in smooth and tight. Just perfect. The job was supposed to take two days, but since they were ahead of schedule (because there was no furniture to move), they elected to work until after 7:00 pm. I got all the carpet installed in one day instead of two. No one ever works that. All my other contractors start looking at their watches at 3:00 or 4:00 pm. The guys were very friendly, clean, fast, and SKILLED. I would absolutely go with this company again. Everyone was on the ball, and knew how to do their jobs. My husband and I are really happy with the service, selection, and final result. I bought 475 sq ft of pure wool carpet for a final installed price $5367. Worth every penny. You get what you pay for. The house looks great.

We had Custom Floors Design come in to our downtown Boston space and install about 3000 square feet…read moreof carpet. The old carpet was beyond hard to get up. The glue was harder than cement and it caused a lot of problems when they were removing it. I had given them a tight window to do the install and Jermie and his crew worked tirelessly to make sure they removed it properly, created a nice surface to lay the new carpet, and got the new carpet installed in time. I'm not sure how many other companies would have put forth the extra effort he did. They did such an amazing job for my company that I had them come and carpet the entire second floor of my home and install bamboo flooring in my home office. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will use them for all my future flooring needs!

My wife and I were doing a full kitchen renovation, which meant a lot of anxiety given the complexity of the project and the cost. We worked with Amy and Leo to do the cabinets and countertops at a price that worked for us achieving our dream kitchen. The two of them are kind, knowledgeable, skilled, and fair. From Amy's responsiveness on design, price, and cabinet questions (and I asked A LOT of questions) to Leo's expertise and speed of fabricating and installing high quality countertops, this was a luxury experience at a discount price. The cabinets are high quality and beat the quotes we received from everyone else by thousands of dollars. Amy worked with us to do multiple redesigns/swap outs of cabinets to make sure our arrangement was exactly what we wanted. We were redoing a bathroom and gathering quotes and Peter at World of Kitchens was recommended by…read morenumerous neighbors. Peter checked out our bathroom and took notes and measurements but unbeknown to us, was not a contractor, just a supplier. He could not comment on our proposed bathroom layout changes or whether it would be possible to move plumbing or how big our shower should be. Before he left he gave us a number of a plumber and told us to contact him and see what he thought about our plumbing rearrangement. We expected that after this plumber came out (given prior notice by Peter that we were calling), he and Peter would work up a proposal with a price. We had a short time frame to work in and he was the last quote we were waiting on. We eventually got hold of the plumber who had no idea what we were calling about and turned out was booked for another month anyway. We then called Peter and he said oh, try this other friend (we thought another plumber) and clearly did not intend to propose anything but we should come down and look at vanities. At that point we were ready to give up and go with one of the other quotes. We were able to get a hold of this 2nd "plumber" who turned out was a contractor and also was not aware we were going to call but agreed to come out. The pro of the story was we found a great contractor and since we had found him via Peter, we felt obliged to buy some items from him. We went to the store and well, I guess I was expecting kitchen AND bathroom stuff but it was solely kitchen stuff. The only item we could get from there was a vanity and medicine cabinet and we'd have to go somewhere else to get the counter top and they'd be able to put it all together. The cabinets were not cheap (I didn't expect them to be) but we figured, we'll just buy this one thing from the guy and that's it. Of course the items would take 4 wks to arrive so we had to rush. At this point we were toying with the idea of a new layout that would affect the size of our vanity and it all depended on our plumbing which of course, was hidden in the walls and floor. Peter let us know the order cutoff was Fri (this was Sun) so if we could get him an order by then, we should have the vanity in time as to not stall the job. Our poor contractor rushed over, leaving another job, to come and assess the situation and do demo work. He spent 2.5 days tearing apart the bathroom and had his plumber come after work hours to decide if we could make this new layout happen. In the end it was a dud so we let Peter know via email on Thurs we were sticking with the original size vanity. Well no response from Peter and now Fri had passed so on Sat, we contacted Peter who says oh! I took Fri off for my son's birthday and have no access to email at home. UMMMMMMM......... what??? Even our contractor was flabbergasted like why did I bust my a** if it wasn't going to matter. Peter assured us though he would get the order in and it would still come in time.... So.... not sure what the deal was about the cutoff.... didn't we just extend our time frame another week? We went down to the store to finalize the paperwork (once again, me thinking we just have to buy this from him and that's it). We arrive and look over the numbers. He gives us the card for a granite place to pick out our vanity top. And oh, by the way, the medicine cabinet doesn't come with a mirror. So when that comes in take it to Mr XYZ and he will measure and fit it and that will take another week and that price is not included and I'm not sure how much extra that will be. OH, and I need a check for the deposit, did I forget to mention that? At least he offered to pick up the check from us. We left and I was not happy to be paying $$$$$ and having to wait so long for items to arrive and run around and get mirrors from one place and granite from another and extend our time frame. In the end we canceled our order (big weight lifted off my shoulder!) and bought all our stuff from Lowe's and Amazon which we love and was way cheaper. I'm not sure how much of a "review" this is. He is a nice enough guy and he did come out probably knowing we would only buy one cabinet. I just did not feel comfortable giving him my business with all these little nuances popping up.
