I had a pretty significant crack in the screen of my iPhone 6s after accidentally stepping on it (‍). For context- I've had this phone for many many years and have never had my screen crack before this. Positive things: Very timely in fixing my phone. Moderate price range. Conveniently located. Negative things: About a week after my replacement the top corner of my screen cracked. I did not drop my phone (or step on it, ha), nor was there any clear precipitation that would leave me with a cracked screen. This, to me, means the screen is of pretty low quality and ultimately it is no sustainable to leave it crack-free. Upon speaking with the owner he informed me that the warranty did not cover replacing the screen and simply applied to functionality of the screen. He did so in a very polite manner, so that can be filed under positive things. My issue is that there are several other nearby iPhone repair shops with better or comparable prices: iGo repairs quoted me at 90$ for the repair. They come to you and offer apple screens with a 60 day warranty. Mac & PC Guys quoted me 84$, express fixer quoted me at 69$ and, finally, Boston Mobile iPhone Repairs quoted me at 88$. My thought was go with the middle to expensive quote as I'd get better quality but I'm not so sure that is the case.I guess it just ultimately felt like a waste of 88$. I don't have enough great things to say about Valentino and the shop he operates. He's an extremely knowledgeable phone technician, and I doubt there is a problem out there that he can't fix. What's amazing about this shop is that he has a 30 day warranty with the parts he fixes (granted you don't damage the replacement in the meantime), to come back and have it fixed free of charge. In my case, I had a smashed iPhone 7 screen, and he replaced the glass in under 15 minutes. I was amazed, given the fact that an Apple store would've taken over 3 hours. With third party screens, there are bound to be certain batches that are defective or don't work quite as well as the original iPhone screen would work. But that's just how the technology works. My phone was having difficulty adjusting to the new screen, and I was encountering issues such as lagging when typing, the screen going black while the phone was still on, etc. I called Valentino and expressed my concern, and without hesitation he told me to stop by any time to get it fixed free of charge. After the second time going back, my phone was still acting up with the second new screen he had installed. At this point he presented me with many options as to what I could do next. Him seeing my concern, told me that he would be purchasing an original iPhone 7 screen, free of charge to me, to replace on my phone. Bottom line is, there are not many shops out there that would go to the lengths that Valentino went to to make a customer happy. I am pleased to say that my phone is now working good as new. So far I've had two experiences with Boston Mobile iPhone Repairs and Valentino. Back in October, I smashed the front of my phone. Valentino responded to my price estimate request immediately. Unfortunately, the estimate was more than the phone was worth (since I was 2 months from paying the phone off), so I decided not to go ahead with his services. Fast forward to two weeks ago, I get the brand new Samsung S7 Edge and less than a week later, the back cover is shattered (literally no clue how it happened, must have dropped it on a counter with something hard underneath). I again, at about 10 this morning, requested a price estimate and appointment for 1 pm today from Valentino. He gave me the listed price on the website, and informed me the fee for traveling to me and that he would need a table and outlet to do the work. He was early actually, let me know when he was on his way, and was gone within 20 minutes. Phone looks better than new! And for cheaper than the insurance deductible would have cost. Horrible experience. I had a shattered iPhone6S screen that needed to be replaced. During the repair the tech made the long screw mistake, and lied about it making up some story about how apple causes intentional damage when a non apple tech tries to change a screen. Now I have a phone with no black light thus a constant black screen and I've wasted $169. Additionally I'm going to have to go to someone else to pay $200 to get a microsoldering repair. read more

He great about calling to let me know when to expect him and when it came to fixing it he was extremely efficient. One thing to note is that the price of most new hardware like a lcd screen is typically more than you would pay for a new phone discounted with a new contract, so if you're about to get a new contract, a new phone may be cheaper than getting a replacement part. The guy was very rude and spent like 5 secs to talk to me , told me it would be 100 $ to repair screen and went back inside in his repair room.
