I prefer her office in Natick, Complete Pain Care, as its a bit more updated than Marlborough (I scheduled Marlborough out of convenience). The shots I get in my lumbar area from Dr. Pearl are relatively painless...a testament to her experience. On my last visit, I noticed a sign that said they take Discover, MC, Visa and AMEX. I gave the receptionist my AMEX and was told that they don't take it. I pointed to the sign and she apologized and said she was aware of it. I didn't want to point out that maybe they should take it down.

I was in serious pain and was seen on the same day I made the call, that in itself is amazing. Upon arrival, the staff was professional and very concerned about my condition. They listened closely as I described my ailment and told me everything that they were doing. When Dr. Blake came in I was very nervous and she recognized my heighten state. She took her time examining me and throughout the process she remained very calm and explained what she was doing. She gave me her diagnosis along with a follow-up treatment plan. The staff then proceeded to take care of all the follow-up appointments needed, from booking my MRI to calling my PCP to get prior approval. That has never happened to me with any other Doctor's office. Usually I'm the one making all the calls. I wish I could give Boston Pain Specialist a perfect 10 but 5 is the highest on Yelp. I totally recommend them if you are looking for caring and professional people.

She barely let me say my name, when she demanded to know why I wanted to see them. She let me know, they no longer are a "full service" pain clinic. They do not do anything but injections. When I tried to inquire more, she already decided I was not a correct fit and told me to look elsewhere. I tried to even ask where they'd recommend I look. (Surely before they stopped all their treatment plans, they sent their patients somewhere?) Nope, nothing. Then hung up. So unless you just need a steroid injection and willing to wait a long time, check out somewhere else.

So far so good .I'm not in pain yay!!! I certainly would recommend him to any of my friends and family or to anyone suffering in pain I think if he can help you he will. I made an appointment. I confirmed " this is the appointment for the injection?" I was told " yes" When I was seen, I was told that they couldn't inject me unless they had x rays( I would have brought them if this had been explained) I offered to contact the ortho and have the results faxed. Oh no, I couldn't get an injection that day because they can't bill for an eval and an injection in the same day. Yeah, you read that as it was told me me, by Dr Pearl. They had to have two appointments so they could bill for two.

Matt is there to keep prescriptions going, he's great and some of the office staff that I really like are still there and I pray they don't leave too. I really wish they would let their patients know what is going on and keep us informed. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but it's hard when you're kept in the dark. Dr. Doherty left without keeping his scheduled injection appointments which was really bad but I get the feeling he had no choice. I get injections for my leg pain and he also did nerve ablation in my low back to help keep that pain under control so without him it's unclear what my future looks like. The medication I take only goes so far and I'm not willing to take more. I really hope this practice gets their act together, gets good new good providers like Dr. Doherty was, keep Matt and the staff happy and give their patients the quality care they deserve. I understand that the Attorney General's office is involved. I was able to get my Granite State medical records from the attorney general's office but no one knows what happened to the medical records that I had to submit prior to being accepted as a patient at Granite State. That is a major HIPPA violation losing a patient's medical records. I had to wait almost a year for them to review my records before accepting me as a patient. I hope the Attorney General's office nails them to the wall and pulls all their licenses as they were a bunch of sanctimonious jerks.
