Lotus Herb & Tea is such a cute spot, and they sell various wellness products, including bath and body, loose leaf tea blends, tea accessories, and even plants! Teas are sourced from all around the world and blended in house. Staff are so friendly, and I'm glad that I got a taste of their herbal tea. Apparently she has to park in 2-hour parking and move her car every so often. As someone who knows Sacramento's schizophrenic parking restrictions all too well, I immediately sympathized. Upon inhalation, there was a sparking sound and the resulting vapor tasted smoky or burnt. I noticed this error immediately upon leaving the store, so I immediately reentered and informed Muhammad that the cartridge was faulty. He seemed hesitant to believe me, so I explained and demonstrated the issue. He told me that he would exchange it as a one time thing and that I shouldn't expect returns or exchanges in the future. I agreed and explained that I wasn't interested in returning or exchanges items, I just wanted a working vape. All was well. I even gave him his first 5-star review immediately following the entire event. Here's the thing though, when I tested the new vape, it was also defective. I didn't even mention that in my review because I gaslit myself into thinking that's what all Flums tasted like, and I even felt bad for returning the original faulty cartridge. Here's where it all went south. When I returned this week. The first thing he told me was not to expect any returns or exchanges. He then showed me that he still had the vape I'd returned a week prior behind the counter and that he'd "tested" it and somehow came to the conclusion that it worked. He then proceeded to try and shame me for returning it. I have pictures that clearly show the defective vape next to a previously used one that worked properly. There is a clear split running along the seam of the defective vape and the badging around the back is different. The defective vape features the "UT" logo with a ™ 'trademark' symbol while the vape that worked shows the ® 'registered' symbol. I don't know if Muhammad bought vapes under the table, but the Flum pebbles he's selling are clearly different than the ones other shops are and they taste like the coils are burnt. He told me he doesn't smoke, so I couldn't even properly demonstrate how awful it was. All he saw was vapor and thought "this guy is ripping me off." All in all, just bad customer service. I was trying to help bring people into this place, but it's not worth it. Muhammad is not a MooJee, he is just moody.
