We came here on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate our friend's birthday and although the vibes wasn't as lit as a previous Sunday it was still a good time. Food was chef kiss delicious. I had a steak and onion (Bife encebolado) and my meat was cooked medium well like I asked. It came with yuca fritters and potatoes chips. My friends got the churrasco mixto and they both said it was delicious. My sister got the sirloin ( picanha) It came sizzling hot and smelled amazing. It was cooked just like my sister asked which was medium well. Our table had no complaints about the food as it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The drinks were also pretty good. I had passion fruit caipirinha which had the perfect amount of sweetness and still tasting the rum. My friends had the Brazilian old fashioned and a coconut caipirinha. The staff was super attentive checking on us frequently and interacting with us. This place was definitely worth the 95 south traffic jams.

Modern ambiance and good food! Their yucca fries were incredible and the picanha was delicious as well. If you like Brazilian food definitely check this place out!

We went for dinner with friends but when we arrived we were surprised to find that it was carnaval night; which meant that after dinner the restaraunt turned into a dancing party event. It was a blast to experience. But first, the food was delicious. I've had Brazilian food before but this was really good. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers for the table instead of meals. This way we got to experience a little of everything. Only one of us ordered a whole meal which was the paella and according to him it was delicious and very savory and perfect meal size. We ordered a bunch of different drinks: caipirinha, passionfruit caipirinha, beers, and so on... the passionfruit caipirinha was amazing! My favorite was their picanha sliders and their pork belly. . The bork belly was so nice and crisp- perfection. Give it a try. The kitchen does close at a certain time and they do come around and advise ahead of time so you can place your last orders if you choose. Afterwards, they removed all of our tables and chairs, the music comes on and everyone just starts dancing. It was lovely to watch this culture love their culture the way they do. We had an amazing evening. Everyone speaks English perfectly. Everyone was super pleasant, our waiters/waitress were always around. We couldn't of asked for a better night. Thank you (Thru also have GF, vegetarian options and some of their meals do include cheese but I altered my own meals to be DF)

The food here was incredible--everything was seasoned to perfection! Every dish was bursting with flavor. My only regret was not coming with more people because most of the plates are great for sharing. Can't wait to come back and try even more of the menu! Highly recommend!

Picanha, Feijo, rice, Linguia e Mandioca, Batata Frita. You can somewhat see the picanha nearly hanging off the table.

The food here is delicious. This restaurant introduced me to picanha sliders with pão de queijo as the bun. I'll be forever grateful for that. This place is lit on Friday's and Saturday's as they have a live music. The food and drinks were really impressive but their tables my guest and I were seated at were too tiny and awkwardly placed. The food we ordered barely fit on the table and we were forced to shuffle dishes around just to make space. I really wish they would find a solution for this. The manager, front of house, and the waiter were really friendly. It was nice of them to explain some of the dishes as we were unfamiliar with a few of them even as Brazilians ourselves. I totally recommend this place.

Very good restaurant very welcoming staff, live music was playing, waitress was very attentive and our wait for food was very short. Owner walked around the restaurant and was greeting customers asking if we were enjoying our meal which was really nice. Very nice atmosphere ambience is really nice I definitely would recommend this place. They have a location in NYC but it was closed so they opened this location in Norwalk and that was a very good decision. We will be back. Only thing that was a little upsetting is that my wife requested to wrap up her leftovers. Once we got home we noticed that we did not receive our leftovers that was a little depressing and sad. But overall very good experience

Cute little place .. the food here is spectacular and they have the BEST guava Caipirinhas I ever had .. however service is not that good .. the girls at the bar are not really paying attention ..

The fraldhina, I would give it a 3/5.

I have been eyeing Ipamena since it came to Norwalk, and finally made it there! First, when it comes to location, ambiance, service, they did a great job with this restaurant. The location is just next to the movie theater, in a really nice setting. It has an industrial look, with huge fans on the ceiling, and a bar across the entire back of the restaurant. The service was friendly and helpful. We left before live music began. Now, the food. As you can see, unlike many of my Yelp counterparts, I am not giving a five star review off the bat. That is because I want them to earn it! Let's break it down. We had only two dishes, so there is still a lot of room for me to be impressed with other entrees. We began with the picanha sliders, which were a burger, hopefully ground from picanha in-house, with a cheese for which I do not know the name, sitting on a delicious Pao de Queijo (cheese bread). This was probably the best slider/burger I have ever experienced at a restaurant. While I would have preferred them a little more cooked (they were rare), their flavor was noteworthy. They were heavy, I will admit, but packed with so much flavor. The bottom because juicy, but the bread was still crunchy, and the cheese to meat to bread ratio was PERFECT. This was a 5/5. We did have a couple of drinks to accompany our meal, a passion fruit cosmo, and a caipirinha. They were both delicious. For our entree, we both stayed close to a favorite dish, the fraldinha, a skirt-steak-like cut of beef. It was accompanied by some vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a chimichurri. There were also rice and beans. The chimichurri was nice and flavorful, as were the mashed potatoes. The rice and beans were amazing (though I did find a small bone in the leftovers I took home). But, they were still 5/5. All of that said, the steak left me disappointed. I have had fraldinha at multiple other restaurants, and what really makes it a favorite cut of meat, is the unique flavor of it. This seemed to be a simple skirt steak, not the flank steak I would have liked, but I am no expert and could be wrong. But, it came lukewarm, and was a bit tough. That made it disappointing since that was the star of the meal. This is why we are at four stars instead of five. So, intend to visit again and get the picanha, and see if my experience with their steak is better. However, I will be talking about those sliders for years to come!

After seeing the recommendation from Yelp about a week ago I stopped in to have lunch and all I can say is Bravo on the recommendation. Initially as we drove by I was not too excited about the place; the outside is very generic and not necessarily to inviting but from the moment we got in until we left we were truly impressed with the place-the decor, service and food! We made reservations but did not necessarily need them; we visited after lunch but before dinner. As you walk in they have a large bar with plenty of seating for dining and or drinks. The tables are properly spaced so you feel comfortable even with Covid-19 protocols. For starters we had the linguistic (sp?) a Portuguese sausage served with yucca and hot sauce. It was absolutely delicious! The yucca was perfectly fried, nice and crispy but yet soft inside. The hot sauce was a perfect companion to the sausage. For our entrees I had the skirt steak served with veggies, mashed potatoes, rice and beans. Because of my dietary preferences I asked to substitute the mashed potatoes for some extra veggies and it was not a problem. The steak was cooked perfectly and the veggies were excellent, not just a bunch of steamed veggies. They were fresh and tasted really good. My wife had the shredded chicken croquettes and she loved them! It was an appetizer serving but she was pleased with the portion. We left room for dessert and I am so glad we did; we had a passion fruit mousse which was so good! Overall the experience was excellent and to top it off because I checked in I was able to take advantage of the 15% off benefit for checking on Yelp! Definitely give this place a chance because you will enjoy your meal and the service!

Amazing place!!! My husband and I made a reservation to announce our pregnancy to my family and the staff was more than great. They offered great recommendations for the champagne. They were welcoming, super friendly and patient with our group. They did a great job helping us announce our news. And they also gave great detail on their menu items. They treated us with desserts which was amazing, and even a couple of shots for the rest of the family. The food was very well presented and delicious also. I can't help but say good things about our experience!

The chicken was the highlight, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and really well seasoned. You can tell it was freshly made. The cornbread was also really good, soft, warm, slightly sweet, and even better with the sorghum honey butter. The mac & cheese was great. it was rich, creamy, and felt homemade in the best way. I'm not usually a fan of cole slaw, and this one was a bit watery, I should have asked if I could swap it out. The desserts were a highlight too, the peach empanada was nice and warm, buttery, paired perfectly with the ice cream and icing, and the banana pudding was smooth, classic, and comforting with the nilla wafer crumble and fresh banana. Even my starter arugula lemon vinaigrette salad was delicious. Service was excellent and attentive, and the ambiance is definitely upscale and stylish. (Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.
