Great place for a semi casual date, business meeting, or solo flyer diner like myself The service was amazing through and through. I had the New York Strip, truffled mashed and horseradish sauce on the side, OMG steak cooked to perfection, rested the right amount and melted like butter. Libations, a glass of Il Bastardo, and for dessert, a slice of key lime pie with a smoked peanut butter ol fashioned. We ordered an appetizer and a main dish. - The appetizer was SIZZLING, THICK-SLAB BACON with a relish of pickled dill heirloom tomatoes and Vidalia onion, topped with umami bomb steak sauce. Great steaks at a busy restaurant with casual ambience. I had been looking forward to steak for some time and this was just what I needed. I got the filet mignon and triple baked potato. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got a filet mignon Oscar style, which includes crab meat on top. Also delicious. Super fresh shrimp and they're a very nice size, served up on ice with delicious horseradish sauce... so good. I had the Chicken & Waffles and they were very good. Once I mentioned it I was served a new set of eggs - these ones were totally undercooked. The egg whites did not properly form and solidify around the yolk - and the yolk was totally runny and the pouch was full of water. I mentioned it to the server - but I doubt that the feedback made it to the kitchen. During a weekend in Norwalk, my boyfriend and I stumbled across this place by chance. We had planned to celebrate our anniversary at Match, but by lunch time, were hungry for lunch and needed something that opened before 5 PM. This was the perfect spot for us. It's not too fancy where you feel bad for wearing jeans, but nice enough that it scratched the romantic itch. We visited during the holidays around lunch time; the decor was off the charts Christmas in the most wonderful way. There was a musician playing guitar and singing, but it was genuinely pleasant. I don't love live music in a restaurant, but noise was controlled enough that I could still have a conversation. Once I saw the specials menu, I knew I had picked the right place. "12 Days Of Truffle" -- yes, truffle means prices of everything skyrocket, but it's worth it to me. We ordered the King Salmon Tartar appetizer off the truffle menu, which was delicious. The salmon was super fresh and a good portion, too. We also ordered the Bone Marrow appetizer, which simply melts in your mouth. And the little pile of chicken liver that came with it was astounding. I would 100% order that again despite the price. For our meals, my boyfriend ordered a waguy steak off the truffle menu. I ordered the brunch burger (sans egg). We both loved our meals! (I will say, the burger was cooked to a medium, not a medium rare like I requested. But I'm not a stickler about that.) Of course I got a side of truffle parm french fries because, if you couldn't tell, I love truffle. Those were great, too! I don't have a single complaint about any of the food or service I received. The service was a switch between one guy and another guy so it was never clear on who our waiter was so that could have been a problem in a way. Ultimately for the best steak house we were sadly expecting a lot more for the price we paid, because at that price the quality should have been way better than what we were given. Delicious! The place felt very cool and was very crowded. I highly recommend a reservation. We went on a Saturday night and it was full. They did have some TVs with the game going but I didn't feel like a sports bar at all. Our waitress wasn't the most attentive but the busting staff was right there if you did need something. For example the wrong dessert was delivered to us and after a couple minutes a bust boy brought the correct one without us having to ask someone for help. We got the spinach + artichoke dip which came with toasted bread. This was great and the toasted bread for some reason made it different than other places. The artichoke dip had big pieces of artichoke but not big floppy pieces of spinach. We both got steaks (filet mignon and ny strip). Both came out perfectly cooked and I thought the chard outside layer added to the flavor. I highly recommend getting a sauce with a steak. I loved the peppercorn one and my partner liked the steak sauce but did not like the clarified smoked butter. We got mashed potatoes as a side which we enjoyed. They tasted like gold potatoes and made a perfect bite with a piece of steak, sauce, and potatoes! We got the apple situation and ny style cheesecake for dessert which were both lovely. My team and I got together to get dinner while away for a team meeting. When I arrived I had to circle to find parking. When I walked in, the place was buzzing. Scott was our server and he was to the point and made no errors for our large group. We started with appetizers of calamari and deviled eggs to name a few and everything was good. I've heard great things about this restaurant before but I did not have the chance to come here but I am so glad to have the opportunity. My colleague was having bone marrow for the first time and I joked that she was getting her bone marrow transplant (Medical joke). Since it was her first time, I was afraid she wouldn't like it. Beef Wellington: everyone loved the filet mignon, but the puff pastry part, not so much. It didn't stay crispy and firm enough to really enjoy with the steak. When I cut it, everything had already started to become wet. Still, very happy to finally try beef Wellington for the first time! Between the porterhouse for two and the ribeye, definitely the porterhouse tasted better. The sauces were mostly a miss for me, didn't really need it. The oysters are soo fresh and delicious though! We tried to make online reservations for 7p.m Saturday evening to coincide with our other plans. No luck. We called the restaurant and it was explained that there were only 2 dinner seatings, and 7p.m was not an option. With some shuffling of plans, we booked a table for 6 p.m. dinner seating, being told we only had the table for 2 hours. The place was neither full or packed with occupied tables both when we arrived and when we left. We were warmly greeted and seated upon arrival. Water was brought (choice of tap, still, sparkling) and our waiter soon came over to ask about drinks and recite daily specials. While the wine selection seems plentiful, as a beer drinker I would have liked to see more draft or bottled choices. I got the WP lager and although it was o.k., I would not look to get again. I liked the menu variety which includes dishes one does not readily find elsewhere. For appetizers we ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and the the thick slab bacon. The oysters (4) were beautifully presented and tasted fresh and delicious. The bacon (1 slab cut) was full of flavor and the accompanying sauce and tomato and onion was a hit. For entrees: The Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly, cut like butter and had a crispy exterior. Hints of rosemary were detected which was a different take. Very satisfying. The braised short ribs were fork tender but perhaps needed a touch more moisture or simple gravy. The truffled parsnip puree was a lovely and unexpected standout in this dish and well complemented the short ribs. The broccoli rabe for me was not the best pairing at all. I would have preferred to see carrots, acorn squash, cabbage, green beans. Service was attentive and good until we were given dessert menus and reminded that our 2 hour time limit was almost up. We wanted to enjoy an apertif and settle our stomachs before a possible dessert. We felt unnecessarily rushed as the table next to us sat empty as did many. This tells me volume and not the dining experience is what is important to this establishment. What a shame. Restrooms were adequately clean but hallway and walls outside seemed to need cleaning and care. Parking in lot across street was full upon our arrival and departure so we parked elsewhere and walked. While the website states parking will be validated, no one asked or offered this perk on our visit. I would not be hesitant to give the menu choices and what we ordered 5 stars, however, too many of the little details are lacking to give the overall experience 5 stars, especially considering the high prices. read more

We stopped in on an early Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not too busy. The service was quick and good, the restaurant was a bit on the dark side. We ate at the high top tables by the bar area. To start off we had the thick slab of bacon which was really good. For our dinner, my son and I decided to share the Porterhouse for 2 at a medium rare temperature. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. It was served with some horseradish sauce which unfortunately I did not necessarily care for; good thing it was served on the side and not all over the steak. First time here and it was a very positive experience! From the moment I walked in the door to the time we finished our meal, it was top notch. I love the option to eat outside of course in these weird times. I had the short rib and passed on the truffle parsnip purée because I hate truffle anything. They were kind enough to swap out the parsnips for french fries and they were delicious. But let me tell you about the short rib. It was perfect. It was deliciously moist as a good short rib should and not too salty. It's remarkable to me that some restaurants can mess up a short rib dish but they do. I was expecting this one to be very good as this is a premium steakhouse and I was not disappointed. My dining partners had steak and they liked them too. They were cooked perfectly. Oh I forgot to mention the starters. We had shrimp and a spinach artichoke dip. I could've eaten this as my entree. Lots of cheese and packed with flavor. Our waiter was great. Went here for an early Mother's Day brunch on a Sunday. FYI, street parking was free on Sunday directly outside the restaurant! We sat in the heated terrace and it was very warm. We had made a reservation but there were plenty of empty tables when we went around 2pm. I had the carne ranchero and it was delicious - came with beautiful (maybe homemade?!) flour tortillas, beans w/ white cheese, guac, steak, and 2 perfectly poached eggs. It was kinda pricey but I'd say worth it, as the steak was delicious and I was able to take home about 1/3 leftover. My mom had the prime dip which was good not great; the flavor was delicious but it wasn't shaved meat more like largely ground. Also truffle fries... honey, truffle?! Where?!? None to be found/tasted! We both had a blood orange mimosa which was delicious and a solid pour. Finished the meal with the deep dish key lime pie, which was sweet and tart. Great food! Went in March for a birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed both the ambiance and food. The restaurant has a few sections to satisfy different groups of people, which I appreciate. We were seated in a private room, which was perfect for us. The menu is not extensive, but each item sounds delectable. We got two salads, the cauliflower steak, as well as a regular steak. Salads were basic but delicious. The steak was apparently very delicious and cooked to perfection. I wish my cauliflower steak wasn't just a head of cauliflower chopped in half and roasted. I personally believe if it had been sliced and then roasted I'd have less of a difficult time chewing and slicing through the food. I'm not the chef however so what do I know lol. The chimichurri sauce and vinegar grapes were surprisingly delicious and paired perfectly with the fingerling potatoes and cauliflower, which was otherwise very bland. Hopefully they're able to take suggestions and keep these things in mind while curating and editing future menus. Prices were reasonable for a nice steakhouse, so no complaints. I did order a wine that never showed up, so that was a bummer, however when we told our waiter he was very quick to adjust that from our bill. Overall, I would recommend this for a nice occasion, or even just when you want some good food and don't mind paying steakhouse prices! ps parking can be tough, as it's right in SoNo. There is a parking garage right around the corner however so that could be a good alternative if you don't mind paying and don't want to walk far at night. We went here for the first time- they've been here 10 years which is a lot in restaurant years. We chose it to celebrate my 3,000 first time to a restaurant! The manager, Webster, was very nice. We were seated in a booth with the Beatles by us and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. My Caymus Conundrum was wonderful and they have quite a few good wines by the glass. We ordered the lobster toast from their 10 year anniversary menu and the brioche and sauce were excellent but I did not care for the lobster ( tasted frozen). Our ribeye though was excellent- cooked to the right temperature, with a huge baked potato, grilled asparagus and a very good chimichurri. One steak was enough for 2 of us AND we had leftover. Washington Prime is one of them and a true stand out! We have visited here before covid and enjoyed ourselves. However, it was for a quick bite. I left saying I want to come back to enjoy/try more before writing a review. We had a special Saturday night dinner here (without children) and it was a delight! We were seated on the heated patio area which they have transformed to be the most wonderfully warm and inviting space. Having seen it pre-covid I would dare say it is even better!! The have heat lamps above each table and the enclosed space is colorful, warm, and inviting to sit at. There are many wonderful seating options at this restaurant and this is yet another one. Service was great. Our waiter took care of us well and made sure we had everything we needed. He was friendly and efficient. All other staff was also wonderful too.....This really is a well run restaurant! We started with a cocktail and wine- I had the "figgin delicious" which is a rum based drink. It was just the right amount of strong and slightly sweet. Well presented with a large cube and a lemon twist. We had the New England clam chowder which was creamy, chock full of clams, and hit the spot. Then entrees were the lamb chops done rare (per request) with spinach risotto and carrots. This dish was really good- well seasoned and just great flavors....so delicious. It was a larger sized portion so was only able to finish half (had to save room for dessert). The other dish was the Beef Wellington. This was the only slight miss of the night. It was suppose to be medium rare and came out medium well. My husband is pretty flexible with meat temps so he ate it and said he enjoyed it. That came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We also got sides of cauliflower and macaroni and cheese. We ended with espresso and cappuccino and the apple cake dessert. It was a perfect dessert to split at the end of a larger meal- light and sweet. Came for the pre fixed Valentine's Day menu. Options were good and there many ways to upgrade the entrees. Our server was attentive and answered our questions while giving recommendations. I started with a generous portion on Ahi Tuna tar tar. My wife had the the Caesar salad. We both had steaks for our entree. My wife had the pre fixed sliced 8 oz NY strip and I upgraded to the 22 oz rib eye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and came with mashed and asparagus. There was also a veal Demi glaze that was excellent. We finished our meals with a NY cheesecake and a flourless chocolate cake. All in all the food was very good and the atmosphere was good. We dined in the enclosed terrace; passing cars and motorcycles interrupted conversation every now and again, which is unavoidable in the space, but it was still nice. Beef Wellington: The steak itself was extremely tender and juicy. Cutting into it was literally like cutting through butter -- very smooth. It seemed to have been served as medium-cooked, though the server mentioned it would be medium-rare. However, I'm not complaining as I prefer my steaks medium. It was delicious when dipped into the red wine sauce. The puff pastry didn't really add much to the steak -- arguably it stole a bit from it as there seemed to be a thinner layer of crust around the actual meat versus other steaks since they cook the steak somewhat, then bake it in the pastry. With smooth, buttery mashed potatoes and thick stalks of asparagus, overall, this meal was a winner. Very good. Creme Brulee: Classic creme brulee. Not much to note here; it was tasty, sweet, and thick. I did try the mac and cheese our party bought to share -- would skip, trust me. The description was mouth-watering, but the execution missed the mark entirely. The cheese sauce was much too runny and weak where the taste of the noodles shined a bit too much. CROOKED practice. The waiter essentially ripped us off. He pressed my guest into getting the wagyu ribeye. He literally badgered him about which ribeye he wanted until it was super uncomfortable. The regular menu ribeye would have sufficed for sure, but the waiter kept pressing. My guest was embarrassed at this point so he gave in and said "sure".
