Great sandwich with lots of flavor. They have a gluten free bread/wrap, but I felt that it would be better to have ordered the sandwich as a salad. The bread is crumbly (not uncommon for gluten free bread but still it makes it unwieldy) and flavorless and dry and overall takes away from the very very good sandwich fillings. I say this as someone who has been gluten free for five years and does actually enjoy a lot of gluten free breads. read more

I entered here not expecting much but the two items I got were amazing. Their sausage pizza was addictive from first bite. The crust is thin, flaky, and has a nice buttery taste The sausage was delicious. It was light on sauce and cheese but was perfect. I also got the packaged tiramisu in the fridge and it was amazingly delicious. Also addictive. The decor is cute and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is through a narrow paved passage next to the building and is a bit tight but it is a beach spot. read more

I love this place. I live up the street so how did I miss out on their gem. Beyond me. Sit outside with a glass of wine in summer and enjoy the great sandwich's, pizza and frozen Italian ice in an orange or lemon. And if you want to take the best eggplant parmigiana you have ever eaten,home, it's in The freezer. I now walk down the street and have it on standby in my freezer. I am half Italian and I know authentic when I taste it. Not easy to get the eggplant that tender and tasty. Great way to unwind and have some wine and charcuterie. Or pick up sandwiches for the beach or when on the way to Newport film on Thursday night. The owners are lovely and they are local. Support these people. read more

I ate here last year, and it was absolutely incredible. Hadn't been back until today, and the service was great, however the food I received could not have been further from what I had before. We ordered paninis, one with chicken and one with prosciutto. The chicken was overly fried and super dry, and the prosciutto was just deli ham, not prosciutto. To top it off, there wasn't even any bread included in the order! They gave us store-bought tortillas instead of bread, without us knowing until we brought it back home to eat. I'm not sure what happened, or if today is just an off-day, but what we received was just not acceptable, especially considering the price. read more

We live up the street from this place. I started by getting a lasagna for my husband and his buddy on a day I didn't want to cook when I got home from work. It was a very authentic dish! On a walk to the beach a month later I asked my husband to pop in and get me a pastry and coffee. I had him try a bite of my apricot croissant and he's been calling everyday to see if they have any! It was that good. He also gets their coffee each time and doesn't need sugar because he says it's good coffee. He ordered the prosciutto sandwich and we've gotten it 4 times since, it's so large we share it - fresh and delicious! Half is perfect for me it's so filling. read more

Take-and-heat soups and entrees, Meats and Cheeses and antipasto...espresso beverages, and made-to-order options too! Oh, they also have amazing looking fresh made pasta, sweets, and lots of imported nonperishables and drinks. I grabbed a P&C sandwich, which was this amazing 'Italian taco' with fresh mozzarella, greens, tomato, prosciutto...oil and vinegar. It was spectacular. I tried a hot latte, which was fabulous, and for takeaway I got a block of imported Fontina cheese. Friendly service made it the perfect experience. It was my first time today. I heard about it through a friend and being I had no time to prepare dinner, I thought I would try it out. I bought a big meat lasagna and a few other Italian delicacies. A hidden gem and the closest authentic Italian deli/grocer to downtown Newport. The piadines are amazing, I've had them all and the only one I didn't like was the Torino which was too salty for me. The Genova and Verdure are amazing options if you want to skip the meat. You also have to get some of their arugula pesto to go - it's amazing. However, the lasagnas are really salty. If you grab one of the little tables outside and ask for a Spritz, they'll bring you a perfectly mixed Aperol spritz with a super fresh blood orange slice. The location is in a difficult spot to get to (parking is tough during the season, very busy road) so best to walk/ride your bike here. It would be awesome if they could put up a high fence of some kind out front of the tables to block the view of the busy road. read more

What a gem! We got fresh baked bread flown from Italy which was delicious, the chicken salad was amazing, and the meatball and manicotti was also great. My coffee was very delicious as well. Love Illy coffee. Wish I had one of these by our home. It's a must go if in the area. I imagine everything else is fresh and great as well. You can tell they love what they do. read more

I cannot even begin to tell all how amazing this deli is. I have been a steady patron now for several months and i could not be happier with the fresh ingrediants that i have found here. My hubby is Italian and I am Irish so i have a lot to prove but Victorio has guided me expertly in creating the most fabilous Italian dishes. I could not be mote pleased to have a local Italian deli to guide me thru the process of making the most amazing Italian dishes. I have alot to prove and my most recent creation was a huge hit thanks to the guidance of Victorrio. He is so helpful and always gives me the best culinary advice. My most recent eggplant parmissian was a huge hit and i did not even have any left overs. His sauce is fabulous and the fresh Mosserella was to die for. I come here once a week and always find something new to create the most fabulous Italian dishes. I can not thank him enough for his expert advice and the most amazing imported ingrediants. Oh and the pizza dough is spectacular! I just throw my stuff on and bake it and everyone is in awe! But Victorrio gets all the credit really. Sitting outside in their bistro chairs eating our sandwiches was a divine way to spend an afternoon before heading back for a beach walk. Great illy coffee, hot and running barista machine (taste approved by European husband), cute shop, easy and straight forward with delicious sandwiches (thin prosciutto yummm) and amazing bread loaves with semolina (flour from Italy). We devoured the loaf when we got home ;) Definitely want to go back to try some of their other baked goods, prepared sauces and things in fridge for easy dinner option! read more
