    Gluten-free bolognese with fresh mozzarella
    Siobhán C.

As a really nice treat I bought the bolognese and added fresh mozzarella. I was pleasantly surprised with how good this whole experience was! From the genuine man behind the counter, clean and simple atmosphere with good music, plus the food was amazing! definitely looking forward to coming back.

I live around the area and I've always wanted to visit but never really got the chance to until now. I received a $10 giftcard from Nift for Bottega which was the only reason why I went. I went on a Friday at around 6pm and it was pretty empty. I was the only person there and ordered takeout but they did have a lot of delivery orders. I ordered a build your own pasta with fettuccine and the bottega sauce. I also ordered the tiramisu. The cashier didn't really know how to use the giftcard which was not a big deal because that happens a lot at other businesses. It took around 11 minutes for the pasta to come out so definitely a fast casual place. Not a lot of seating either so expect to do takeout or don't come with a group. The pasta was bland. I thought the sauce was nothing special- it tasted like alfredo sauce. The tiramisu was disappointing as well. The bottom half was drenched. Overall, I don't think I would come again unless I had a giftcard.

I can only speak for the food itself. I just ordered it from postmates and it was....underwhelming. The bruschetta which I ate before I took a picture of it was okay. The bread was barely toasted and couldn't taste any garlic with only a light drizzle of olive oil. But it was still better than the lasagna pictured below. I paid 12$ for something that is as big as the bread of my 3$ bruschetta. My main issue is with the portion size which is why I am doing 4/5 stars, in a more perfect world I would put a 3.5 but I will round up. The lasagna itself was cooked well, very meaty with a good proportion of marinara sauce. It was lacking on the cheese. Overall, while it wasn't bad, I was underwhelmed for its price. I might be interested visiting the actual restaurant front, but I won't be ordering from it again anytime soon.

Spinach, Zucchini, and Asiago cheese sfogliatella & triple chocolate cake

I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time and am so glad I was able to stop by to try it. It's a convenient location on Harvard Ave in Brookline, right near Coolidge Corner. I wanted to try one of their pastas but was looking for something a little lighter, so I ended up ordering Spinach, Zucchini, Asiago cheese sfogliatella, and a piece of triple chocolate cake. The sfogliatella was nicely toasted and flakey and flavorful. There was good texture from the vegetables and it was very easy to cut into without breaking into pieces. The chocolate cake was rich, not too dense, and the frosting added a nice touch of sweetness to the cake. This place sells goods as a market, but there are a few tables where you can dine in and eat your food. Each day of the week they have specialty items, so I will be back on the day I can get my bechamel lasagna.

Ordered carbonara and my pasta tasted like butter pasta, I left this as a note through the Uber Eats app and the restaurant replied, "how come carbonara taste like butter if there is no butter in it. you definitely should check your taste buds." I copy and pasted that. I LAUGHED from how shocked I was! Just added an attachment so you can see it for yourself! Terrible food and now I have to say terrible staff... not worth it at all! Shout out to UberEats for being so nice and patient through the process...

    Lasagne Alla Bolognese

Giving 3 stars for the sole reason that my cannoli was great, super crunchy shell. Unfortunately my order was overly salty, and the (cheese-less BTW) lasagna was smaller in length than a plastic fork, literally the size of my fist. (See picture) Won't be coming back here, but glad I got complimentary bread with my order, at least...

Spaghetti with meatballs and pomodoro sauce
    Kevin W.

The food was ok here, the meatballs were a bit plain, the pomodoro sauce a bit salty and the lobster ravioli rather unfilling. The shop itself is very cute and people were constantly coming in for pickup orders. I didn't have the best experience during my visit but I think I would come back to try a different menu item. Would give it a 3.5 star.

Chicken Parmigiana and fettucine alfredo with chicken
    Eunice Y.

my friend and i ordered the chicken parmigiana and a build your own of fettucine alfredo with chicken. both were not the worst thing ever, but maybe not the best we've ever had either in terms of our taste. the pomodoro for the chicken parmigiana was kind of acidic and sour and the alfredo was a very dry blandish sauce (not creamy). regardless we enjoyed our meal but probably wouldn't come again over trying some other pasta place

    Danielle - A Pseudonym B.

Good stuff. I recommend this place for pasta if you want to build your own pasta and you don't want it to just taste like the typical pizza place pasta. I got the pomodoro and they also seemed to have added a bruschetta which I got which was lovely. The only recommendation I would have is I wish they would sell a small side salad for about $5 or $6 to add to the menu. I recommend!

I spent a long time just browsing the store because it's beautifully arranged. Even though it's fairly small, they make good use of the space. You can get locally made ice cream and honey, as well as kitchenware imported from all over the world. I found a very cute Christmas gift for my mom. There also sell cheeses, spices, teas, hot sauces - a lot more than I can list. Easily accessible whether you're driving or using public transit. There's street parking in many places along Beacon Street and the shop is right next to the Summit Avenue stop on the C branch of the Green Line.

I think my only knock was that I'd have hoped my particular dish was a bit more generous in portioning, but given a look at the other things my friends ordered, this looks like it's not necessarily the norm across dishes. Great quick bite-- parking is pretty easy on this street in the morning too, so I'd recommend!
