The PROS: - amazing meat & cheese quality - very generous portion size - flavorful - outdoor chairs to sit outside - friendly staff The CONS: - a fully split-thru subroll allows contents to fall out - lack of size options sm/md vs. lg - "hots" are listed but they're not "hots". They're hot peppers/banana peppers. True hots are the red hot relish spread/hoagie spread - It'd be fantastic if the sandwiches came with Scala Bread or had an option to. I love the sesame seeded bread I ordered the Italian, and again, the meat & cheese were fantastic. They were sliced thin, and full of flavorful. Drawbacks to the sandwich is that the lettuce was spilling out from the back, and the pickles were a bit thick and perhaps had a pungent taste. Maybe the solution is to slice the pickles thinner and have a more savory brine. Regardless, tasty and you'll get your fill. read more

I had such an amazing experience here! I love when businesses are easy-going and encourage modifications. I got the Chicken Parm Panini and was able to add both a lil vodka sauce and pesto on top, YUM! Not sure if offended the staff or Italians with that one. While you're waiting for your food to be prepared, they have a selection of packaged goods and cute trinkets/gifts. It makes the atmosphere all the more engaging and cute! I was SO close to buying these adorable pasta candles as well as some Pan di Stelle cookies...might need to swing back. My panini was delish! We picked up 3 pasta dishes tonight including a Penne with Pomodoro plus Chicken and a couple of Pennes with their Andrea Sauce, and got the extra sauce option for an additional charge of $2.45 a piece for the latter two meals. Glad we did because there wasn't much sauce on the Pomodoro. However, the Andrea sauce was the perfect amount and really delicious! Ingredients for the Andrea Sauce were Prosciutto, Sweet Peas, Mushroom, Cream, and Sprinkled Truffle Oil... It was full of flavor!!! Each of our entrees ran about $17 so it's not real cheap like it used to be when we first moved to the area in 2018, but it is a good, solid dinner and the portion size is larger than it was pre-pandemic. read more

I ordered a build your own pasta with fettuccine and the bottega sauce. I also ordered the tiramisu. The cashier didn't really know how to use the giftcard which was not a big deal because that happens a lot at other businesses. It took around 11 minutes for the pasta to come out so definitely a fast casual place. Not a lot of seating either so expect to do takeout or don't come with a group. The pasta was bland. I thought the sauce was nothing special- it tasted like alfredo sauce. The tiramisu was disappointing as well. The bottom half was drenched. I can only speak for the food itself. I just ordered it from postmates and it was....underwhelming. The bruschetta which I ate before I took a picture of it was okay. The bread was barely toasted and couldn't taste any garlic with only a light drizzle of olive oil. But it was still better than the lasagna pictured below. I paid 12$ for something that is as big as the bread of my 3$ bruschetta. My main issue is with the portion size which is why I am doing 4/5 stars, in a more perfect world I would put a 3.5 but I will round up. The lasagna itself was cooked well, very meaty with a good proportion of marinara sauce. It was lacking on the cheese. Overall, while it wasn't bad, I was underwhelmed for its price. The sfogliatella was nicely toasted and flakey and flavorful. There was good texture from the vegetables and it was very easy to cut into without breaking into pieces. The chocolate cake was rich, not too dense, and the frosting added a nice touch of sweetness to the cake. This place sells goods as a market, but there are a few tables where you can dine in and eat your food. Each day of the week they have specialty items, so I will be back on the day I can get my bechamel lasagna. read more

This place is disappointing about 80% of the time. I can't really see a reason to ever go back there again. I have had some really good dishes there, but they are horribly inconsistent, and many times it just feels like a waste of money. I haven't been there a ton, but enough times over the years to know it has potential to be good but typically it is bland. They really struggle to be consistent with their creamy sauces like carbonara and alfredo. A few times it has been really good...but those were the exception. To be fair, most of the things on their menu I have never had, and sadly, probably never will. It is possible that they have some really good items... My honest feeling is that the employees take no pride in the quality of their food. They don't care if it is good or not. The pasta was al dente, and there wasn't too much sauce. The prosciutto was a good combination with flavorful mushroom, peas, and cream. Another time I went for another non-tomato sauce with the carbonara and it was decent. The sauce wasn't overloaded with cream (it shouldn't have cream anyway, as many purists have asserted) but it had a solid amount of cheese. There's some seating but if it gets crowded, you might have to wait. Interestingly, there are picnic tables inside. We've been coming here for years and really enjoy the simple basic sauces that are uncomplicated and never over salted or over seasoned. The sauces are made with just a few ingredients, they never have meatballs (so don't ask), and they go over your choice of pasta. We've also gotten the lasagna and salad before and they are good too but the pastas on the main menu are definitely what keeps us coming back. You can't beat $4.99 pasta Wednesdays and Sundays either. Some of our favorites are the Fettucine Andrea, Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne Fedora, Cacio e Pepe, Michelangelo. The changing focaccia menu and other savory baked goodies on the side can never go wrong either. Also the roast beef sandwich is excellent. Lots of veggies, classic deli sandwich, it just always tastes good and it's made the same every time. I always leave here feeling good about what I ate, never too heavy like full of salt and oil. The guys that work here are really chill. I like the cute, no frills self seating dining area with a really friendly atmosphere. One criticism is that there's no bathroom here.
