Walked in to check out this spot after ten. Clean enough and had that very pizzeria ambiance. We were acknowledged fast and after a quick warm up the pizza tasted like a freshly baked right out of the oven pie with cheesy gooey love and great pepperonis. What a disappointment. This "food" borders on offensive. I ordered a veal cutlet parm sub that was trash. Why would anyone slice up the cutlet into little pieces. You get these small bites of veal then a mouthful of mushy tasteless sauce. The " North Ender" ( the real North End should file a cease & desist ) was terrible. Why on earth would you add diced sour pickles to an Italian sub ?? That's all you could taste! Next time we come home to Boston we will skip this place and I highly suggest you do to. read more

The pizza here is unpretentious. It's not trying to be anything. It's just its own thing and it works! I wouldn't know how to describe the crust. It kind of tastes like bread flour was used but it's well-fermented, thin and easy to digest. The toppings may seem heavy-handed but they're really well thought out and delicious. Pastas, Appetizers, Pizzas, Wraps, Subs, Salads, Seafood, & more! If you can't find something on the menu, you clearly aren't hungry! Heads up now: The portions are HUGE. You will easily get 1-2 more meals out of anything you order. For example, their pasta is large enough to feed two with leftovers for both the next day. The prices are fair for the huge portions. And it's not just large portions. The quality of the food is top notch. A few personal favorites are the Lasagna, Meatball Sub, Chicken Piccata over Linguini. Their pizza is also very tasty and very, very large. Delivery orders are always packed very securely. Every order I've gotten has always been delivered piping hot with a smile. No issues, order is always correct. If you can't find a favorite or two on their giant menu, you're not hungry! Keep up the amazing work! Ordered Delivery! So I cannot say too much about the place except that they were very courteous on the phone and was very easy to work with. Simple, two plain pizzas and an order of chicken Picante. I originally stopped by to pick up a to-go menu, and was happy to see some coupons in the menu. I ordered takeout over the phone and the guy was nice! The food was ready for pick-up in 10 mins. I ordered a chicken Alfredo linguine and chicken piccata. One of the coupons earned us a free garden salad. The servings were very filling and was too much for me and two friends to finish. The food was delicious and we got tons of extra bread so I can't complain. It felt a little pricey at first, but was worth it once I saw the portion sizes. Highly recommend for a night in. read more

First things first! This place has the BEST Marinara sauce ever! Everything is delicious!! I'm a big fan of their chicken parm !! Also , they have an amazing grilled chicken salad. I just got my order from there, I haven't been ordering long from this place just about a year. I got a bottle of soda and I got the steak tip pepper plate, which is always excellent. And I got two slices of tiramisu. I'd like to say that the delivery dude must've been in a car accident that totaled his car the way the Tara Massu looks but I'm assuming he ate them because there's not enough in there to even make a whole complete piece out of what's left of the two pieces of tiramisu he left for me, so disgusting. I really wish there were a 3.5 star option because I think Alfredo's perfectly fits the bill of a mediocre pizza joint. About five of us ordered two large pizzas for delivery on Saturday and we found that the food was extremely average to underwhelming. We got one with half pepperoni and half sausage ($12.76), and the other margarita ($16.50). The pepperoni/sausage pizza definitely went quicker than the margarita. It didn't blow me away, but it was solid for some greasy pizza. Another reviewer commented that the pizza is flimsy or floppy (or something to that extent) and I would certainly agree. Alfredo's may have the floppiest pizza out there... it was very difficult to eat. Floppiness notwithstanding, the taste was run of the mill and worth it. The margarita, on the other hand, was garbage. Nobody liked it -- not even the person who requested that we order it. Bland and boring, the pizza didn't even have any sauce on it! That was a first for the group, and we really did not enjoy it. Seriously, do NOT order the margarita. Great subs here! Whenever I'm craving an Italian sub, this is the place I go to. The ingredients are always fresh, and for $8.50 for a relatively large sub with so many usually-expensive deli meats, you can't go wrong. The service is also pretty quick. I can't give 5 stars because it's not outstanding. On the other hand, I wouldn't know where to go for a good, regular Italian sub if this place wasn't here... Note: Try not to come around 3 in Fridays, as this is usually when the middle schoolers from a little ways away decides to come in, so it gets pretty loud and crowded. I always struggle with trying to find good pizza. Last night I ordered a large cheese from Alfredos and I was not disappointed! My food came sooner than quoted by a friendly delivery man. Got a steak tip plate, and wings. Most places serve their bone-in wings either naked or lightly dredged... these were fairly thickly battered. If you like them battered, that's fine, but say it on your menu. Most places serve their steak tips plain, often after being in some sort of marinade. These were so sweet it was like candied meat. That's fine, but say it on the menu. Being on a low carb diet makes these two items my go-to at pizza delivery type places. I've ordered them from probably 20 places in the area recently, because I'm always looking around for the best. Considering I could eat neither the steak tips nor the wings, I paid $30 with tax, delivery fee and tip for a small garden salad. Garden salad is fine... Kens dressing is a good choice... but it's not $30 fine. 3 stars because the steak tip I ate was cooked nicely, not cooked to death like most places. Same thing with the wing I ate. (yeah, it's off diet, but I was a chef, and I'm always evaluating whether i like it or not.) Once again, this food was absolutely better than average in regards to how well it was cooked... but considering that it's not prepared the way most places prepare it, SAY THAT ON THE MENU. Even if you don't feel like taking on the considerable work of writing out descriptions for all of your menu items, calling them "BBQ Steak Tips" and "Crispy Wings" are clues enough to get me to avoid them and order something else. I'd have definitely gone with a chicken kebab plate or something like that. Now I'm worried to order anything else. Keep in mind, titles/menu descriptions aren't just there to drive sales, they're there to set your customer's expectations. read more

It's a gorgeous afternoon for the first day of December in Cambridge and I, in a post-Thanksgiving food coma, decided that I wanted more turkey. I took a 5 minute stroll down Cambridge St. on this sunny day and found Alfredos Italian Kitchen. It looks like a basic pizza / sub shop and has some tables and benches for dine-in. The take-out order that I'd called in 5 minutes previous was all ready to go. They took my credit card and I was on my way. Ordered a basic turkey sub - a good test of any pizza / sub place. This one was made on a huge sub roll with fresh ingredients and they got the order perfectly correct. Very glad to have found a new place in Cambridge for lunch. read more
