I was recently staying in town for 3+ months to receive medical care at Mass Gen. Unfortunately, that meant being in a hotel without a kitchen all that time. I was looking for a good Italian spot with reasonable prices, tasty food, a large selection, and big portions. I found it: Alfredo's Italian Kitchen. The menu is 4+ pages deep. Pastas, Appetizers, Pizzas, Wraps, Subs, Salads, Seafood, & more! If you can't find something on the menu, you clearly aren't hungry! Heads up now: The portions are HUGE. You will easily get 1-2 more meals out of anything you order. For example, their pasta is large enough to feed two with leftovers for both the next day. The prices are fair for the huge portions. And it's not just large portions. The quality of the food is top notch. A few personal favorites are the Lasagna, Meatball Sub, Chicken Piccata over Linguini. Their pizza is also very tasty and very, very large. Delivery orders are always packed very securely. Every order I've gotten has always been delivered piping hot with a smile. No issues, order is always correct. If you can't find a favorite or two on their giant menu, you're not hungry! Keep up the amazing work! Whenever I'm in Boston I always make sure that one of my meals is Alfredo's!

I come to this location of Alfredo's on Cambridge St once a while to get their sandwiches for lunch. Their price is reasonable and the quality of the food is better than the large chain stores. Their sandwiches are huge and I usually have to keep half of it for dinner.

Large margarita pizza. $16.50. Complete garbage.

You judge a pizza by its crust and Alfredo's has a great crust. It's my go-to pizza place. Big fan of the chicken bacon ranch pie.

Just as good as the southie counterpart. Tasted like my usual! Nice to have an outlet here in Cambridge when I need good takeout.

We shared the arancini and some bread to lap up that sauce - those were absolutely delicious! My husband and I then shared a pizza, which I shamefully forgot to photograph, and the carbonara (which was fun to mix in my own egg). Overall, it was a good and service was quick. I enjoyed the vibes and could see this being a great happy hour spot for locals.

The old space felt warm, charming, and welcoming, and the food was consistently great. Since the move, we've tried giving the new location a fair chance and have visited three times. Unfortunately, the overall experience just hasn't been the same. The atmosphere feels much more corporate and lacks the warmth and character that made the original location special. Several menu items have changed, prices have increased significantly, and the food hasn't been as memorable as it once was. The biggest disappointment has been the service. During our most recent visit on a Friday night while my sister was in town, the service was noticeably poor. It felt like our server was simply going through the motions and didn't want to be there. Everyone has off days, but when you're paying premium prices for a night out, you expect at least a friendly and attentive experience. We typically enjoy supporting restaurants and are happy to tip generously when the service reflects the experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of expectations. After several attempts to give the new location a chance, we've decided this will likely be our last visit. It's disappointing because we genuinely loved Posto for many years and had hoped the new location would capture some of what made the original so special.

Picked the Salsiccia pizza to split between us (and a poached pear and cannoli for dessert). First, the atmosphere is great! Inviting, with great views of Ball Square and the amazing pizza oven. The pizza arrived at the perfect temperature and quickly (we learned later that a pizza spends less than couple minutes in the oven due to how blisteringly hot it gets). Great flavor and composition to the pizza -- the sausage was extremely flavorful and there was just enough cheese. The dough is top notch, with just the right amount of chew! The poached pear and cannoli were excellent. Not too sweet with sufficient complexity. Very, very nice. My fiancé chatted with the staff and learned more about the location and the pizza oven (I mean, it's just too cool to not ask to see more closely). Great service, fantastic food. Will certainly return and I now feel remiss that we hadn't yet been.

The spicy sausage pizza was excellent, the dough is homemade and tastes incredibly fresh. The toppings are fresh as well, which really comes through in the flavor. It's a bit pricey, but that's fairly typical for the Boston area. Overall, we'd definitely recommend it. I believe they offer delivery, too.

Everything was flavorless. The salad reminded me of a salad you get from a pizza place and forgot in the fridge for 3 days. The drink was all mixer and overly sweet. The "chicken parm" was worse than you got for your middle school lunch. It tasted woody, certainly reheated in the microwaved and topped with some Kraft parmesan cheese. Never once did anyone ask how any of the food was despite them clearing almost full plates of food off the table . When the front end manager wasn't talking on the phone he just kept saying "enjoy" as if he felt our pain trying to force some of this food down. The kicker was the fine dining prices they attached to their barely edible food. A complete travesty from start to finish. I should have known why it was so easy to get an online reservation here. The five star reviews must be bots!
