Of course beer is the perfect accompaniment to pizza, so we strolled over to Bottlecraft after ordering our wood fire baked pizza from Terracella Pizzaria in the new SLO Public Market. I was confused at first, looking at flavors like Chocolate Coconut Candy, Banana Nut Muffin, Tart Raspberry, and Grapefruit Hibiscus Heather. Had I taken a wrong turn and wound up at the ice cream place? But no, it turns out that the first two are beers, and the second two are Kombucha with a light alcohol content (under 10%). My buddy selected a Calidad beer with a Mexican flair, and I went for a split of La Mara Prosecco, Italian wine with Italian Pizza! Great bargain for the La Marca, it cost less than at World Market! We retired to the outdoor patio tables at the side of the building, where you can enjoy your drinks al fresco! It was the perfect sunny day to enjoy the drinks outside, but they do have an indoor bars with TVs, or you can relax at the indoor dining area.

Local Take: Easy going eclectic Pub in SLO Public Market. If you are in the mood for a nice drink to go with your Bao, Curry, Speck Sandwich, Vegan Eats or even with Buffalo Ice Cream, Bottlecraft has you covered. They seem to have it all & even have two TVs in the back as well. They occupy the central area in this food court, and adding a glass of Cider to compliment my Mushroom Bao Buns & Thai Curry was a great idea. They have a full range of drinks on tap, as well as, bottled beer & wine. As far as, on tap, they had: Wine, Seltzer, Cider, Kombucha, & various beers, such as Stout, Sour, Citrus, Lager, Pilsner, & more. Very pleasant relaxed atmosphere, pleasant service, and nothing like a noisy sports bar. This is upscale drinking & eating for sure. Likely the nicest Food Court Bar I have seen almost anywhere. You can easily start or end your food court experience here...as well as, even in the middle. Who needs H2O?

Firestone Cali Squeeze Blood Red

Nice guy at the counter that answered all of our questions. Great variety of beer, wine and some seltzer. Open airy seating. Cali Squeeze Blood Red from Firestone was a winner.

Counter service was excellent and friendly. Beer selection second to none in the immediate area and kept cold in refrigerated containers.

While the ambiance isn't incredible (SLO Public Market) the service and quality was awesome.

I'm in San Luis Obispo for work, and since it was my wife's birthday, she wanted to try Finney's…read moreCrafthouse. Birthday girl gets to pick, so off we went. The place was absolutely packed! I don't know if it was because of the soccer game or if it's always this busy, but that's usually a good sign. Even with the crowd, our party of six was seated almost immediately. The menu was excellent--not one of those places with ten pages of random items. It was well thought out and made it easy to choose. My wife and I both ordered the jalapeño burger (I can't remember the official name) with a side of tater tots. My son ordered the tuna, my daughter had the chicken tenders, and my nephew and niece both went with the barbecue burger. The food came out surprisingly fast, and then it was time to eat. Wow. This was easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. My wife would not stop talking about hers. Her exact words were, "This burger tastes beefy." I'm still not exactly sure what that means, but judging by how fast she finished it, I'd say she absolutely loved it. To top it all off, our amazing waitress surprised my wife with a complimentary cookie sundae for her birthday. I really wish I had caught her name. She had curly hair and glasses, and she was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I was not impressed with their margarita flight but who cares, it was about the food. If you're looking for an incredible burger, great service, and a fun atmosphere in San Luis Obispo, Finney's Crafthouse is definitely worth the visit. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town.

Traveled to SLO for work and checked out this place because the drinks looked delicious. When I…read moreapproached the bar, the bartender did not know what to do since he didn't have any menus. He could've asked people seated at the bar (with their menus closed) if he could take it to give it to us. Nonetheless, I waited and ordered a watermelon smash (something like that). Before even getting the drink, I got the check and closed out since I was waiting for a table. After waiting a couple of minutes, I finally got a table so I decided to close out while my drink was still getting prepared. When it came out, I took it to my table but it was not good. I told the waitress that it wasn't good and ordered a different drink and she delivered it but didn't tell me that I was going to get charged for it (and that was after I had asked if I was getting charged for it). After I told the waitress, she said she had to talk to her manager and luckily they took it off the bill. In terms of the food, it was okay. The lights were really dim so I felt as if I was eating in the dark.
