    Blue Emperor was fantastic!
    Karina G.

Super fun and memorable visit to Krobar. Despite being a Monday in November, this place was a busy. I sat at the bar while waiting for a friend to get off work and join me. They have such a unique lineup of cocktails that I really struggle to pick. The bartender recommended the Blue Emperor because of the 'mouth numbing buzz button'. Get this, the drink comes with a flower bud that it's mildly poisonous which if eaten causes a 10 minutes or so long mouth numbing! And, as the bartender explained, it changes the flavors of the cocktail! Loved it, what a fun drinking experience! Hope to head back go SLO soon to see what other cool cocktail concoctions these folks invent!

Loved Krobar so so much. The bartenders were very nice and make THE BEST espresso martinis. Its a perfect environment for a date night and family dinners.

Great place. Open atmosphere. We did a flight tasting of all of their distilled spirits and shared amongst the 4 of us. Everything was smooth and easy to drink. There is not a traditional server. Just bartenders that you go to the bar and order. For food we ordered burger, sandwich, and a side of fries. Decent food. Satisfies your hunger. Will return.

Definitely must try these cocktails. Polar Bear , Jambari ,the queen of hearts and the Tenme En Mente

Couldn't have my Bachelor Party in SLO without some whiskey, so I was overjoyed when my best man found KROBAR for whiskey tasting to incorporate into our schedule. There were six of us, so I'm glad we could occupy the main table indoors. It was pretty neat because there were also those swing-ring games that all of us got into (I was probably the best at it though...haha!). For the tasting, it was cool to see some other alcohols on the list aside from whiskey like vodka and gin, and actually the butterfly pea flower and orange gins were very tasty! I opted for the all-whiskey tasting, and some were quite spicy and a bit too strong, but the best was the American Single Malt Whiskey - went down the smoothest for me compared to some of the other ones. Purchasing bottles was a bit pricey, so we didn't leave with any this time (except for some orange gin), but I would be down to go again when I have a bit more moneys to spend! The tasting experience was fantastic, service was great, and I had a wonderful time with my groomsmen!

A cool cocktail bar with lots of games and speciality cocktails. I wanted to try their milk punch but they didn't have it when I went. We got the Bluebird vacation and Under the mistletoe. Both drinks were great! Fruity drinks with egg white in it, my favorite. They also had lots of beers to choose from but if you prefer beer over cocktails, Central coast brewing is also right next door. The bartenders were all very friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Visited KROBAR for the first time last week, before the crazy storms came, and I loved the atmosphere. They have a cute outdoors and although indoors is small, it's quaint. Went on a Tuesday afternoon right after new years so I'm sure most people were back at work. I was lucky to be on vacation visiting SLO! What attracted me to KROBAR was the review about the orange gin. And it was to point! That was my favorite tasting we did. Did a flight; one vodka, couple gins and whiskey. Now I've been bourbon tasting in Kentucky so I gotta admit, nothing wins me over than Kentucky bourbon. But I did love the orange gin. The whiskeys were tasty too. I'd visit again if I'm back in SLO and go for a cocktail! Oh my other favorite was the game they had at each table. The toss and try to make a hook game. Love it!!

Such a cool space, great cocktail and awesome staff. Wandered in for a night cap after a travel day to SLO and I'm glad I did. It's all decorated for the holidays, tons of seating inside and out, games to play like giant connect four etc.

The drinks here are SO good! A little on the pricey side, so we don't come here as much as we'd like, but haven't had a drink we didn't like yet!

Best old fashioned I have ever had. Came down form the bay for the weekend enjoyed this place.

The bartender made me a drink that was on the upcoming menu with Mezcal!

Great environment, location and staff. We had so much fun here watching football on Sunday we came back following day. My new local spot to have food and premium drinks at an affordable price. Ask for a stamp card, try all the drinks and get a free shirt!

I don't normally write negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Our food took about an hour to arrive, and when it finally did, it was so cold that we had to send it back, which is something we almost never do. After that, we waited another 45 minutes for the replacement meals. Because we had tickets to a show, we eventually had to ask whether our food was even coming. Our server responded that the food was "probably up," and if not, she would cancel it for us. She returned less than a minute later with our meals, which suggested they had been sitting for some time. Unfortunately, the second round of food was also cold, though at least edible (some of it). It was clear that the kitchen was behind, and we understand that busy nights happen. However, what was most frustrating was the lack of urgency or communication from the staff. No one seemed concerned that our food was sitting, and there was zero effort to update us on the delays. To top it off, nothing was offered to make up for the experience. We even had to specifically request that an upcharge be removed from the bill. I hope management takes a closer look at the kitchen operations and communication between staff and guests. As it stands I would never order food again, but would have a cocktail or two.

Right next door to central coast brewing (which I frequent a lot but they only offer beer and wine). Cute little bar, with a really nice bartender Brent. Brand new menu with some very interesting cocktails. Can also make most cocktails not on the menu. They said eventually they will be serving small bites but for now if you want food you can order bar food from central coast brewery and they will deliver the food next door to this place. Open wed-sun. They close at 8, not sure when they open. Came on Friday around 5pm and we had the place to ourselves. It was so nice! Best part? The drinks are $10 each!!!!!!!

On a recent weekend, they had six distillation products to taste: 1) Barrel #1 Bourbon, 2) Barrel #17 CornWhiskey, 3) Apple Cinnamon Bourbon, 4) "fruit infused corn whiskey, 5) cherry spiced rum, 6)Maple pecan Bourbon whiskey. A $20 tasting got you a tiny pour of each in a whiskey cairn glass. Most bottles were $80 for 750 ml. One was $100 ( I forget which). It's a little pricey, but he's a one-man operation with none of the big distillery economy of scale working for him. Right now, he's emphasizing the tastings and the distillery-logo gift items, such as an engraved whiskey cairn glass (those are cool!) and assorted t-shirts. I'm glad I found this small local spot. I hope he grows enough to be able to try barrel-aging his stuff for longer periods. His products are pretty young, but definitely interesting. I'd be really excited if he were to try working with malted barley, too. However,I do understand that this is a small operation. The guy looked a little more tired and less chatty about his product than he was a couple of years ago. He might consider taking on someone to help with the tasting room pourings and talking to the public. I think he could use a bigger space, already. Parking in the lot in front of the restaurant is available. In a pinch, you can also park across the street and walk over. Be careful, traffic on Los Osos Valley Road is pretty fast.

The only reason I discontinued my membership is because I wasn't getting through the spirits quickly enough as I tend to be more of a wine drinker. I am a current wine club member and really love their wines - they're super easy tasty and approachable. The price point also is great for the area.
