This place was great. We usually travel with our dogs and finding a brewery this size is rare. It makes it easy for us to find seating with our two dogs. There is lots of seating and activities you can do in different areas. They also have a wine side so there is something for everyone. If you have kids they have arcade games. We visited the Hub location on Monterey and found the food and service to be somewhat underwhelming. I stood at the bar for several minutes before being acknowledged by staff. To be fair, the venue appeared quite busy with participants from a dance event that evening, which may have contributed to the slower service. On a positive note, the atmosphere was excellent. The space is large, comfortable, and offers plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Burgers are very filling. Pretty tasty, although I really wish they'd add more of the extras. I got the burger with sour kraut on it and there was barely any. It's so inexpensive, load it up. The tots and garlic parm fries were delish. My friend had a beer and said it was great. My only other complaint was, it was very cold outside and they had the back door open. Man, this new location feels so vastly different from the OG Monterey St location, and unfortunately not in a great way. We came to CCB for years living in SLO, and try to make it a point to visit when we are in town. This was our first time visiting the new location at the Hub. I'll start on the positive stuff: - Way more parking than before - Huge outdoor space compared to the OG location. - Appeared to have more food options - There is an RC Rock Crawler course, which is pretty rad for those that are into it. - Bathrooms are clean (and within the same building now haha) - P-Nut Butter Breakdown is still as good as I remember. - The old bottles lining the bar brought back good memories of the OG location What I'm bummed about: - Feels like a man cave meets dive bar, but it's so bright it loses the vibe and almost makes it look junky. - Service is OK. Bartender seemed more interested in chatting with the regulars or friends than helping us get a few more beers. - Beer selection is basically the same it was 5 years ago, with only one new beer available. I was hoping for something new, or at least one of the less-often brewed beers like Moonbuggy. - Beer quality seems to have dropped, most beers I know well and drank a ton over the years we lived there seemed less flavorful and bright as I remember them being. What I was truly surprised by: - A "cooler" full of beer to go, that was not refrigerated. What brewery takes all that time to brew a beer they are proud of, only to store it warm for to-go sales? Yes, you could get refrigerated beers as well, but why bother leaving a bunch warm? Sad that those cans will not represent their vision and effort properly. While I understand things change, I was hopeful to have an experience like I had for many years at the OG Monterey Street location, and this just didn't bring it for me. Some beers are still decent, the space is huge, and the parking is plentiful, so there's still some positives here. Not sure we'll give them another go next time we are in town, but maybe the Higuera St location will be the one for us next time. read more

We hosted our Friday night pre-wedding June welcome drinks here and it was a huge hit! The beer and drinks are stellar, George and Kellie set up a charcuterie board spread and an ice cream truck for our guests. They were accommodating with all our requests, great to work with, helped us set up a microphone and speaker for speeches and even made a sign to display welcoming guests to our event. They had great hospitality and were great hosts! They helped us come up with the idea to use drink tickets for our guests and our guests loved all the games at Central Coast. I had planned to come here based on the reviews and the beers they brew. But when I finally got an opportunity to come in I was sad and dejected from a terrible experience at SLO Ciders. My night instantly changes as I walked through Central Coast Brewing"s Doors. Immediately I was made to feel welcomed and even though it was close to closing I was encouraged to even grab some food and have a brew or two. The owners are incredible and instantly make me feel comfortable. This was my first time here but they made me feel like family and as if I always belonged. Thank you George and Kelly! We came here for my Birthday and this has got to be a top 5 brewery in the damn STATE ! Page was our Beer-tender and dude knew everything about every beer. He recommended the flight which he brought over and explained the science behind the flavor and why he chose it for us. He then recommended food which was killer as well ! My favorite beers were their Juice Box Hero, Terrifico, Lucky Day IPA, and my favorite 24 STRONG ! I even took home a case of the 24 it was so damn GOOD ! Found this brewery on side-track trip. Totally worth a visit...and repeat visits. At the time there was nobody there. We sat at the mini bar for tastings and fell in love with beer all over again. The guys were easy to talk to and eager to share their beer, history, and plans for the future. We walked out half-eyed, carrying a growler of their superb Barley Wine and a bottle of Vespertine. The Pumkpin Ale changed my life. No joke. Come and try it while you still can!!! The taproom is rather small, but it wasn't too busy when we were there, so it was pleasant. They have a small patio with a beautiful view that was totally full, for obvious reasons. I *really* liked their digital beer board. Never seen that anywhere before! They also have an obscenely large collection of craft beer bottles and coasters. Totally impressive. I can't wait to come back some day! read more

Came to the Central Coast on a weekend trip with the boyfriend and stayed at Quality inn suites not too far from this. So we simply walked over. The first stop of our Central Coast tour! I wanted to check out because of the hype and reviews this place had. And now I've been I can see it. I had some damn good beer, I had the pale ale and the Bf had the IPA. Vibe is super chill. Not hipster which was a nice change. You can sit outside but there's not much of a view other than the parking lot and the street. But the beer itself was so good, I was really debating on taking a six pack of the Pale Ale home. But if I weren't trying to cut out on Beer during the week I totally would've - fat lady problems.
