    Cheese board - IG @bougiefoodieboi
    Kyle W.

Excellent, PNW vibes wine bar in the Madrona neighborhood. Far away and fairly inaccessible from the city, this evokes a charm of a nice, relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. We made reservations at 3pm but it is not really needed as we were mostly the only ones there during our stay. We took advantage of the happy hour where we got the charcuterie and cheese boards ($16 each) and some wines such as the Ovum Big Salt Orange and Can Sumoi Xarello white and mulled wine cocktail. The charcuterie board and cheese boards were okay priced, a bit small but the quality is very high. You don't really get most of these meats and cheeses in a typical charcuterie arrangement so it is more a culinary journey paired with excellent wines. The orange wine had a bit of natural saltiness and the white wine smelled like Welch's grape juice but has a strong finish. The wines we got definitely stood out and well worth the price tag (during happy hour, the wine glasses are $2 off!). Service is decent - you just need to flag down a server to full requests quickly. I would recommend this place as an above average wine bar with a nice food and wine selection.

Aftermath of oysters, olives and herbed almonds

Went back this December for another oyster and bubbles pop up event after getting an email that they were hosting another event like the one we went to in the fall of 2024. We didn't experience any of the hiccups we experienced last year and very much enjoyed the wine and food and ambience. They offered tastes of five different sparkling from France, Spain, Italy and Germany. The flavors and degree of bubbles varied and were all very enjoyable in different ways. The woman at the tasting station was great--she provided short but informative tales of each of the wines (a little about the grapes, the vineyard, fun facts about the wineries, etc). We bought three different bottles of some of the wines we tasted which were reasonably priced ($28-$40 per bottle). My husband loved the oysters and ordered an additional 6 of the wildcats. I had the mushroom toast which had great meaty and earthy flavor. I also tried the spruce tip ice cream which was pine-y and unique and very creative (covered in quinoa crispies!). Service was friendly and speedy. My husband and I love Bottlehouse and recommend for anyone looking for unique wines and creative comfort foods in a cozy environment

Lovely little spot to spend an afternoon! Will definitely come back again

Was walking by and noticed their sign, so I decided to stop by. The host was lovely and had great recommendations on wine and the bread board with sea salt, butter, and honey was a perfect afternoon snack!

Great quality wine and speciality cocktails. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the wine and shared their wisdom with us while we tried some wine flights. Hard to get into with long wait times and limited seatings (no AC) but the outdoor seating is very pretty and comfortable. The small shareable items are good for even a large group. Tried the burrata with extra bread, mac and cheese and Aperol Spritz!

This was my second time going to Bottlehouse, and I am leaving with mixed feelings. My first visit was incredible and my second was disappointing. Pros: Amazing wine selection. My best friend is a sommelier on the east coast and I can find 80% of his wine recommendations at Bottlehouse. Their Rezabal Txakoli and Guancia Bianca were delightful and I would have tried their orange wine if I had another pour in me. Cons: The happy hour food seems tempting but you can't get by on just one selection. The biggest reason being they give you 3 crackers to eat the entire cheese board with or omit them on the charcuterie. You end up buying all of the appetizers to make one board. Additionally, you have to be very agressive to get any type of service attention. We sat for over 15 minutes until our order was taken, and 30 until we got our first drink. All in all, I would love to try it again with a spot on the patio and a nice waiter with reasonable expectations for the carbs.

    5% surcharge on everything
    Peyman O.

There's a 5% surcharge on everything in the menu, but you wouldn't know it unless you read the fine print at the bottom of the menu. This is dishonest because they could have just increased the price on every item by 5% but this is more subtle and easily missed. Boo.

One of the cutest outdoor patio areas! Staff was so helpful with walking us through wine options - we loved the Gruner, Gamay, and Synergy with the $2 off happy hour prices. The Mac and cheese was so rich and creamy (though could've had a larger portion) with the truffle oil not being overpowering at all.

    Pickled eggs. Worth ordering twice.

Went on business. Nestled in the neighborhood, this house-based venue has lots of ambience for indoor and outdoor seating. Order the charcuterie and the cheeseboard. Tried my first red from Lebanon and loved it. They have delicious dessert truffles and there's no reason not to try each of the flavors. Their pickled eggs turned out to be a wonderful surprise. See photo below. Easy place to take a guest and impress. Service was good. Free street parking but it's sometimes difficult to find in the evenings.

Delicious and I'm not a fan of dark chocolate

Sooo let's just say this, they got everything right! Everything from the seating, happy hour, wine, drinks, platters, entertainment and dog friendly, just amazing! Desserts MIGHT need more help, but I was blown away tonight! We got there 3 mins until HH (happy Hour) was over and I got some deviled eggs, the cheese platter, and two glasses of wine! Yes and yessss! Eggs - killed it! The wine I got was an orange wine, it's a whole experience I'll say nonetheless. The waitress told me alll about it - just get it and try it! Its ON the menu!!! The cheese platter was great, it was 3 cheeses and their homemade crackers - can we get some of those to take home, wow!!! I sat down waiting for my friend and met some neighbors, which was nice! We talked about being a food blogger, but that lead to finding out more about the neighborhood! We bonded over their wines and mine - it was great! The evening was ideal for outdoor seating in the "greenhouse" and you guessed it, we got to experience it! Epic. We then drank one more glass when my friend came, this was a white wine the waitress said would pair great after the orange, ummm it did!! I downed that, no problem!! Now to the main coarse....we ordered the Mac and cheese you guys....) veggies with potatoes - STOP!!! And then we got the clams and oysters, which I'm not a fan off, but slurped these babies down - Nooo problem! Just perfectly cooked and we even ordered some bread - it was burnt but when you dipped it, wow!! Then it was rose or red time, I choose a red Tempranillo blend off the Spanish section of wines - another hit!!! Then got some wine from their wine store when you walk in (its massive) and they also (plug) have plants!!!! YOU guys the price points, wow! So we got a few plants!!! See, I know I do not need more plants but the price point was screaming at me "BUY me now", so I couldn't leave the plant there! 6 bottles later and one plant - was there a wine club, forgot to ask, but I would of signed up!!! Cant take me anywhere with asking about a wine club! We overall had a great time, then it was time for coffee, I'm Spanish, duh!!! Its turn up time! We ordered this delicious item but it sold out, so we got the chocolate and shortcake things - not impressed at all! The chocolate was Ok, but it's my birthday I wanted more! Its OK! This place, our server, the food, the house and just overall vibe was fire! Wait for the tik tok it's going to be great!!!! Got some great content!!! No reservations but your fine just show up, eat some food, drink wine - probably Uber! I had a good old time! Enjoy.

5 oz Charcuterie ($32), Seasonal Aioli Board ($10)
    Wendi K.

Came here on a girl date! Cutest spot ever, and the boards have the most beautiful plating! The items are snacky type items and paninis. They have a wide variety of drink choices - ranging from bubbly, wine, ciders, beers, etc. We had: -5 oz meat & cheese charcuterie board ($34) -Seasonal aioli Board ($10) -Various Flights and Glasses of Bubbly It's pricey (it was $100+ for us two) but a lovely experience. Ample indoor and outdoor patio seating.

CAGETTE WINE BAR: WHERE CABERNET MEETS CABLE CROSSES…read more Listen, while other wine bars in Madison Valley are busy being pretentious about their French pronouns, Cagette has transformed itself into the Gold's Gym of grape juice. Their sommelier doesn't just wear a tastevin around his neck - he wears it WITH A WEIGHTLIFTING BELT. The wall of vintage Gold's Gym Venice Beach photos mixed with First Growth Bordeaux bottles is nothing short of INSPIRATIONAL. Arnold's famous posed double bicep shot is perfectly positioned between the Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Barolo section, creating what they call the "Pump & Pour" corner. Their wine flights are served on custom metal trays shaped like weight plates. The "Franco Columbu Collection" of Italian reds arrives on a mini bench press rack, and you have to complete three reps before they'll pour your Brunello. The dedication to the aesthetic is STAGGERING. You haven't lived until you've experienced their "Muscle Beach Merlot Mondays" where the sommelier spots you through a vertical tasting while shouting encouragement like "LIGHTWEIGHT BABY" and "AIN'T NOTHING BUT A PEANUT" between sips. Their wine descriptions include both tasting notes AND the optimal rep range for maximum gains. The "Lou Ferrigno Lounge" area features leather seats made from recycled weightlifting belts, and every wine glass has grip knurling. Their coasters are miniature versions of the original Gold's Gym logo, and they refuse to serve anything less than full-bodied wines because "light wines are for WIMPS." Their "Pumping Iron" wine club (which meets in what they call The Dungeon, a clear homage to the original Gold's basement) requires members to deadlift their wine allocation before taking it home. The sight of someone clean-and-jerking a case of Grand Cru Burgundy is both terrifying and beautiful. Five stars for creating a space where wine snobs and gym bros can finally coexist in perfect harmony. I've witnessed heated debates about both proper squat form AND proper wine storage temperature, often in the same conversation. P.S. Their "No Pain No Pour" policy seems strict, but you haven't lived until you've seen someone do burpees for a better pour of Barolo. P.P.S. The bathroom mirrors are positioned at optimal flexing angles, and the hand soap dispensers are shaped like dumbbells. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Note: This review was written while watching their sommelier demonstrate proper clean-and-jerk form using a methuselah of champagne as a training weight. Special Addendum: To the customer who complained about the mandatory flex pose before entering the reserve wine room - this is about CULTURE, Karen. Final Thought: Never has there been a more perfect fusion of fine wine and fitness culture. It's like if Joe Weider opened a wine bar and Franco Columbu was the beverage director. Remember: Every wine glass comes with its own "PR" (Personal Record) tracking card, and yes, they do measure your wine lifting form. No kipping allowed on the Bordeaux pulls. Warning: Side effects may include excessive use of phrases like "crushing it," "lightweight baby," and "yeah buddy" while discussing vintage vertical tastings. P.P.P.S. Their new "Swole Somm Certification" program requires both blind tasting skills AND a minimum bench press requirement. As it should.

They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. It was also pretty loud when we went, so we chose to finish our conversation elsewhere.
