Sanctuary Spa was such a pleasure to go to. I look forward to going to this spa again. It was quaint, very intimate, very quiet ambiance. It was relaxing and delightful. I got the Signature Facial with Meg and she was wonderful. Meg took the time to hydrate my face and made wonderful suggestions to my skin care routine. This was a late Mother's Day gift for me. I had to book almost a month in advance & just couldn't wait. I'm a new mom of a 6 month old boy and getting quality, relaxing, 'me' time is rare these days. My morning started with a massage from Heather. If I am being honest (to advise people for the future) she was rude, short, & unprofessional. Before I even unclothed I felt very uncomfortable and upset, complete opposite of how one wants to feel on a day like this! She mentioned she had a cold last week but she was sniffling & coughing nearly the entire massage. Not only is there a pandemic going on, but I also have to return home to a baby! I could not relax & was truly uncomfortable the whole time. I felt guilty & regretful and couldn't stop worrying about bringing a cold home to my baby. I had a facial with Georgia directly after. Apparently there was a miscommunication & Heather hadn't even put me in a robe or let Georgia know I was ready. Georgia thought I was late. Once Georgia grabbed me I tried my hardest to be positive but I honestly wanted to break down from my experience with Heather. I was flooded with emotions. Georgia is probably the sweetest & most wonderful esthetician I've ever worked with. I would rate her 10 alone if I could. She cheered me up right away and I felt so comfortable & relaxed with her. My gua sha facial was truly incredible & my face was glowing afterwards! Thank you Georgia for turning my experience around! I will definitely be back but would avoid working with Heather! read more

This place by far gives the best facials I have had in Fort Collins. Initially I tried them on a Living Social deal for a 50% off facial. I was so impressed that I've come back consistently for a little over a year now. My skin type warranted the pumpkin mask which smells amazing. From there it is really the choice of the esthetician and how my skin looks as to what treatments/applications I get. What really puts the facials over the top are the massages you get while the two masks are doing their magic. Today I got the best scalp massage I have ever had professionally along with a nice arm massage. My husband has come for massages but every time he comes he gets a different massage therapist, even if he specifically asks for the same person each time. Otherwise, the place is tranquil and I always feel has been well worth the financial indulgence. As with any facial, bring a hat or headband because your hair always looks terrible and greasy when you are done! read more

Their recent renovations added an inviting reception area and a comfortable waiting room, which have improved the experience exponentially (I didn't think it could get any better...I was wrong!). I was in Colorado visiting a friend and we stopped in for spa packages. We were able to get appointments for Valentines Day morning. I had the spa package that included a massage and a facial. The Sanctuary is a cozy and welcoming place full of friendly staff. Kingsya gave me my 90 minute massage and focused on the spots we discussed before hand. He specifically asked me about the pressure, which is great because I was able to get the right amount of pressure from the very beginning. Can I just say- the BEST scalp massage by far!!! I would come back for that service alone. Megan did my facial right after my massage in the same room. Bonus, no need to relocate. I was able to just stay warm and snug on the table with almost no waiting in between. She explained everything she was doing and it was so relaxing and refreshing. Definitely worth it. This was my very first time getting any kind of skincare treatment! I'm 27 years old and have just recently started exploring investing money in my face and skin, so I thought I'd first try it out with a Groupon for this place (3 diamond microdermabrasions). I had my first appointment today with Sonya. Yes, it is tucked away off of Oak Street but pretty easy to find once you've parked and gotten your bearings -- I still feel fairly new to Fort Collins so I used my phone GPS so had a good idea of where I was. It's down the "alleyway" right around from Jay's Bistro and the coffee shop. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a small place but I never felt cramped or claustrophobic (though the bathroom IS very tiny). The girl who greeted me at the desk was very friendly and had me fill out a couple of forms, and then Sonya, my esthetician, came and took me back to our room. Sonya was great about explaining everything to me and walking me through everything. I never felt confused and always knew what to expect. The bed was comfortable and warm, and I kept wondering why I've never gotten such treatments before! My entire hour with her included: steaming my face while she took off my eye makeup and used a cleanser to get the rest of my makeup off (wiping off with a refreshing warm towel), 3 rounds of the microdermabrasion, a $15 facial mask I chose to add-on, moisturizer, sun block, and an amazing massage. It was all SO relaxing. After everything was over, Sonya was also great about explaining the products she used on me and why. I didn't feel pressured AT ALL to buy anything, but I went ahead and bought the Sanitas sunblock (called "Solar Block"). She also gave me a sample of the glycolic cleanser she used on me. I've already scheduled my next appointment in 2 weeks, so to say the least... I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I had 3 facial treatments with Ashely so far and they are just getting better and better. She really knows what is best for my skin. I love the way she softly lets me know what she will do next. Ashley at Sanctuary Spa gave me the best facial I've ever had! I got the Microdermabrasion facial, which I highly recommend. It exfoliates deeply and leaves your skin feeling smooth and glowing. I have acne-prone, sensitive skin. After my facial I broke out a little bit, but after a week my skin was clearer than it's been in years. Ashley gave me so many tips about skin. She is very knowledgeable about it all, especially the holistic side of skin care. She recommended I start using a toner and showed me a Sanitas brand toner that Sanctuary carries. I bought it and started using it right away and I can't express how happy I am with it. My acne has disappeared, my skin-tone is much more even, and my skin is smooth and radiant. My coworker from out of state and I went to Sanctuary for facials. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The spa was clean and comfortable. The facial itself was the most relaxing spa treatment I've ever had. Summer L. Was my LE. I loved her calming personality and her skill level was amazing. Her touch just melted away any tension I had. She encouraged me to learn about the skincare products I use and to make healthy choices without trying to upsell me. Although the massage itself was great, this place was lacking in other areas. They didn't provide a "relaxation area" for before and after the massage, like many other places. I didn't get a soft bathrobe and some slippers. They did offer tea.. but there was no quiet place to sit down with my tea to flip through a magazine and unwind. Today was my first time visiting this spa--my husband bought me the package that included a 90 minute massage and hydration facial. The massage was absolutely wonderful, and I was pleasantly surprised by the facial. At first I was under the impression I would just be holding my head over a bowl of steaming water, but it was so much more than that. While my feet soaked, I got some cheese, crackers, and wine, and then I got to choose between some herbs to put in the water for my facial steam. Tucked away in a little alley in old town Fort Collins, this place is a hidden gem. I've had massages at other places in the past, but since trying this place for the first time with a coupon, I've been hooked. The massage therapist I see, Kingsya, is truly gifted at unraveling the knots in my muscles, and without stinky, greasy massage oils (they use grapeseed oil). The beds are comfortable and warm, and while the place is small, it feels cozy rather than claustrophobic (except the bathroom, but I can't fault them for getting stuck with a tiny bathroom). I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a massage. read more

Sanctuary Spa has one of the friendliest staff I've had the pleasure of being serviced by. I had a nano-needling facial recently and my skin has never felt so wonderful. I've struggled with my self esteem for years due to my skin, and I feel wonderful. I decided to go back and get a massage and the therapist I had was so wonderful. She worked on me for my migraines and back pain to to some trauma in the past. I feel so great, and I haven't had a migraine since. I would highly suggest going to Sanctuary for your spa visit. They treat you so nicely, plus they have great selection of snacks and tea to chow down on before or after your appointment. read more

I did a lot of online searching for a facial and I found this little place! There website was super easy to access and it had all the services along with prices laid out for me to look over. I decided to do the tea tree facial which was also recommded to me by the esthetician. The facial itself was extremely relaxing a bit of stinging from time to time but nothing overbearing. My esthetician was Sonya; she was very nice and explained everything she was doing and putting on my face. She gave the best massage and seemed super knowledgable of the products she used on me. My only complaint is I still have some black heads around my nose that I was hoping she would get out but otherwise I had a great experience. Was on vacation from out of state and found this gem on Yelp. Definitely lives up to the 5 star rating! I spoke to Kingsya on the phone and he fit me into his schedule. He also went out of his way to try and get me scheduled for a much needed pedicure with their referring spa which was so nice of him! The massage was amazing and I am very picky and get them often. I, too, went to Sanctuary after purchasing a Living Social deal. The facial itself was really nice and relaxing. My issue was that it was shorter than it should have been. After getting checked in, changing, and talking with the esthetician, 20 minutes of my time had already elapsed. I called afterwards and gave Sanctuary feedback, and the guy who I talked to (who was very polite) explained that I should have had 50 minutes of hands-on time, which sounds much more reasonable to me. The esthetician really should have been aware of this, and for this reason I would not go back. A shame since, once again, the facial felt great. read more

I have done a full session here with Ashley. She has been amazing! Did 2 microdermabrasion and one micro-needling. I came in with my concerns and she was able to tell me my options and what each service could do. We decided on the above and my skin came out amazing! I went this past winter and I can totally see my results displaying this summer. I have been wanting to revisit for some facials or massages but money hasn't been in support :) anyways, I hugely recommend Ashley for all your facial needs!
