Unfortunately their SNF drops off patients to actual hospitals and dodge calls about taking them back.

Never felt pain like this before in my life, and I've had back surgery for scoliosis. From start to finish I felt like I was being taken well care of. The staff here is amazing. They did all of the necessary testing on me to determine the nature of my emergency. Needless to say, I ate way too many shelled peanuts at once that caused this emergency. I left feeling a lot better, and prescriptions that would get me past the next couple of days of recovery. Nothing major. Just prescription strength Tylenol and meds for nausea and vomiting. They said I could have peanuts again in the future, just in moderation, but this experience has me swearing off peanuts entirely. Not worth the risk with the pain I was in. I have to eat things like soup and bananas for the next two days to let my stomach heal, but a small price to pay for my health and well-being. Great staff and very professional.

Beware of Dr. Badery. My nickname for him is "Dr. Death"…read more Do a Google search to learn more about him. My sister was admitted to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARM) on or about Nov. 1st, 2025. Her hemoglobin was extremely low and she needed two units of blood. I don't know what else they found, but she was there for about 2 weeks. Her primary physician was Dr. Badery. We are trying to get specific details of her treatment, but we have not yet obtained copies of her medical records. She was released after that first stay with an antibiotic IV bag. About a week later she was vomiting "black stuff" (most likely dried blood) and was again took an ambulance to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. She was again treated by Dr. Badery. This time they found an upper GI bleed which probably explains the low hemoglobin, but I don't know that for sure. Question - Did she develop that bleed in the week after being discharged, or did they discharge her with abdominal bleeding? I travelled out there to be with her on Dec. 8th. When I arrived she was unable to raise her hand to her mouth to feed herself, she could not sit up without help, nor could she stand without help. Shortly after I arrived a social worker stopped by to see her. I was told that "medically she is just fine", and that they were transferring her to a rehab center. The social worker asked her if she remembered her and my sister said that the social worker was her daughter, of course that was not true. She asked her if she knew what day of the week it was and my sister didn't know. Then she pulled out a piece of paper and asked my sister to sign it. My sister was not physically able to sign her name, and she was certainly not mentally able to direct her own care, but that is what this social worker asked her to do. I followed this social worker out into the hallway to talk to her, but she didn't want to talk to me. I asked questions, but she interrupted by talking over me. She wouldn't look at me and she kept glancing at her watch. Finally, she just walked away. I asked to talk to her doctor, and after 30-40 minutes someone came in, put her in a wheelchair, pushed her out the front door and into a van to transfer her to the rehab center. I was told that the doctor was too busy to talk to me. Once they put her in the van, I had no choice but to leave and follow that van to the rehab center. That was on Monday afternoon. On Wednesday afternoon the doctor at the rehab center said that they had not been able to stabilize her blood sugar the whole time that she had been there. They transferred her by ambulance to the emergency department at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. Obviously, she was not "medically just fine" when the discharged her. Thanks Dr. Death. She was in the emergency department overnight and they transferred her to ICU on Thursday. It is important for me to mention that nursing staff in the ICU was fantastic. In fact, most of the nurses throughout the entire hospital were just great. Not so much for the hospital itself. Not so much for her "doctor", and certainly not so much for that awful social worker. Her condition continued to decline while she was in the ICU. By Saturday she was too far gone to survive, and we moved her to in-hospital hospice. Again, the ICU nurses were fantastic. We lost her at 3:00pm on Sunday, December 14. I would like to add a few comments about the facilities at Western Arizona Medical Center: They seldom answer the main number when you call. They haven't had a patient advocate for over a year and a half. There was a strong sewage smell in public restroom on the main floor of the hospital the whole time that I was there. The hospital is "clean", but not as clean as I expect from a hospital. There is peeling and/or stained and discolored paint in many areas of this hospital.

I want to give a hugmongas praise and appreciation to the entire ICU and Emergency Room for taking…read moresuch excellent care above and beyond the call of duty to my wife Angela Vasquez in ICU room 14. I know they have some divine help but they did their jobs flawlessly and I personally commend each and every one of them for a job well done.

To preface, I was 21 weeks pregnant and went to the ER and they wheeled me up directly to the labor & delivery unit. The staff was all absolutely amazing and so kind. Stephanie was our nurse and she was so amazing. I definitely appreciated how kind she was especially since I was scared as to what was going on. Long story short, everything is fine with the baby and me, but I had kidney stones so drink your water, people! haha. I had no idea you're more prone to kidney stones when you're pregnant. Hard lesson learned. The staff was really nice and accommodating and I don't feel like I was waiting too long on anything. They definitely were a bit busy and the doctor that was supposed to examine me was delivering a baby, so I had to a wait a bit there, but I definitely felt like their care there was great. Hopefully I'm not back till I have to deliver the baby haha but really appreciative of the amazing staff at the ER and the Labor & Delivery unit.

No photos needed, there was a 5-day stay at the hospital on the 5th floor and the sixth floor, all…read morethe doctors and nurses and staff members we're all very kind friendly helpful concerned everything you would want in care. They went above and beyond to take care of while we were there at the hospital. Dr Gibbs explain everything to her fullest, the nurse Kay & Jessica went above and beyond in making sure that we were comfortable, Carl and Adriana and another filipina cna also went above and beyond not only did they care they made a smile they gave us conversation they made us feel comfortable, even the staff janitorial people that came in also went above and beyond. It didn't feel like you were at a hospital it felt like you were in a hotel the five star. Not only did they take care of the patient they took care of the parent. They have sandwiches for people who stay overnight all you have to do is ask if you're hungry they'll give you drinks and soda pillows and blankets all you have to do is ask they actually care about you if you don't ask you won't know what they'll help you with. Some people don't like hospital food but it's actually great that they make personalized food for people with food issues. Also if you pay in advance it's only $5 for someone who stays the night with the family member there or friend. Every meal is $5 if you pay an advance in the cafeteria you'll be able to order your food with the love one that you're with at the hospital at the same time. A lot of the doctors and nurses did not know that and CNA but they do now on level 5 and level 6. There was other doctors and nurses and CNAs they came to visit even though they did not know us and they went above and beyond and they were very kind and polite. It was a bittersweet sorrow that we ended up checking out we said goodbye to everybody gave everybody hugs and we now keep in touch with them they are very good and wonderful people and the next generation of nurses with the confession that they have at summerlin I'm proud to say that the amount of nurses that we met in CNAs are wonderful. They have the tools of being compassionate caring concerned all at the same time. Also treat people the way you want to be treated and some people will go above and beyond for you especially in healthcare. And if you experience someone that is not helpful you can always have a second opinion in the hospital. Just because you're in the hospital doesn't mean you have to be afraid to speak up just don't talk down there's a difference. I would recommend all families with gastro issues and with children to come to this hospital. This is the only hospital we ever go to and we have never been treated badly and over the years it's been excellent even more than I ever expected. It was wonderful when they first opened their doors and it's still wonderful now they do get overworked but just work with them and they'll work with you. And when they're doing a good job it doesn't hurt to say thank you for helping me you did a really good job because it actually gives them more motivation to do the best that they can always. Regardless if it's their job. But if they're not there's always the charge nurse which we did meet and she was wonderful too we even told her we love your staff you guys have a dynamic that I've never seen before. Thank you summerlin hospital staff and ER you guys did a wonderful job and hopefully we won't have to come back but if we do will come to summerlin! But don't take my word for it if you need a hospital to go to try them and review it yourself you won't be disappointed or you might I don't know .
