I checked insurance before checking in. After filling out brief information and providing my insurance card, I signed consent forms electronically. We were seen in about 30 minutes. Parking was easy right in front. The lobby is small. I saw a physician's assistant to Dr. Lopez for an after car accident injury. The PA was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to get blood work, X-rays, and pain medication on site, along with a prescription. The X-ray was mobile so I did not have to get out of the bed, which was really helpful. We were there for about 5 hours total. I have not received any billing yet, but they send you home with copies of all of your data. read more

Approximately a month ago, my son got bit by a dog and he visited this ER at around 9 pm. Vital signs were taken. Then he and I were told to go to a big room. We waited about 30 minutes in the room, where no patient privacy is being provided. You can hear everything the doctor is telling the other patients in the room. Dr. Lopez assessed my son for 5 minutes. Told him he didn't have a need for rabies shots. He discharged him. Discharge Nurse gave discharge instructions and a prescription for an antibiotic. A month later, we received a bill. ER total charges were $2075, and the copay is $400. Please be aware that they are overcharging patients for medical care at this facility. read more

I called and spoke to Mira who was condescending and rude saying we don't tell you what it costs because we are not an insurance company. Never Ever go there. I am deeply angry and extremely disappointed by the care I received from Dr. Donald Reisch at the Green Valley ER. I came in with severe abdominal pain radiating to my back, explained that it was constant and worse after eating, and was dismissed as if my symptoms were not serious, diagnosis was made on the spot without even properly checking or doing any exams even after I requested that my pancreas be checked as symptoms were pointing at pancreas or GI issues. My request for imaging and blood work was brushed off in a rude and careless manner, and I was told it was costochondritis despite the fact that the testing ordered did not make sense for what I was describing. I was sent for an X-ray, even though X-rays do not show cartilage and could not confirm that diagnosis, so it is very questionable why it was ordered in the first place if not simply to increase the bill. I was then discharged in less than an hour with nothing but ibuprofen and a huge bill. A week later, my family doctor ordered imaging that showed multiple tumors, including one near my kidneys and one on my pancreas. The kidney issue will require surgery after the pancreas is addressed, and the pancreatic tumor was later found to be cancer. I believe this could have been caught much sooner with appropriate care. This was a reckless, dismissive, and unacceptable ER visit, and I am sharing it as both a warning to others and a formal complaint. read more

Went here for extreme abdominal pain - the doctor assessed me and said it was my gall bladder - ran some tests to confirm, he told me my ct scan showed an irritated gallbladder and possibly a stone - but then an hour later the ultrasound apparently showed nothing wrong with me. They gave me morphine for the pain and sent me on my way. Well 2 days later I got my gall bladder taken out at st rose hospital because there was inflammation, and lots of sludge in my gall bladder via ULTRASOUND. These people don't care.. they take your money and do half ass assessments and send you on your way. Either that or their doctor and ultrasound tech need better experience in their job. read more

I've been going to this ER for over 2 years. I have been in chronic pain for 5 years under home health care, infectious disease dr, kidney specialist,, urology and have an appointment at UCLA in 2 months. Recently, everything has changed they treat me like I'm not in pain or my pain is mild when my home health tells me to go in and get checked out for fluids and pain management/relief. They question everything about medication and never talk to me like I'm a human who is in chronic pain. I've had phone calls with Amanda the manager at this establishment she's nice and understanding but the providers are not. Idk if they think I'm "drug seeking" since I've come here so often but after my visit today I will never ever be back. No fluids and .2 of dilaudid that lasts 2 hours.. also wrote a progress note with nothing but lies. please treat people like humans that are in pain. read more

The front desk was the worst part of the visit. The nurse there condescendingly made me answer a string of random questions as I was in blinding pain. She told me I didn't "look dehydrated" despite me telling her I hadn't been able to drink water in several days due to my stomach pain. The doctor later confirmed that my skin and lips looked extremely dehydrated and he believed I should have IV fluids. After I was brought back, they took my vitals, and proceeded to make me wait hours to talk to the doctor. I watched him sit on his computer the entire time I was there. Nobody else was in the waiting room or rooms nearby. It was entirely dead. Once I finally saw the doctor, he said he couldn't give me even a Tylenol without running several expensive tests and diagnostics, which would have taken hours and cost me thousands. I begged them for any type of relief, but they would not give me anything without doing an entire treatment plan. While I understand they'd like to avoid mistreating a condition, it is simply not doable for people to blindly agree to tests and bloodwork without prior knowledge of the financial burden it will create. In the end, I had to walk away from treatment despite barely being able to walk. They hit me with a $250 bill despite the fact that they only took my vitals. Everyone there seems miserable to be in their career field and annoyed with patients. It's pretty sad where our healthcare system has fallen. read more

Great experience here when my husband was experiencing kidney stone issues. He scheduled an appointment on line, was admitted promptly, and had blood work, CAT scan and other work done quickly and efficiently. He had a great provider who covered all the bases, and nurses were great. Everyone we encountered was very kind. Plus it was spotlessly clean. In and out in about an hour and a half. When I got there I was the only patient there. The check in nurse gave the impression she would rather be anywhere else but there. The person taking my insurance info took my card and handed me a tablet to sign. No hand sanitizer or gloves. I had an infectious disease and she was going from patient to patient with this device. The Dr came in an hour later and never washed his hands or used sanitizer. It took over 2 hours for them to say I had a cold. read more

Definitely don't go here. I went in for an allergy issue and asked for a kenalog shot (that usually costs me $50 from my primary care doctor but she was out of town) and ended up with a $6300 bill. They have zero justification for it and refuse to negotiate it. Will never return. read more

Thankful my son and I chose to visit this ER. My son fell from an E-bike. Concerned he may have a concussion we drove towards St. Rose ER on the night before Thanksgiving. Knowing it would be a zoo there, I decided to try GVR ER. From check in to release they totally took great care of my son. Did necessary testing and kept him comfortable. I took my boyfriend to be seen here for a bloody head injury he had at work. Although he was seen quickly and the nurses assisting were helpful, the doctor on duty, Dr. Watanabe, was NEGLIGENT, RUSHED, and UNINFORMATIVE. Dr. Watanabe was in the room for maybe 2 minutes. My boyfriend explained what happened -- he took a blow to the head from a bag of TOOLS that fell from rooftop height onto his head and he immediately felt dazed, had blurry vision, and his head felt cold and numb. The doctor did the fastest routine check for a stroke I've ever seen, barely waiting for my boyfriend to respond before hurrying up to "check" the next area. A quick tap/touch to his arms and legs. Literally a flash of light into his eyes and mouth. Dr. Watanabe didn't have the slightest amount of patience to slow down his 100mph talking after just stating my boyfriend may be disoriented/confused after the incident. SLOW DOWN THEN if you know your patient may not be in their right state of mind so they have a chance to process and respond! They were also not busy at that time (one other person in the waiting room) so it was disappointing to not get adequate time and attention for a bleeding head injury. Dr. ordered a CT scan and after the results came back, the staff was quick to get him discharged. No skull fracture luckily, but my boyfriend was confused because at no point in time did anyone look at the bleeding gash on his head until he asked if anyone was going to clean him up before leaving. The nurses were surprised too that the doctor didn't inspect the injured area. I guess it didn't dawn on him that metal and steel falling from several feet would break skin?? A nurse cleaned him up and he was given a few pages of generic care for head injuries. He wasn't verbally explained the diagnoses/results or given instructions for how to care for the open wound nor what to do/avoid in his specific scenario. He was told the CT scan was good, no concussion, but then reviewing the discharge paperwork at home it says acute head injury (which I believe is severe to my knowledge?) with post concussive syndrome. Seems contradictory. I'm honestly still concerned about my boyfriend because I don't trust that he was treated with any care or empathy. If it wasn't for the nursing staff this establishment would've gotten a 1 star from this doctor alone. I wouldn't recommend coming here at the off chance you'll end up being seen by this guy. You're obviously just a paycheck to him. read more

I had to go here after midnight to get a cut on my leg treated. They got me right in and took wonderful care of me. I was treated nicely by all of the staff. The Doctor was kind and made sure I was comfortable, she took her time stitching me up. Fantastic bedside manner. Thankful for the staff that was on duty this past Wednesday night. The reason of my bad review is because of the surprise and extremely high invoice they will send me. The doctors were very nice but I got 3 different bills total of over $5,000.00 for a couple of hours in the ER, most of it waiting to get the x-ray. They gave my son a pain pill and a pain injection that cost over $1,000 (They never mentioned the cost and I would never imagine a pill for pain would cost that much!!) My son took a fall. We took him to ER at GVR. They checked him out and recommended a ton of unnecessary testing. They ended up sending him to Sunrise by ambulance. Turns out there is nothing wrong with him and he wasn't injured in the slightest. I was left to pay for two ER visits and a ton of negative tests. They also failed to explain the risks of a CT scan on an infant before recommending the test. At least Sunrise understood the situation and reduced the bills. After ripping us off, the ER at GVR continues to claim we owe them more and more money. Terrible care. Unethical billing. read more

I was 14 weeks pregnant when I decided to go to the Green Valley ER after a major blow to the lower abdomen/pelvis and developed painful cramping and nausea. Also at this time, I was worried about a possible miscarriage so I wanted to go somewhere I could be seen and taken care of right away.. I thought ER at GV would care and be of help, but I was wrong. When the ultrasound tech (Asian one with the badly-toned blonde highlights, tho I'm sure she'll change her hair after this review) came into the room- she was so rude, had ZERO bedside manners and only spoke to me in a tone of annoyance. "What are you in for today" then after explaining she says "most people come to the ER for broken bones, you should've gone to your OB". Like lady, my ob isn't open at 9:00 pm and to schedule an appointment would put me out 1-2 weeks, I'm in pain now... anyways we go through the ultrasound and obviously, I was completely concerned about my baby's wellbeing and just wanted to see for myself that everything was okay. So I politely asked her if I could just GLANCE at the screen (not ask what was going on etc because I knew she wasn't qualified to give me that information) but just glance to gain some sort of comfort. She said "Nope. Can't do that. I could lose my job and I don't want to lose my job. You can see your ultrasound screen at your next ob". When I tell you my blood was boiling.. You could lose your job for letting me glance at MY baby on the ultrasound screen? Really... if I had broken a bone, would you refuse to show me my scans? If my son or daughter had broken their bones would you refuse me to see that as well? Or if you showed me their broken bones you'd "lose your job"?? Why am I not allowed to look at my own body or my own child? Even for just a second? The entire time her face was flat, emotionless, and irritated to even be at work. So unprofessional. At the rate you're going lady, you'll lose your job another way- by you having zero bedside manners and a crummy attitude to work with! I don't recommend this place at all anymore. read more

Would just love to see some changes there because it is such an easy place to go to instead of the hospitals ER Spent the morning in the Henderson ER at Green Valley. Basically my biggest complaint is there is no bedside manner. From the girl who checked me in at the front desk whose name said she was an RN to the one who put the IV in. I would say the only person who really had a nice personality was the person who did my intake in the room. It was nice that everything was faster definitely than the regular hospital ER. But I was kind of surprised that they never went over my blood tests with me to tell me anything on my blood work. We are getting one of these at Cadence and I hope that they can find employees who have some bedside manner. It really does help when you're feeling So crappy to have somebody smile and maybe talk to you a bit and not to have to ask for something for the pain when you put your pain level isn't eight. read more

This was our first visit to this ER and immediately when we walked in, my husband said, "This is the cleanest hospital I've ever seen!" It's new, meticulously maintained, and even had an air filter on the wall in his side of the shared room. We were checked in and seen quickly, and parking was easy. Dr. Lindsey was so nice and helpful and she knew exactly what tests to do to find what was wrong with my husband. She ordered a CT scan which found his bladder was huge and way too full! It was due to his prostate blocking his urethra, so the fluids were building up in his bladder. So, Nurse Hillary came in and helped empty it by installing a catheter into him (I couldn't watch), but it was over in moments and he finally got relief. He had a nice, shared room, comfy bed, all the things a hospital would have and we could not stop talking about how amazing the experience was! an hour ago NEW I've been to this ER numerous times for vomiting. Most of the time, they're fantastic. The last time 2 times... I had one doctor yank my fluids out when I disagreed with him, told me I was "questioning his 30 years of experience" and then told me to take my own IV out. The next time, the nurse in the waiting area accused me of theatrics because I fell out of my chair 3 times and hurt my knee the last time. She's skinny with tattoos all down her arm and a terrible attitude. I waited 5 hours while people who came in after me and were by no means in worse shape, got taken back because I called this nurse on it. The charge nurse did nothing and I ended up having to call risk management to report these people. Be warned, if you say anything to them they will hold it against you and not treat you. read more

I made a visit to ER GV Ranch Valley tonight and was referred by a specialist with a letter assumed by Dr Han was something else as he said something uncalled for to me w/o finding out the results first before saying that to me. Also, a lab tech, Lyndsey, came to do my blood work didn't say hello at all to me till I said something. She did my bloodwork but was sloppy about it. People there don't seem to read anything correctly but is too quick judge people, which is unprofessional. I"m shocked they're still working there as I always thought CS also counts how you treat people to be your patience. The rooms are so close to each other, next room w/curtains, that you can hear almost everything about a person's issue when I thought you have to practice HIPPA but that doesn't seem to exist there especially when Dr Han comes in hollering out to me like I was deaf and I have sensitive hearing where he's asking inappropriate question w/o looking into records but only # times of coming in. What kind of doctors do this to people? I tried questioning him about it and he knew he was at fault but he didn't apologize to me. Most doctors don't even ask questions like the he asked me when coming into ER. You think these people know what they're doing in how they handle patients they but don't seem to use common sense being compassionate or doing the right thing but are a bit rude from all this. read more

Very helpful staff, but the claim they sent to my insurance totalled $53K for a dog bite that didn't even require stitches or surgery just ruined the entire experience. $53K???? This is why our health system is so broke. No moral qualms at all for these establishments to greed out on our misfortunes. Can't wait to see what they claim for a simple rabies vaccination, since you can only get subsequent shots covered by going to an ER. read more
