This gas station is a safety hazard. I stopped by to fill my tank, pre-paid at the pump with my credit card and when I removed the pump it WA blocked on OPEN and spilled gas everywhere, including my feet. I ran inside, someone came out and stopped it. Then they told me to move to another pump to get gas. I made sure to ask them to cancel the charge of the spilled gas and they said YES. Which was a lie, they did charge me and the claim that it was my fault. I will obviously dispute the charge and file a hazard complaint. read more

Went inside the station in the late morning to find it unattended at the register. Waited a good seven minutes. I didn't want to throw a fit, I wasn't in a rush. Eventually some stubbly, tragically petite man comes breezing in and I think I can finally get my snacks checked out but when he realized he was the only one inside he rolled his eyes like a teenager and helped me out. Muttered something under his breath about how he's the boss and it's not his job to do this? Maybe hire more people then? Or make sure someone is at the front before you go and do God knows what outside? I asked him if he knew which way Henry Cowell state park was and he rolled his eyes AGAIN and told me to use Google Maps. He gave me my change, slammed the till a bit TOO aggressively and dipped into the cooler. Don't know what his deal was... Napoleon complex maybe? Just made me feel unwelcome and burdensome. This is the only gas station in Boulder Creek. Great gas prices and great snacks. Also great propane prices.

Always been reliable and considering that everywhere and everything is gonna cost more here there's no reason to whine about it... they carry everything we need and I'm grateful for that. The guys and gals who run the place answer questions and will get there in the pouring freezing rain to fill a line of 10 people's propane tanks as soon as possible, but just be patient and remember that if it's taking 5-10 minutes you don't have a clue to why... maybe someone is trapped on their road and can't get there. So on the merits is a really great place. Been going in there over 20 years for all sorts of stuff. I like the staff and they're very helpful. Just understand that this place is unique and sometimes an employee can be a little salty. However they are really kind people all around. I talk to Scotty and Jeff the most and they're awesome. The people working there work VERY hard and are pulled in multiple directions all day and night all the time. It's pretty high volume place so please understand this when it's busy. They love fast and will take care of you. But this is a small operation. They've saved us multiple times over the years through all kinds of natural disasters when the power was out and roads were closed. Often they were the only ones pumping gas and filling propane bottles for our vehicles and generators . So I'm very fond of the place and the people that work there. read more

I've been here three times and I've gotten very friendly service every time. This is the only gas station in town and it's the cheapest I've been too around the Bay Area. They have a small Food Mart with tons of items for snacks and on the go essentials. read more

After buying gas and parking there to buy drinks and snacks, the owner/manager came out and told us we couldn't park in the parking spaces in front of the store. We were not at all disorderly, and had every right to park there as paying customers. Never been treated with such disrepect by a merchant in my life. I will not do business here again, and since they hate motorcycles I'd suggest any rider go on down the street to the Chevron before spending a penny in this place. read more

Avoid at all costs Living in this area for 15 years I've watched this place go down the tubes since it was once a Texaco, and is now a poorly-run independent station. The pumps rarely work properly, are inaccurate or flat-out dangerous (automatic shut-offs don't work- spewing gas all over), and the fuel is of questionable quality. Some of my vehicles never run right when I get gas here. Complaints to the staff are useless, as they state 'It's the only one in town!' That pretty much says it all. If you also find that the pumps are inaccurate/unsafe, let the state know. On a group motorcycle ride, we stopped here for gas and to buy drinks, snacks, smokes, whatever. The "owner" of the station then came and started yelling first at me and my girlfriend, the two least intimidating looking people on the ride, and then the other women on the ride before confronting the leaders of the ride. Yes, we did swamp the station, but we made sure we were out of the way of other people when we got gas; and we bough lots of stuff at the store. Since the owner literally told us to F#%k off, and apparently doesn't want to make $1000 in 30 min, I will happily oblige and not give him a single cent of my money. read more

Monday night I was in need of propane for my generator during the power outage and called the gas station at 8:30 pm and was told they stopped doing that at 8:00, OK I get it.... Tuesday night I was again in need during the power outage and went to the gas station at 7:30 and was standing in front of the propane when an employee looked at me and yelled "we quit doin that" and went back inside. I have purchased from this gas station many many times for the past 3 years since moving to Boulder Creek. I have not had any issues with any of the employees or products that I have bought here. Over a period of 3 years, a repeat customer who frequents a business would expect at least one incident with an employee being rude or whatnot. That hasn't been the case with this place. My mom had also forgotten her wallet at this gas station and returned to the gas station where an employee (I forgot his name) handed her her wallet. They finally got rid of someone who had a bad attitude, and hired new people that are helpful, nice, and like serving the residents of Boulder. This is the only Gas station in town yet, they take the time to get to know us locals on a first name basis. I have never been treated poorly. I park in the front and have only been asked to move when the propane delivery comes in. This is my morning stop to get coffee and gas before I head over the hill. The staff is friendly, Jared, Johnny, Carl, Lisa and the younger owner have always been polite. We are a mountain community that prides ourselves in looking out for each other. This place sucks. After frequenting this place for many years, the manager told the group I was with one day to get off the property. After we filled our tanks with fuel. We were there for roughly 5 minutes. We were on our sport bikes. We were not loud nor were we any bother to the business. We wanted to stop for a few minutes to get something to drink. The gas station is a "hang out" for the Boulder Creek colorful people. There is no restroom except the "porta potty" that is used by the Boulder Creek colorful people and the day laborers that mingle across the street at Johnny's supermarket. I have been told never to use this gasoline in any of my chain saws. The air compressor does not fill past about 40 psi. Hope you do not have a low tire on your full size truck. I will fill up over the hill or at the Shell station down the road to avoid this place. read more

I'm a local been in this town 20 years. don't go there if you can avoid it, especially if you pay by credit card. I was told by the cashier that they had been cut off from the credit card company's in regards to entering in credit card numbers manually because of too many unauthorized charges being made from their station.
