I found a really great family owned place that had been in Boulder for two generations and I used them for years. When rents in Boulder got too high, they moved to Nederland. I recently heard that they finally closed forever about a year ago which left me in a quandary about where to get my husband's favorite belt repaired. It is nearly 20 years old and the leather quality sound but the stitching that holds the buckle and loop on had completely torn away. We went in on Friday to see if the staff here could fix it. They said they could and it would be ready on Monday. We paid in advance about what the belt originally cost but hand labor is not cheap these days. Amazingly, they called today to tell us it was ready. We went over to the shop and indeed it looked very good. At least now we can put off the search for a new perfect belt, hopefully for another decade. Note: the place is still a mess inside and there are still dissatisfied customers in the line ahead and behind you. Hopefully your project will turn out as well as ours did.

I couldn't find any clear resources on how to fix this myself, and local tailors said they couldn't handle luggage repair, but recommended asking a cobbler. I found Mr Shine on Google and called ahead to see if they repair luggage, and then dropped off the next day. I was informed that they could try to replace the slider & pull, but that it may not be possible given some damage to the zipper, and they would keep me updated. Because they were unsure of the possible repair, I didn't have to pay anything at drop off (I really appreciated their transparency!). I got a call a few days later that the suitcase was fixed, and they were able to do the cheaper option after all. At pickup, the zipper teeth were straight, there was a leather reinforcement added to the end of the track, and the slider and pull were new and moved around smoothly. Their team is clearly skilled at what they do, especially for a repair that seemingly no other business wants to touch! They have beautiful handmade shoes on display in the store as well. The staff were kind and helpful both in person and over the phone. Definitely recommend for shoe, luggage, handbag repair & more!

I called at the end of June to see how the progress was going- I understand work can get backed up so I just wanted to check in. They told me they would be done in ten days and they would call me. By the end of July I didn't hear from them so I called again and was told the shoes were done and ready for pickup. I live in Estes Park so had to drive down to get them and when I did they were not done. The resole was done but not the sewing of the lining. Since it had taken so long and I wasn't getting correct information about the status of the shoes I just took them with me am still looking for someone else to complete the work. The staff was nice but I'm really disappointed in my experience here.

The staff was friendly and spent a lot of time with us as we went to make a selection on shoes. Prices are that to what you would see online. They did answer all of our questions. I am not sure if I would drive again from foco to Boulder but if I lived in the area i would definitely shop there again in future.

Also these are the people Redwing has authorized to sell and service their products in the area. I wouldn't trust the people who run this store to organize a Sunday picnic, let alone run a business. To be clear you are much better off ordering any Redwing products online and researching it yourself. The store is staffed with young associates that can't help much and the system has "been down" so transactions are on paper and with carbon copies.
