Day of, at noon, I went to pick up the skis and they were not ready, but he said if I came back at 5p (just before my flight) he would be done. Went back at 5p and they were not done. After swearing at me that he had too many f**ing tasks to do and too many customers so it wasn't his fault he said he could finish the tune while I waited for 10min and charged me full price. When I brought my skis in days later to adjust the bindings I was informed by a the new shop that "the skis have not been touched at all, the edges are so dull I can safely run my finger with pressure, there are 4-5 core shots needing repair for safety reasons, there is no basework, no grinding, and no wax." This shop charged half of Snow Hut and did a professional job and a full tune that you can see and feel. I have called my credit card company to revoke the charge since no work was done on the skis.

When they did so I was standing approximately 10 feet from a fire alarm. My hearing was damaged severely. I contacted Jax and a person claiming to be the general manager spoke to me about it. I am left with loss of hearing and constant ringing in my ears. Jax refused to help me or take accountability for what they did to me. Jax is just another heartless business that has no accountability.

I stopped by multiple times, to find a hand written note on the door says they're closed. Which contradicts their business hours posted online. Fast forward 4 months later to March of 2021. Not a single effort was made to reach out to me. Finally, I walk in on a day they happen to be open. I sh*t you not, I see the bike is sitting exactly where it was left 4 months ago, untouched. The associate said, I'll jump on this right now and have it ready within an hour. I said calmly "cool, I'll grab some lunch and come back." I came back 2 hours later, he was sitting behind the desk doing absolutely nothing, and the bike still wasn't even touched!! I literally had to say I'm going to wait right here and watch you do this, so I can take my bike home. He did it in 15 minutes. The phone was ringing like crazy, with no answer (figures). Not one apology, or explanation was ever given. I wasn't charged for the labor, but Jesus.. How do you expect to survive running a customer facing business without doing the absolute bare minimum of effort to meet expectations?

I especially like the selections of Patagonia, The North Face, Alpine Design, as well as ASICS and Under Armour, which some locations don't carry much of a selection of the high-end brands like Patagonia and TNF. If you browse their online site, select this store, and choose "In Store" as well as "Pickup," it can save you some time by allowing the staff to find the product you wish to purchase so all you do is come inside to get it or check-in for a curbside pick-up order. I did this just today, and it was a breeze! It took only 44 minutes for me to get the email confirmation that my order had been processed and was ready for me to snag at my earliest convenience. If something comes up and you can't make it by that day, you have FOUR days to pick up whatever you've ordered. So convenient!

What started as a simple exchange of soccer cleats. Turn into a stressful morning. Should have simply arrived and gotten help to return and place an order for a new size. Instead had me wait 20 min. For her to say that her system is down. And then I have to download the app and have it shipped to my house. She returned the credit to a gift card and told me to download the app and go re order my cleats. and now I can't order them as it won't let me ship to the store. And shipping it to my house is 14$ more expensive. Everything from the online purchase, pick up ,return went great. Leaving me to basically fix the problem myself. When I take my old things there to put on consignment they are incredibly fair on the pricing and the people who work there are always friendly, knowledgeable, patient with me, and make it easy/enjoyable to do business with them. It's definitely the first place I go to shop for anything that's outdoor gear related. If you check out their website (that they frequently update) they list all of the different types of things that they are currently looking for people to bring in and put on consignment and you can check out some of the things that are for sale. A bonus for me is that they keep me out of the large/overpriced corporate outdoor gear stores plus I never have to deal with the hassle of listing things on Craigslist/Facebook Market Place and all the hassles that go along with that process. They definitely make my life easier and I feel lucky that they're part of our community.
