They dropped a bolt into the engine cylinder which scarred the inside of the engine. They brought it to a shop in Denver to have the engine machined .The engine was eventually needing to be replaced because of a deep gash in the cylinder. The shop sold us a used engine from Japan and installed the used engine. The engine had numerous oil leaks, so we brought it to a different repair shop, they forgot to install a simple bolt. The negligence and incompetence of this mechanic is beyond what I've experienced anywhere I would never recommend anyone take their vehicle to Alltek. We spent over $2000 and the vehicle is not the same. We probably will end up selling it. Thanks a lot Alltek I will give you zero stars if possible. Just now we had to have a new oil pan put in because they used silicone to fix a broken bolt instead of fixing it PROPERLY! this never seems to end $500 more today!

Honest people with matching prices …read more... It's always a gamble with auto shops and even with my working knowledge of cars, there are some repairs I have to outsource. I own an older Jeep and took the repair to another longmont repair shop (Hey! Z) who quoted me over 1K to for a simple wheel bearing replacement. This other Longmont shop insisted the bearing replacement required new shoes/drums for each side of the vehicle. Keep in mind that a bearing kit cost $40 and drums/shoes parts are another $60 via an auto parts store. So that $100 in parts / $900 in labor costs quote told me I was being taken for a "ride". Homey don't play that so I took my car away from that unnamed (Hey! Z) longmont store. Enter Shop Werks ... My neighbor referred me to these guys and said he trusted them. I've heard this statement before but after my experience with Shop Werks, NOW I trust them. I didn't feel the same strong arm tactics that the other auto repair shop pulled on me. Shop Werks fixed what I asked them to, at a respectable price, and also told me of some additional things that could be addressed at a later time. Most place will tell you that you need to immediately address all your car problems just to inflate your bills .... Auto Werks gave me the option and I respect that. So, I'll be taking my car to back to them with my future repairs because I trust this place of business to give me a fair deal and solid workmanship. Thanks guys ..

A job I should have just done myself it's 5 bolts and a wire. You don't have to disconnect anything. It's a simple job. They tried to replace a fuse and say that was the problem. When I explained I saw the pump burnt out and told them how it keep blowing new fuses. Not to mention the warning symbols on the dash. They insisted I was wrong and returned my vehicle after I paid them 200 dollars. I start driving to work and it overheats and all the light are I told them about before are back on. They told me I needed to return the car to the shop. They don't sent vehicles out with service problems. After a couple hour of argument I was finally able to get them to tow it back to the shop. Fast forward 3 weeks later. They told me it was the pump this time and it would be another 900 dollars. I pay them thinking they have fixed my vehicle I can now finally stop riding the bus and working 7 days a week to pay for the repairs. I take my car and start driving to work when you guessed it. My car overheated and all the lights are on again. They tell me I have to drive it back to the shop. Keep in mind I am 24 miles away at this point and I have a broke car I just paid 1100 dollars to be fixed. I wait a few hours and try driving it back. The car is way overheating and they brakes locked up. I told them I am not driving this broken vehicle and they need to get it picked up. They get it back to the shop and tell me. The hybrid battery is overheating and I need to take it elsewhere. I took it to another shop. Only to find out Coloradoland didn't put any coolant in the vehicle after replacing the pump. It burned out the new pump and overheated. Skip ahead 2 more weeks. I have missed out on 600 in wages and paid 1100 dollars. They finally replace the broken part. During these repair they took spare fuses from my car and stole two bottles of coolant from the back of vehicle to finish the work they charged me for. Negligence and incompetence is one thing. Charging me for parts and services and stealing products from my vehicle is wild. It's much hard to get a debit card company to return money for a breach of duty than a credit card company. Lesson learned always use a credit card. Don't let shops steal from you. I am going to post this story everywhere until. This shop is closed. Edit: was called today by the manager trying to convince me that I told him he could use my coolant to complete the repairs. Now he wants to fix the situation after he got called out on the internet for the world to see. Which sounds more likely they were pissed at me for getting upset at them for dragging out these repairs and messing the job up. They tried to get over on me and took product from my vehicle. Or I after paying them hundreds and hundreds of dollars for products and services. Went out of my way to buy them coolant to put in my vehicle that I had already paid them to repair. That coolant was in my vehicle because as I stated they never put any in the vehicle after their repairs. When I took it to another shop to find out what was really going on I purchased that coolant to put in my vehicle to see if this would fix the problem but the pump had already burned out. When I came back in you wanted to act like nothing was your fault I got mad at you. You decided to use my coolant to stick it to me because you were angry at me for holding you accountable for messing this job up. Which seems more likely I went out of my way to provide you with products for repairs that I already paid for or you took something without asking because you were upset and try to get over on me. The garage recommended Hamilton. The assistant I spoke to was very helpful. She was able to get me scheduled and answered all my questions and concerns. Manuel showed up and was FANTASTIC!! he was SO nice and helpful. Of course 1st thing he checks is the battery. I told him it wasn't the battery. The battery was replaced about 8 months ago and I already tried jumping it. I'm thinking in my head "its the starter. i bet its the starter and its going to be really expensive...." (that's how my brain works... worst case scenario) He found the bolts attaching to the battery was loose. One he was able to pull off completely. Needless to say, he reattached my battery cables, jumped my car and saved my a TON of time, money and stress! I am absolutely keeping Manuel and Hamilton's number in my contacts. and if you need towing service with nice, honest, helpful people, I can't recommend Hamilton enough!
