Each booth is numbered and some sellers go so far as to set up small signs with their size ranges and brands offered or hang small banners from the top surface to attract customers. Each item is marked with their seller's booth number, the size, and the price. While some people may not like this approach to consignment shopping, I thought it was kind of nice to find booths that had roughly the same size and a similar taste in fashion rather than shuffling through a rack of one hundred pairs of pants. I will say that there was quite a range of prices with many pieces listed for $5 or $10 but also some items listed for $40+. I did expect to find more higher end brands but was overall satisfied with the condition of the clothes. The store was clean, well lit and organized during my visit. They have three dressing rooms with large mirrors so you can make sure items fit before purchasing as all sales are final. They could however do a better job posting more information on how the store operates. When I checked out I mentioned to the woman behind the counter that it was my first time visiting and she shared that items sometimes go on sale later in the week when sellers are getting close to the time that they must rotate their inventory around the weekend. With this in mind, if you're looking for a fresh drop stop by in the beginning of the week, if you're looking for a deal, stop by closer to Friday.

The variety clothes is unlike any other vintage store. They have clothes for men, women and kids and anyone between. The staff are kind and helpful. The owners are delightful!! They mainly do business with vintage shops and boutiques, but they have recently decided to open their doors to the public on the last Saturday of each month. The set-up of Top Vintage is like a warehouse (of win). However, if you are expecting a disorganized joint where shoppers are left to fend for themselves, you are sorely mistaken. They have all their items arranged into areas and bins, from dresses to overalls to jackets to shorts to shoes to bags/backpacks. During July's Top Saturday, they even hand-picked some black and white items to go on separate racks for easier browsing. As a vintage shopper, it is a prime source of goods and the Saturday events are like treasure hunts. It's that much more rewarding to take something home when you know you've worked to discover it. The staff is very kind and helpful and it is a great environment to shop. I'm not going to say that there's anything terribly wrong with that, I've found a few moderately cute items here, it's just TOO "trendy." A "boutique" full of chain store clothing. For example, I've seen a number of LuckyBrand items. All cute and well made, but while on sale in the Lucky stores, they are full price in Rendezvous. Hmmm. If you have an aversion to the under 20 set, I wouldn't recommend this store. The majority of employees and shoppers, save their mothers, are on average 18 years old. It's worth a walk through if you're in the area, but not worth the drive from The Galleria. Oh, and just a note in reference to "Fashion C's" review, while Free People and Betsy Johnson have great designs, the clothes are a bit over-priced for the poor quality of their clothing. Made to last one season. Perhaps not the most tasteful thing to have on the set, and yet there it is. The clothes are trendy, okay priced, but not wonderfully made. Given that it was a special event (Mistletoe Madness), you would've thought that they'd hire more help. They were disastrously understaffed and one "changing room" was not cutting it. The quotation marks around the word "changing room" are there because it was really just a bathroom. And evidently there was some mysterious and elusive list that you had to get on to use the bathro, err. . .dressing room, but none of the sales associates bother even offering to put my name on the list even as I sat there with a dress in my hand waiting by the bathroom door. They do have a smaller men's section that contains seemingly only British style button-down shirts. Many of them were a bit on the girly side with way too much floral work, but that seems to be all the rage with hipsters so I'm sure they do well. Evidently they also have another store in the Woodlands (or was it Katy?) that carries the same stuff. While the clothes were pretty cute, some of it was a bit out there and it was much too trendy for my tastes. I just cannot justify spending that much money on something that is such a fashion statement and will be "out" next season.

I reached out a number of times via email and social media (largely unanswered) to be promised they would ship the book X date, and it was never shipped.
