BUYER BEWARE! La Hacienda Boot Company is not a custom boot maker and they do not stand by their word or guarantee. I wear size 15 or 16 shoes and if you have ever tried you know it is very difficult to find these sizes ready-made in stores. My friend had recently purchased a pair of boots from La Hacienda and recommended that I visit them. I recently had surgery on my right foot and required special sizing of my boots. Long story short I ordered a pair of Elephant skin boots in size 15EE for my left foot and 15EEE for my right foot. When the boots arrived I tried them on complained that the boots did not fit properly. The left boot was too roomy in the area over the top of my foot and the right boot was very tight over the top of my foot. The length was good. It appeared to me that the sizes were reversed with the 15EEE on the left and 15EE on the right. The sales lady suggested that I take them home and wear them in the house for a while to see if they would wear in as boots are supposed to. She assured me that La Hacienda would make the boots right if not satisfied. I took them home and wore them as long as I could with-stand the pain in my right foot caused by the tightness of the boot. I returned the boots to the store and complained again. The salesperson suggested that they stretch the right foot to fit and did not even respond to the complaint of the left foot being too loose. So, the boots go off for a three week stay at the factory to be stretched. When returned the right foot was now as loose as the left. I am a volunteer for the Houston rodeo and the rodeo was fast approaching and I wanted these boots for the Rodeo. The sales lady said to go ahead and take the boots and wear them and if they did not break in properly, they would make them right. I wore the boots for 4 12-hour shifts but the boots were very uncomfortable. I returned the boots to the store and complained again asking for my money $950 back. The new sales lady referred me to the owner of the company because the boots had been worn. When the owner returned from lunch we talked and his only suggestion was that I buy insoles for the boots to attempt to make them more comfortable or they would re-last the boots at the additional cost of $250. Needless to say neither of these options were satisfactory as I had ordered a custom boot at a high price and had been promised on three different occasions that the store would stand by their product. After a prolonged discussion the owner suggested that the sales lady was probably not there any longer because she had promised to make the boots right. These people do not stand by their product. I would suggest that you be cautious if purchasing any boots from this company. I put a 1 star rating on this business because there is no option for any less. I really wanted a new pair of exotic boots. I couldn't find any Lucchese boots in cool colors. My brother in law told me about this place as he had stopped in while in Texas. I was VERY leery. While they don't charge what Lucchese will charge, it's still not cheap. I went on their IG and checked out all the cool boots. I decided on some blue caiman boots. The ordering process is pretty seamless. I called in and the gal texted with me back and forth. She helped me pick out what toe shaped and what not. My boots took a couple weeks but my brother in law got his in a few days. They even throw in a belt! Yay! My only piece of advice is that you ask if you can pay extra to perhaps have UPS deliver and you can require a signature. I didn't realize they were gonna be shipped by the US postal service. You know how that goes! Also, I'm a size 8 in roper Justin boots and the gal suggested an 8.5. Welp they are a little big. I should have gone with my gut. No big deal. I'll throw an insole in there. read more

La Hacienda Boot Company is run by greedy owners who value nothing more than money. Customer satisfaction, quality materials, good craftsmanship, and customer service are non existent. The entire family works there so no one will be your ally when lodging a complaint or a concern, guess they're worried about maximizing profit by any means to buy more Rolexes and Land Rovers. They lie about the materials used for the boots, saying the shafts are made from pig skin or cowhide and they're actually all cheap bonded leather that cracks after several wears. The owner says that mistakes with stitching causing tears in alligator or caiman skins happens all the time and refuses to refund boots with manufacturing defects. This isn't an issue with quality brands like Lucchese, Dan Post, Anderson Bean, Black Jack, Ferrini or countless others that work hard to prevent products like that from entering the market and completely refund the customer if it does occur. Save your money and shop around, spend just a little more on quality boots that will last you forever. This place does not deserve to be in business. read more

BEWARE!! This is the worst place to get your boots resoled. Awful customer service. Please beware of this scam artist. First off, I took my boots to only get resoled and the owner decided to reconfigure my boot. He changed my toe design. He took off my Lucchese toe and installed his ugly extreme wide toe without my consent. He told me that there's no other way to resole a boot without changing the toe. I've had MANY boots resoled from other local boot repair shops with not once encountering this problem. He then asked me how else could you resole a boot without changing the toe. I responded, just install the new welt, apply and sew the new sole, trim the sole, add your heel, stain leather with customers color request and done!! He had a face like if he was lost. TBH, he might be the owner of this shop but he has no idea about repairing boots. If you don't know about this type of repairs, don't offer this. He said the most common petty comeback "it is what it is! Really guy?? That's all?? Maybe a refund for this crappy service. Never again! He said that I should've assumed that he was going to redesign my boot. Cmon!! This guy has no clue what he's doing. What makes it worse is that that he was bad mouthing the other local boot repair shops. He mentioned that they do s****y work. I think it the other way around. read more
