Which turned out to be a caveat because apparently today was a day everybody decided to come to the aquarium. If you didn't already know this is where "Dolphims Tale" emanated from. Florida is and has always been dedicated to the preservation and rescue and Rehabilitation of the marine species and environment. The drive out here is something. Crystal Blue Azure Waters surrounded by pristine white sandy beaches.

Literally no fish whatsoever. You walk around the tank as you walk around the aquarium there are window all the way around, but again, the tank was completely empty. There were other areas of the aquarium that were under construction due to either renovations or expansion. Due to this there were multiple enclosures that had no fish are animals to view. It's a little disappointing when you are traveling for vacation and the aquarium was the place that your daughter was looking forward to the most. All this while still charging full price for admission. All that being said, they have a very friendly and informed staff and volunteers that clearly do a lot for the marine life. It is very commendable the way they are nursing injured marine life back to health. Definitely more of a rescue center than an aquarium.

Fun place to spend time with the family…read more My son is one, so maybe a little young for these games, but we were looking for something to do inside so we thought, hey, why not. They start by stamping everyone with black light numbers to make sure you don't leave with someone else's kid. I think this is a great idea because most of the kids are running around without their parents. There are two areas, on the left is the younger kid section where there are small rides like the type you see at the mall and a couple of games. On the right there is the main area with the arcade games and stage. I really like this split because my son could play on the left without getting trampled. We came at about noon on a Saturday so I would have thought there'd be more people here. Either we lucked out or it's always only moderately busy, but it was the perfect amount of people. They probably could have had an additional person working the cash register for food orders, but the line moved pretty quickly. The pizza does take a while to come out, but when you're playing games, you really don't notice. The only thing is you need one person to stay at the table with the number so if you have a younger kid, it works well to have two parents there. They do have an unlimited salad bar that touts over 40 ingredients, but it looked SO SAD. I took a pic just because I found it humorous. However, the fact that they have an option is worth accolades, because everything else is calorie dense. Of course, we had to go with an XL pizza with a stuffed crust. The stuffed crust is so worth it. It tasted like mozarella in the crust. The pizza itself was pretty good - nicely seasoned. Three adults managed to eat the whole pizza. Honestly, we should have gone with a large, because that XL was a bit much, but we powered through. Periodically Chuck E. comes out and does a ticket throw, where all the kids gather around him and he tosses tickets in the air. It was a bit bizarre. I'm actually not a fan of that. I miss the actual shows when the animatronic Chuck E. and band would perform on stage. There was an animatronic Chuck E. on the stage, but I never really saw her move too much. There was only a video with kids/adults dancing, which was mostly ignored by the patrons. The prizes didn't look that appealing, but I think kids really come here more for the games and the little plastic toy is an afterthought. You can get unlimited playtime or tokens. We went the token route, which made sense because my son really used like five tokens for rides and then ran around the rest of the time. Most games are one token so 33 of them last a long time (which is the least amount of tokens you can get). I enjoyed my time here. We will definitely be back.

Games were good, but you need special socks for the trampoline and slide area and I had to wait several minutes like close to 10 minutes while one attendant helped another guest at the counter to buy $10 socks per child so that they could go into area, and multiple employees walked by me, including the attendant that refused our children and we're not selling me the socks. Manager saw me and went and found someone who was apparently just sitting in the back so they could sell me these $10 per pair of socks, even though our children were in grippy socks. they're also should be sanitizer everywhere, but there's not

I've been going through it lately. Heartbreak, job stress, and a lack of purpose has been weighing heavy. I'm about to touch 30 too. Life is crazy, idk. Just feels like a transitional period. I've poured all my pain into my food reviews, which I guess has been productive on that end of things. I'm a firm believer that the best art ever made comes from pain. Not that what I'm doing is art, but it is my little creative outlet that no one can take away from me. I'm running so fast from feelings and demons that all that is keeping me from a Britney Spears level crash out is these dumb food reviews. I should probably just go to therapy. Maybe one day. We have been doing a lot of park hoping lately, checking out all the different parks in the area…read more This park has a playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic shelter and a large open field. It has restrooms however they are locked. Not really sure the point of having them there if not going to be in use. The playground I feel is for school aged children it's really not too safe for toddlers. They only have a couple of baby/Toddler swings for the younger ones. Also there are some safety issues with the playground, see photo for reference. The playground is pretty large. The basketball courts are in good condition and the time we went wasn't very busy. The tennis courts had lights that came on when it was getting a bit darker. They also had some lights around the playground as well. The open field would be great to play catch or kick the soccer ball around. Overall this park has a lot to offer for the area.
