I brought the kids here for a birthday party. As we arrived we had to wait in an extremely tight waiting area exactly until the party time, then each kid was called in one by one. It was a very long and unpleasant process as kids were worried about not being called and being in such a tight place. Once inside, there was no organized play, no happy birthday wishes until pretty much the end of play time when Mickey showed up. For some reason, the lights were switched off and blinking color lights put on. This made taking pictures impossible. After play time, kids were moved to the dining area. That's when it got totally crazy: for adults there was not even enough room to stand let alone have a bite and not all kids got chairs. Complete chaos. We left almost right away (before the cake to kids' disappointment) because it was impossible to be inside. I understand that party hosts may have invited too many guests, but the venue should've placed certain restrictions on the number of kids and accompanying adults; otherwise, it just gets very unpleasant and quite unsafe. The play area is clean and there are plenty of bouncy things to keep kids occupied for 2 hours. read more

Just had a joint birthday party here today for my sons, ages 3 and 6. The place was clean, the service was fantastic, and the kids had a lot of fun. We've been to parties here before, so I knew what to expect from the guest's perspective. As a host this time, I'm so thankful that the staff was so friendly, seemed to enjoy their jobs, and made it really easy for me to relax and enjoy watching my kids have fun knowing that the rest of the party logistics have been taken care of and will run smoothly. My kids usually love this place - today was a different experience with half the games "out of order", the toilet was FULL and had no flusher, water cooler was broken, token machine out of order. Hi I recently had my daughter birthday at Bounce N Play and it was AMAZING. I'm a busy mom, I have a full time job and its very hard to plan a birthday party when you have absolutely no time. I booked this place and I didn't realize how easy the process would be after. I told them exactly what I wanted and they got everything for me exactly the way I wanted and I will be honest I am very picky person when it comes to my daughter everything has to be a certain way. I was so happy with the way everything turned out. Everything was so organized and my party hosts were absolutely fabulous, smiled, looked energized, there got kids going and all the other parents loved it. I recommend this place to EVEYONE! This place was recommended to me by my Best friend because she had a good experience, unlike me. I was even accused of making a suspicious transaction by one of the party planners because I used two different cards, one for the deposit and another one for the final payment, I had made this booking more than a month ago and on the cut off day, even after I made my final payment she threaten to cancel my party 10 days prior to the day because I was missing one freaking form. I live four hours from NYC and did everything through emails and had to drive in the rain trying to get to a computer because the party planner gave me an ultimatum that if I did not turn in the form by 2pm the party would be canceled,this happend to be a second credit card verification form for using a second card. I am pregnant and all the pressure she put on me was too much to handle, she also told me that I had enough time Jada jada and that she had other customers on the phone, pretty much dismissed me even though I was already a customer who completed her payments for a scheduled party in advanced.I had no other choice but to have my husband call back, that's when she told him that the transaction seemed suspicious, so he asked her to give us back our deposit back since it was suspicious money, and she said she couldn't because it was nonrefundable typical of bad customer service. The manager heard what happend and told us not to worry about it. The workers on the day of the party did a good job, although they mentioned everyone under 18 had to submit a waiver but they couldn't serve pizza to any kid over 13 lol they had to get up and get it themselves. I honestly wanted to get that part of the day over with, which should have been a very special day for us and my daughter, and will never recommend this place to anyone. My husband and I hosted our daughter's first birthday party here yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! What attracted me most to this venue was the fact that their were activities available for everyone attending from my daughter's size to the adults who happen to be big kids themselves. I highly recommend adults that are in physical shape to take part in racing up the giant relay slide it was a blast! Myleen is the manager there I think and she also worked our party and I have to tell you her and her team HANDLED everything I literally mean EVERYTHING! We held our son's 3rd birthday party here and were so happy with how everything turned out. The entire space was exclusively available to our party, which made it easy to keep track of the children and to feel comfortable in the space. What stood out to us is that they have it set up for any one of any age to enjoy. Our party included toddlers, pre-schoolers, an adolescent, and adults. Everyone was able to join in and have fun (especially on the enormous bouncy slide). The party games for the children were really great...the littlest ones could join in along with the older kids. All play areas are new and in excellent condition and the space is clean, freshly painted, and nicely decorated. The hosts supervising and moving the party along were courteous, friendly, and well-organized. We ordered from their catering menu and the food was good...we were pleasantly surprised. My little one had a memorable time and he was asking to return for several days after. Now, I did not give BnP five stars because we were initially put off by how pricey everything turned out to be in the end and the fact that certain charges are not listed up front. First, I have to say that I do not like that their $200 deposit is non-refundable. There should be some sort of cancellation policy, because obviously unexpected things can happen. Once they hook you with the non-refundable deposit, you have no choice but to accept their other fees (or lose the deposit if you decide to go elsewhere). For example, they have a 15% "service fee", they pass on the 3% credit card charge to the customer, which is an issue if you have to order food and other extras over the phone (but of course, they "waive" the charge if you make initial reservation over the phone). On the website it says their site includes a wall climbing area, but that's only available if you pay an extra $150. We paid $50 for face painting and at first only one child wanted their face painted and the drawing was extremely bad. We had to ask the host to ask children again while they ate because $50 for one sloppy face drawing would not have been acceptable. The subsequent drawings were much better. They charge $20 for a cheese pizza and $5 for one topping, which seems extremely inflated (they don't allow outside catering). And they do not point out well before the party that everyone must wear socks in the play area. If you don't bring socks with you they will charge you $1.50 for a pair of socks that only fits 8 year olds. It is clear that they are trying to make money wherever they possible can, and I get that, it's a business but I did not like being faced with unexpected charges. The fact that the party was so fantastic made up for these unfortunate aspects of their business model. read more

The kids had a blast, nobody got hurt, and nobody went missing. The space is the perfect size, for parents who like to keep an eye on their kids at all times. None of the kids were ever bored, and that's including some of the teens, which was a surprise. Great little spot in Astoria that was easy in the wallet as well. Especially on cold or rainy days, my husband and I are excited to try any indoor space with our 2 daughters. This place is equipped with 2 bigger slides, challenging enough for our 4 year old (and myself), a bouncy house, a large ball pit, and for smaller kids, a tunnel/tube playhouse, and an area for crawlers. We usually enjoy our time here. The downside is any encounters with the staff or the owners. They are unprofessional!! On one occasion, I was breastfeeding my 3 month old while my older daughter played with her grandmother. The owner had the audacity to scold me while I had a small snack. Harassing me a few times saying NO FOOD allowed!! I got the memo, however, her delivery and approach from a customer service standpoint was appalling! Not to defend myself, but any new mom knows how tired you are and HUNGRY during those breastfeeding days! On one winter morning, they had no one to open their doors for freezing customers waiting outdoors. Granted they did show up a few minutes later, but what happened next is what shocked all of us who were also there. The father of a little girl maybe around 3 years old, was voicing his frustrations at the owner about making any little kid wait in the below freezing weather. She was immediately on the defense and showed zero concern. When this father felt his comments were met with complete apathy, his voice rose a bit. Within the minute, the owner began in a very condescending manner, telling him something along the lines of, "You need to lower your voice and calm down." That made me want to jump in but I kept still... The father responded one more time a bit louder about how she doesn't have concern for customers. Within a second, the owner was shouting at him in front of all the kids waiting "You need to leave, I'm calling the police!". Then a few more rounds of the same. Yes, people can get worked up, and when we are trying to do something nice for our kids, and you end up witnessing this type of exchange, you begin to wonder, can I take my children elsewhere? read more

I used to love this bounce house. Would gladly travel waaay out of my way because they had a great space. We went today after not going for awhile and I really dislike all the changes. There are too many video games that are for older kids (really scary aliens game that freaked my toddler out because there's a video going constantly) and they take up a lot of space. I get that this place wants to make more money, but my four year old stopped running around and just begged me to let him play games. I would go to an arcade if I wanted that. I booked a party here for my son's 5th birthday. Initially looking at the website & going there to make some extra party arrangements, I had nothing but great feelings about the place. However, on the day of the party I was not a happy mom AT ALL. It started to go downhill when one of the employees approached me to confirm the buffalo wings I ordered. When I made the order in person, I told them I wanted one tray of buffalo wings. On the day of the party, I made a last minute decision to order another tray of wings. I called the party place & they were willing to accommodate my last minute order. So during the party, the employee told me I paid for 3 trays. But, I only wanted 2. Clearly it was a mistake on the employee who took my order the day I was there- keying in 2 trays of wings instead of 1. They basically told me that they couldn't refund me my money for the extra tray of food that I did not want. I was annoyed but, I kept my cool because it was my son's special day. The second issue was the character I requested to come out- Spiderman. It was the saddest Spiderman I have ever seen! First of all, there are no guys that work in this place so the person who was in the Spiderman costume was a female. She was short & the costume she had on was dirty and very worn. She didn't even give a few minutes to take pictures with the kids. I was disappointed that my $ was gong towards this. Then, it was time to eat- as soon as we stepped into the room, we could feel the cold air. For some reason, the heat was turned off & it was very uncomfortable. Luckily, the thermostat was accessible & the heat was turned on. They only provided the kids with one slice of pizza. Some kids were still hungry after they finished their slice. After all of that bouncing & running around, children get hungry. I was so surprised they did not have extra pizza pies....even if I had to pay for it at the end of the party, I wouldn't have cared. It was just embarrassing for me as a host that there wasn't enough food to feed the kids. Then, the same lady who approached me before about the buffalo wings, came to me again to let me know that they decided to refund me not all of my money for the extra tray but, only half!! SMH. All of this back & forth and I only get half of my $$ back??!! Additionally, during this time everyone felt so rushed. People were still eating & the employees are letting me know that it's time to cut cake. The party was to end at 7:30. Literally at 7:29, they open the door, thank you for coming & start serving the cotton candy. The kids had a good time but, I had several comments from some parents that they felt rushed. The worst happened when I was putting on my coat & all of a sudden, I hear my son screaming & crying. Come to find out, one of the employees was leaving the room to go back to the party area & accidentally slammed the door on my son's hand. One of the "managers" was explaining to me that since the waiver covers everything, the facility does not have a incident report to fill out. To accommodate me, she said she would write a statement, make a copy & give it to me; I agreed. Stood there for a few minutes while the "manager" was writing this statement. Then, she asks to see my son's hand. Get my son from the car & when I come back, the other "manager" is there & tells me that the statement can not be written & had to be thrown away. FYI: The "manager" who was writing this statement never came back. She explained how everything is covered in the waiver I signed & a report could not be filled out. At this point, I'm extremely frustrated from all of the previous issues & now this. How are there two managers but, both of them are running the place differently. They should both be on one accord & follow the same rules & procedures to provide the best experience to their guests. But, I didn't get that AT ALL. Their customer service skills were horrible to say the least. They couldn't even give me a copy of this waiver. I ended up taking my son to Urgent Care to have his hand examined. Fortunately, his hand was fine but, the situation could've been different. If any of his fingers were broken, they would've been held liable. The waiver DOES NOT COVER THE NEGLIGENCE OF THEIR STAFF MEMBERS. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The only reason they get one is because at the end of the night, my son said he still had a good time with his friends & family- that's all that matters. It's obvious that I will NEVER be going back to Bounce N Play again! read more

If my two year old were to write this review, she would say BNP is the most awesome place in the universe. Of course she thinks that way of any place she's given the freedom to run and jump without mom saying "stop, we have neighbors downstairs" every two minutes. But, we're talking about a kid who can play with an empty box for 20 minutes, so take that opinion with a grain of salt. Since I'm the one who paid to get in, I get to give my opinion too. I agree with my kid that, from the kid's perspective, it's an awesome place, from the mom's perspective, there's room for improvement. For starters, there's not much to it - three bouncers and a jungle gym. We went after school on a weekday and it was pretty empty, but with a few more kids it wouldn't be as much fun. Also, my kid is little and so I jumped and played with her, but with older kids (and I'd say 8 is probably the max), there aren't many places for the parents to sit. A couple of small uncomfortable benches, but that's it. My other complaint is the music - it was blaringly loud, and the speaker was right over the toddler area. Too loud and hurt our ears - it was dangerously loud for little kids. It was also a bit pricey - though for a two hour session, the lack of activities and the loud music made it a one hour activity max. What matters the most is that the kid loves it, so we'll definitely be back. read more

You only get 2hrs an hour and like 10 min to play & the rest ur trapped in a room kids can't even go back out and play like other places where they can eat and play . They offered to do face painting for free yet I barley had kids on top of that half the kids were babies and didn't want to even go near the lady who did face painting. There are not considerate at ALL ! Not to mention you can't even bring your own food !!! The food we had which was pizza WAS COLDDDD ! I mean horrible not fresh at all . Then they rush you out . I mean I spent close to 1000 for what ? I mean pleaseee people if your thinking of doing a party there DO NOT DO IT !!! Not worth it I could of spent that money somewhere else. The workers there do not even pay attention to the kids there just there for nothing so we paying like a 10% to them for what for them to stand there looking like zombies ! I brought my daughter here for the first time for her birthday. We didn't do a party, just visited for one of their 2 hour open play sessions. The place itself is small but offered a variety of slides and climb areas. My daughter really enjoyed herself. She was scared at first but began to warm up. What I didn't like was the amount of people that showed up before the 1pm session. It was a mad house getting into the place and reserving a spot. Once everyone got in, it was okay. I wished they offered food because if you plan on coming for the 1-3pm session like we did, either you need to eat before like a late breakfast or leave early as we did because we were all hungry. Not only that but had to leave because my daughter fell down and hit her head pretty hard which scared me. Maybe she is a bit young as I saw a lot of older kids there (5 and up). I had my daughter's birthday party their in November. I paid for the party that included gift bags and a cake and a character. They did not supply the cake nor offer any kind of rebate or coins (they said they would give 100 coins if they did not supply the cake) - the manager was rude. The gift bags they gave where leftovers from someone else's party and not what they had showed me when I paid for the party (I guess they thought since I brought my own gift bags that I didn't need all of the stuff in their bags) I only had 10 kids not 15 kids and they offered no compensation and to top it off they charged me 71 that I had already paid and I didn't want to make a scene. Plus they weren't prepared everything was haphazard. One of the slides had a whole in it and my daughter's foot slipped in as well as other children and when we complained it was ignored. Have been to 2 birthday parties here, and always have a good time! There are really cool inflatable slides for the kids, a bouncy house, and indoor playground type area...plus arcade games and a play area for 2 and younger. My only wish is the playtime was longer...you only get an hr and a half. The team working there did a good job of getting the kids to take pics and get organized for the pizza lunch. Adults get to play too- I love going on the large slide and playing air hockey!! Go early enough to find parking. read more

Booked this place for my grandson's birthday. The customer service was horrific, the girls had major attitudes. The girl that was giving instructions was terrible because she was yelling and no one could understand her and you literally felt rushed. It is understandable that this is a business and time means time but when you are there waiting for people to leave so you can enter it defeats the purpose of booking a time slot because now your time is being cut short. You cannot set up the tables in the eating area. You pay for an all inclusive package and you have to remind the host of what actually comes with the package more than once. You request water not once, not twice, not three times but four times before you get it. And mind you, you do not get water but cups to fill up by the water fountain. You request soda for the adults and they brings out 2 pitchers 5mins before you are told your time is up and then they want to charge you for 2 untouched pitchers of soda. Most definitely would not recommend this place. Very pricey for the lack of customer service rendered. read more

This is a very nice facility, very clean and has enough to keep kids of all ages entertained. My only complaint is how they handled an injury. We were there for open play and my 7-year old son hurt his foot somehow in the bounce house. He came out screaming and crying, I took him to a bench to lay down and asked someone for an ice pack. There was no ice made. They had no ice packs. I was shocked - a place like this didn't have an ice pack on hand, ready to go?! And it would take 15-20 minutes for ice. My son, still screaming, is on the bench and I run out the door to see if there is a restaurant nearby that could assist - there was not, so I asked the man at the front desk for help. He is on a phone call, but said he would get me ice. I start checking my son for a fracture. About 7-10 minutes later, the man appears with a bag full of ice and a paper towel. The foot doesn't appear broken, he can move all his toes, no swelling, etc. but he wants to sit out and ice it. After about 20 minutes, I convince him to walk a bit and try playing. He goes off for about 10 minutes and comes back, still in pain. I go back to the ice pack, which is now a dripping mess (the bag had a leak), so I request a new ice pack (pointing to my son, who is obviously in pain) from an employee. She proceeds to change the water cooler (which did need to be changed) and speak to another guest before getting my son an ice pack. She was multi-tasking, but to me, a child's injury trumps the water cooler! I was really shocked and how poorly they handled this incident. Think if it was worse with a head injury, blood or something? It can easily happen at a place like this when it's busy with kids. SEVERAL ice packs should be on hand at this place, or at the very least ice is always made with QUICK access to it! If an injury happens, it should be attended to by the staff. Very disappointed in this, but otherwise, we had a great time. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

Called right before going out to find out if they were open for open play at 4:00 and the person I spoke to said "yes". Upon arrival (about 3 hours after the phone call) the person working was reluctant to even open the door to tell me that there was no open play at 4:00 that day. The person was unkind and barely opened the door to speak to me. He closed the door quickly and was extremely rude in responding when I explained I called prior to arriving. I planned a class play date over a month in advance and when I called a month ago, I was told I didn't need to make a reservation. Needless to say, I was disappointed by the service they provided. This place has gone downhill. In the past, we've had our kids' birthday parties here and have been pleased with the efficiency of the staff and the bouncy castles and slides they have there. But during the recent school break, we went there for an open play from 12-2 and, after waiting in line for 15 minutes (so, 12:15), were told that the kids would only be able to play until 1 PM because a party was coming in. Yet, they STILL CHARGED ME FOR TWO HOURS, which I paid because my kids' friends had already gone inside. They were also very rude about it, on top of everything else. The free play was pretty packed -- it was clear this place made some serious money in that single hour by charging everyone for two hours. With the huge crowd in mind, you'd think they'd do something generous -- or even fair -- by asking us to pay for just one hour, or give out free or discount passes or something. I got the impression that this place is no longer managed well and that the business owners are taking advantage of the local families because there isn't any other competition. This business seems like its just looking to make a buck without offering quality service to its families. read more

I booked a birthday party here and it was great! Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The staff was really friendly and the place is really cute. Booking with Ruben was really easy and he made sure to include everything we wanted. Walking in the day of the party you're immediately greeted by your party hosts (Jonathan and Karen) and they try to move you in as soon as possible. Today was my second time visiting Bounce N Play, and just as the first time it was a very warm and welcoming environment. The staff are amazing. Today I tried to make it for the 3-5pm Block but unfortunately I came late and the play area was full to capacity, so my 3 year old twins and I had to wait until the 5-7pm session. Now, as you can imagine trying to explain to 3 year olds that we have to wait until it is our time to go in is a challenge because they didn't understand why they couldn't go in right away and was crying saying "NOW NOW NOW". Thank God for the staff worker Devey and Denise ( I hope I'm spelling it right) because I was on my way to taking the toddlers to the store, (mind you it was nasty and snowing) and Devey offered me a bag of chips for the children which I was thankful for because Lord knows I did not want to put on their coats again and take them outside and they would have cried even harder thinking we were leaving if I had to do such. The toddlers then began to eat the chips through their sob tears, Devey then offered to warm up some extra pizza for them in the back along with some ice cold juice. I felt it was a blessing today because I couldn't imagine sitting with my crying toddlers for an hour as they watched other children play and not understand why.
