The employee dutifully put together a bouquet that fit my parameters (white and/or peach roses thrown in with other stuff within a certain price range). I haven't posted a Yelp review in quite some time but I had to come out of retirement to write this one. A friend of mine was having a really difficult day for a number of very important and legitimate reasons. I decided sometime after noon that I wanted to get her a flower arrangement ASAP. I did a quick online / yelp search for nearby florists, and Bouquets & More had solid reviews. I called them up and placed an order. Not only were they super nice on the phone and easy to "deal" with, they were able to deliver same day and the women I was working with called 2 hours later to report that she herself (!) was out with the delivery and then...called back after the actual delivery to confirm that my recipient had got them. Who does that? Simply lovely. My girlfriend - who was on the receiving end of said flowers - said the arrangement was stunning and thoughtfully done. There are florists all over DC. But this one impressed me with the excellent, personalized service, the constant communication, the beautiful (and relatively affordable!) arrangement, and the quick delivery. Really just an exemplary experience from start to finish. Strongly, highly recommend. read more

In preparation for a baby shower I was hosting, I reached out to Bouquets and More and placed an order a week in advance for two small floral arrangements to be placed at the table at a local restaurant as part of the shower decorations. Vicki confirmed delivery of the flowers via email the Friday preceding the Monday shower with the following email message: Hi Deanna, I will be providing two small white orchid lily arrangements submerged in water for $40 each for a total of $80 plus tax. I will need payment today. Please call me at 202 300 1348 so that I can process your credit card and send you an email receipt. Subsequently, I provided payment to Vicki that Friday. Monday morning is the baby shower and Vicki arrives with one flower arrangement indicating she forget it was suppose to be two... So I am totally caught off guard with no other options and the shower starts in 30 minutes. In my opinion, this behavior is totally inappropriate and I do not believe that she forgot there was suppose to be 2 arrangements rather than one. We had an extensive phone conversation regarding the arrangements as well as the confirmatory email referenced above which was sent to me the preceding Friday. There were only 2 days between the confirmatory email message and the shower date??? What happened? This organization provides poor customer service, is unreliable, and I would not depend on them for an important event. I am still at a loss of words that she showed up with one floral arrangement. I NEVER write reviews but my experience today was WAY TOO GOOD to not write one. It was my aunt's birthday today and I wanted to send her flowers. I searched all over to find a florist who can deliver today at an affordable cost (I was on a tight budget). When planning my wedding, my husband and I did our best to choose local businesses, and also focused on newer ones that we wanted to support. Bouquets and More had just opened a few months before my wedding and they seemed like a great choice. Their pricing undercut everyone else I spoke with pretty significantly and Vickie seemed very sweet when we met. I gave them pictures of exactly the bouquets I wanted as well as a picture of the bridesmaids dresses and thought that we were on the same page (all white flowers for all bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres). Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with what I received. I was told that I could come in about 48 hours ahead of time to view the bouquets, so when it got closer to the big day, I asked to come in on the Friday morning before my wedding (I got married on a Sunday, so this was just over 48 hours). I was told that was too soon and they asked if I could come in later in the day. I explained that I had my REHEARSAL and rehearsal dinner Friday afternoon/evening and couldn't come in until Saturday morning. Then, on top of that, I was sent an email (not called) about 2 hours before my rehearsal and told that an alteration was being made to my bouquets and asked ME to call THEM. Unfortunately, as brides will know, I was not sitting at my computer checking emails 2 hours before my wedding rehearsal and did not see this until too late. I went in the next day to find horrific yellow something in the bridesmaids bouquets. Yellow was not one of my wedding colors. We managed to salvage them with a few different filler flowers they had in the store. I was disappointed, to say the least, but I figured every bride has something that goes wrong and at least I only had them do the bouquets (I did my own flowers for the rest of the wedding). However, what really upset me afterward was the email I received from them, which I read the day after my wedding (btw, I forgot to mention that the flowers were just left on the porch of the venue - no one knocked or anything when they dropped them off). I'm copying the part of the email in this review that, in my opinion, is absolutely not how you treat a client. Especially one that ASKED TO COMPLY with YOUR rules: "Usually, brides stop in 48-72 hours before their wedding date to view one piece each of the completed bridal arrangement/bouquet/corsage/boutonnière set; this is non negotiable and wisest to ensure that everything is picture perfect, and the florist has enough time to replace or touch up any details. Since you have come for your viewing rather late, and were not able to respond to my email and call request about flower availability/payment, and as a courtesy we have implemented your requests for changes to the bridesmaids bouquets, all details and bouquets, corsages et cetera are final, and may be delivered up to one hour later than previously agreed upon." Obviously, not a great end to that professional relationship and I will never recommend or return to that store again. read more

Man, I love this place. We recently renovated our office (a design firm), and wanted to order new plants for the office. Our creative director actually *interviewed* florists, and ended up hiring Vickie and Bouquets and More to create small arrangements for everyone's desks. It inspired me to add another succulent to my collection, so asked our office manager who we had used for the office. I have since added two more large arrangements to my collection, because a) the arrangements are lovely and b) Vickie's super easy to work with. I called to discuss options, and the person (whose name I didn't catch) couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, or responsive. I love this place! I happened to notice it was there on my way to the gym. I decided to stop by on my way home from the gym. I had a conversation with the staff/owner and liked what I saw and heard. A week later I stopped by to buy flowers for my fiancé. Price was on par with most shops and I loved the arrangement. So did my fiancé! I ordered flowers for Mother's Day and they totally got everything right. They're open on Sunday so I was able to keep my flowers in their shop until Mother's day. These are not normal, run of the mill flower arrangements - my favorites are heavy with nostalgia and a bit of darkness. The terrariums are little worlds frozen in time. I was so surprised by the excellent customer service that I received when sending my daughter some flowers. From the initial phone call to place the order until the time the flowers were delivered, I received nothing less than superb customer service. Vickie sent me a picture of the arrangement as she headed out to deliver them. It was gorgeous. On top of that, I inadvertently gave her the old address of me daughter's work. I have used Bouquets and More for flowers on a few different occasions and had good, quick, personalized service. I called them this weekend to do a funeral arrangement for Monday, which I realized too late was a really short turn around time. Unfortunately, the funeral home was outside of Bouquets and More's delivery area, BUT they offered to call around to other florists they knew. They called me back within a few minutes and gave me the number for a place that was closer that would be able to deliver what I wanted to the funeral home on time.
