Went here on Wednesday July 3rd 2025 with my dad for some dinner before the town fireworks that day. We decided on here because we can sit down and have a drink. We walked there from the other side of town. That day they were also doing a hamburger tent outside. We decided to eat inside. We sat ourselves at a high top, and then our server greeted us and handed us menus. That day they had a limited menu due to the fireworks, but still had some favorites. We also asked our server and at that moment they weren't doing the full menu. Oh and at one point they did have Cherry vodka, and we asked our server and he was like umm not sure. My dad and I settled with a titos with sprite. Which was good at least.We started with 2 waters, (but only got one) and some medium boneless wings. The wings seemed to take forever to come out. Our server did inform us that he was waiting on the chicken, which is why it took long. The medium wings were very good, they did have the spice to them but wasn't bad. For entrees my dad ordered a burger and I ordered the jambalaya. Only thing is because we were waiting long for the wings, both the app and entree came out at the same time. I enjoyed both the wings and the jambalaya. Even the jambalaya had a kick to it but was enjoyable. We paid the bill with a credit card and left a cash tip. Also went to the women's restroom which was very clean. Do recommend trying this place, especially if you like spicy food! read more

Feb 1 2026 - The old owners had a winning menu, not only was it different than all of the other restaurants in the area the food was good. It was recently sold and the new menu is not original at all. The service was haphazard, the food was meh at best and it was so cold we kept our coats on. What an amazing place to have within walking distance from my home with amazing food and tasty drinks. The food was made to order so everything was hot. My Nashville sandwich was good, I've had different versions and this one can stand against the best. My favorite part of the meal was my free Hurricane from checking into Yelp. It was so good and even better because it was free. Our server was very nice and gave us pretty good food suggestions. Great spot that accommodated our party of 9 adults & 7 kids for outdoor dining! A few of our friends were only comfortable with outdoor dining, so I called ahead, and they told us we were free to sit in their outdoor patio. Service was great, and our food came out quickly. Very good! Stopped here for an early lunch and it was great. Thought it was a NEW place but the bartender said it's been around for years. It's in kind of a strange spot and the entrance feels like it's at the back of a building. Nice pub atmosphere and great food. Found this awesome bar/restaurant in the quaint little town of Monroe and so happy we did. Our Aunt lives nearby and we took her here for lunch. The food, the service, and the environment were spectacular. Incredibly welcoming and did I mention the food, menu, and service team were fantastic? Fried pickles, pulled pork, gumbo, and just about anything with their award winning sauce is a home run! A bit more here...after enjoying our delicious lunch, we had a great conversation with our hosts and got to know them a bit more. Not to sound hoaky, but we were so impressed with them. If I am allowed my humbled opinion here, I feel that owners Scott and Sarah are what defines American spirit. Scott is FDNY firefighter, Sarah a hardworking mom, and they are both run this outstanding restaurant together. No rest for the weary, these folks are getting after their dream! I was looking for a place near enough to Woodbury commons but not a fast food spot. The menu here looked good and was worth a try! We had the fried pickles, New Orleans nachos, wings, shrimp po boy, crawfish etoufee and the California burger. All were great choices and I'd definitely recommend the crawfish etoufee and the wings if you're trying to narrow things down! Jen provided AMAZING service and answered all our questions and made sure the items we ordered didn't have pork to accommodate our dietary restrictions. This hidden gem sports a nice selection of beers and a superior NOLA style menu. The traditional gumbo and the wings, the veg jambalaya and the flatbread were devoured with cries of joy. Attentive service by the warm and friendly Ann was unrelenting. Our dog was welcomed and behaved like a perfect gentleman which won him approval. The decor is reminiscent of the offbeat NOLA restaurants I know. It rests on the laurels of the menu with some down home touches. Hard to believe such a good Nawlins vibe could be had in the Hudson Valley. Definitely worth a return visit. read more

I always like to give restaurants multiple chances, because hey, maybe someone is having an off night (the kitchen or even me eating haha). But Bourbon Street Bar and Grill has repeatedly been decidedly "ok" each of the three times we've tried it over the past 2 years. We've had a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees from this local restaurant and the results are very consistent: under seasoned. This time my wife had the BEC Burger with normal fries and I had the seafood jambalaya. We also ordered the pretzels and nachos with added bacon appetizers. Starting with the appetizers, the pretzels were fine. The nachos were also ok, nothing extraordinary but the chips were not overly soggy, some were even crispy! However just like last time I added bacon to something here (it's a menu option!), the bacon was nowhere to be seen. My wife didn't finish her burger as it was too dry and bland, having little of the sauce. I did finish my jambalaya which came with spinach. However only after hitting it with a dash of seasoned salt. Without it, the rice and seafood was just bland. Also the description in the menu is deceptive. It says the seafood version is like the normal one but with shrimp, crawfish tails, etc. It actually has none of the proteins from the normal jambalaya, just the seafood. Maybe if it had some of the saltier proteins it would have been better. The spinach was seasoned well enough though. Also the shrimp was a little overcooked, but that may have been a result of it being takeout with the shrimp continuing to cook a bit in the residual heat. In previous visits we had gotten poboys. They either have too much bread or not enough remoulade, they're just too dry. Maybe scoop the bread a bit so the sandwiches are better balanced. I'm sad since I love poboys so much haha. If we return, it's going to be a while. It depends on how quickly both my wife and I forget about this last experience haha. The food is just too bland to taste like it could have come from "Bourbon Street". If you have a sensitive pallet then maybe Bourbon Street could be the place for you? read more

Overall a good place. They currently have both indoor and outdoor seating and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They don't take a lot of risk with the food but it is not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I wish my Cajun Poboy had a little more kick to it but the fries were excellent read more

Our family decided to do a relaxing day of shopping and exploring. This place was different than the mainstream places we typically go and had great reviews via Yelp. We had a great time. The place wasn't busy at all, and had football on the TVs. Our waitress (blonde woman) was great, attentive and understanding with our picky kids. The wing sauces were awesome. I recommend the award wining (the menu said) Bourbon sauce. Personally, I ordered a spicy chicken Po Boy. Delicious! And big. I couldn't finish it no matter how much I wanted to. So happy we found this affordable spot to dine in! The vibe was really chill and the food was fresh and came out quickly. My husband and I ordered the catfish and the shrimp Po' Boys sandwiches with the nachos (without chili) as the appetizer. We also redeemed the yelp check in BOGO drink offer. Let's get straight to the drinks, the hurricanes! It was sweet with a nice little kick. Back to the food, the portions were large, and the catfish and shrimp were breaded and fried to perfection. The catfish Po' Boy had a little spice to it but that's because it had jalapeños. Oh I need to add this- the bread was toasted and not soggy which I love! The nachos were pretty good, not skimpy at all. we did have to ask for some sour cream on the side. Cajun dishes lacked the richness & zing we last had here (5+ yrs ago), but Nutella fritters are representative of the best New Orleans crepes & pralines. Pulled pork, nachos & salads were very good, quesadillas (shared) got mixed reviews (I liked 'em). I highly recommend giving this place a try (particularly with the 1/2 Tuesday apps). This place can be hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. The place wasn't busy when we got there but when we left, we saw people starts coming in. The service was great! Our waiter was very polite & the service was quick! However, the food in our opinion is just decent, nothing special. We got the veggie burger with monterey jack cheese, the shrimp quesadilla, & the mardi gras po boy. The burger & the po boy came with a cajun fries. The fries were probably the best part of the meal. It was flavorful. Everything else was just decent. The burger & the po boy were a bit bland & dry. We're not saying the food is bad. It's still good but not great. The portion is great for the price. All total, we spent only $29. We weren't stuffed but we were full when we left the restaurant. If you're in the area, we think it's still worth stopping by. read more

Really wanted to like this place but didn't have such a great experience. No seats by the bar so we had to sit in the dining area...alone. My husband ordered the rib eye and it was spoiled. This is a nice little sports bar in Monroe that we went to on a Saturday night to watch the Packers play. There are a lot of TVs lined up at the bar and you can pretty much get a view from anywhere. The clientele was mostly local and the beer selection wasn't huge, but overall a nice place to go to catch a game or relax after hiking/skiing in the area. We had some of their flatbread pizzas with sausage and pepperoni that were pretty average. There were a few belligerent drunks when we went, but most of the crowd was there to relax and have a nice time. read more
