I got a flight and enjoyed all the beers. I also got a burger and thought it was great. The place was quiet on this weekday as we stopped in early for lunch. The building is so interesting and the staff was friendly. I'd come back again next time I'm in town.

All in all the places pretty nice the chicken was tender. Could use a little more sauce. I think it was supposed to be a lemon chicken. There was a lemon on each chicken. Eggplant roll. Latini was good. They have these little meatballs that they were serving those were really good. They had a little vegetable roll. That was really good. We were at a winning so they were passing around hors d'oeuvres. Chicken taco was roe that was good. The bruschetta I didn't care for too much because they put balsamic on the bread and it took away from what it was actually supposed to be tomato and an onion mix. I have an outside bar. It's pretty cool. That's where the DJ was set up. That's where the dance didn't happen. Unfortunately, I think the drinks were down because I had eight Jamisons and two vodka and Gingerale's and I didn't even get a buzz on. The bathroom faucets are cool.

Reuben - large, full of savory flavor. Fries - "truffle" wasn't noticeable. Loved the kick of jalapeños in the little side of slaw.

There were two large parties in the dining area, so it was a bit loud, but helpful because my kids were being crazy. Found it difficult to choose which burger/sandwich, but the waiter kindly pointed me towards "favorites." The kids loved their basic kid-fare, cheeseburger and fingers. I will admit, I was hoping they would save some for me. After confirming that the marble rye was seedless, I went with the Reuben. Ton of flavor - buttery, cheesy, salty, YUM. The truffle fries weren't anything special, still needed salt. We also ordered the Hacksaw. I mean can you go wrong with bacon, cheese sauce, and jalapenos? Plus it was on a pretzel bun. Glad we checked out this place, as it was only 15 min from LEGOLAND and had some good pub food. Would definitely try the apps next time, as everyone else dining there seemed to be enjoying them.

It amazes me that I went to a place with cheese curds and didn't eat the cheese curds. I... can't adequately explain that one :D Anyway, I discovered downtown Middletown, and I absolutely love downtown. And in the course of photographing downtown with my friend, I noticed a brewery. And therefore visited the brewery, and therefore sampled the beer. Ambiance: Tough, because I went on a relatively quiet Sunday in cold weather. There were a few people around, but plenty of room at the bar or a table without going to the side room. I didn't explore in depth to see if there were additional rooms beyond that, but after we stood at the bar for a minute and the tender arrived, he _did_ ask if we wanted to sit at a table, so I wouldn't know how this works when it gets crowded. But you do get to see the entire distillery room from the main area and the whole thing is a nice historic brick building, so to me it feels just right. Service: Gonna forgive not seeing anyone for a few minutes, because with only a few people around, you don't need more than a single server/bartender, so if he was off helping someone we wait. He was friendly and helpful and talkative once he returned, all good. Food and drink came out promptly, but again I don't know how it works when the place gets crowded. (I know Middletown can bustle in nice weather.) Food/drink: My friend and I each had one beer, since we were on the road. I went for the dark vanilla stout and it was wonderful. Reasonable price for a pint (or 12 oz for a heavy beer like that), and with the special Orange County brewery coupon program they willingly advertised, that got us "2 for 1" beer! Super great to see that going around OCo, as there are a lot of breweries to try with various perks to encourage it. I can say the beer is well worth that coupon, because you will want to drink this tasty stuff. My tummy was kind of going for a pierogi vibe and the bartender said people like that and the pretzels (I'm not as much a pretzel guy) so that made my choice easy. Perhaps I would have liked the curds more, but 8 pierogis are a good amount of food for a "side" and filled my missing vegetable quota from the maple waffle breakfast (see my prior review today!) with the potato filling and caramelized onions on top. Best pierogis ever? Nah. But they were good, and there's a nice variety of food on the menu to choose from. Only downside is that you don't see prices anywhere, but we didn't ask and it wasn't that painful. I'm sure they'd let you know if you asked, so no stars lost. Overall a very nice experience in a very nice town!

The two girls working the bar and tables worked their asses off today. This gives me hope for the next generation, as these two worked harder than imaginable. The food -- the pretzels and the onion dip -- were excellent. The beer? Also excellent. This is certainly a place to come back to.

So I have mixed reviews on this spot. Let me explain. I'll start off by saying the reason the place gets 4 stars, instead of less, is because of the amazing service of Alex (give him a raise). Ok, I will now explain. We were a party of 5 excited to try this spot. The vibe seemed nice and the food seemed good. We were informed that since a party had reserved the majority of their sitting area they did not have any seating for 5 in the area still available (4 was the max due to fire violations). They told us to walk outside to their other establishment where the bar and ax throwing and games are for service. This side is just a bar so there was no seating- hugggggge area but no seating lol. We joked as I called it "the largest smallest place I've been to" as this huge spot had no tables just the bar. Alex, the bartender, however was very welcoming and inviting and although he was not prepared to be the only waiter and bartender for the overflow that came over he was so accommodating. He got us a table and our group sat at the table (we were the only group at a table lol). He took our orders, got out drinks from the bar, ran back and forth to the kitchen for condiments as we needed while still caring for the busy bar area-BY HIMSELF. Wow he was so friendly and inviting and made us want to stay (unlike the front staff who seemed to care less). The food was delicious (koodos to the chef) and I liked that any beef burger could be changed to a mushroom or chicken burger instead and mine was delicious. Would I go back ? I think so especially if Alex was there. Just be aware they may not be able to sit you if you party is greater than 4

My wife and I opted for an early dinner. The place wasn't crowded, which we appreciated. The fried shrimp basket for starters was delicious. My wife enjoyed the Bavarian pretzels, while I went for the Big Bad Wolf burger. We also sampled some of the beer. Overall, a good experience, and we plan to return.

Took my daughter to Legoland and we searched for kid friendly breweries near our hotel and this place popped up. Beautiful old building that looks like it could have been a factory a long time ago. Right when you walk in the front door there is a glass room where they brew some of the beer. My daughter thought it was so neat to see all the equipment that's used. The food was so good. She got the Mac & Cheese and I got the The Walk-Off Bratwurst with Truffle Fries. The fries were so good that she stole half of them. We picked up some merch which is always a must. She got a T-shirt, no kids sizes so she got the XS Adult to wear in the future and I got a pint glass for the collection at home. If we were locals we would definitely come back. Great find!

Went here with some friends for a birthday on a Tuesday night. We were able to sit in the beer garden for a long time playing board games, drinking, and eating. We all stuck to their mixed drinks and all of them were delicious. I especially liked their "dirty shirley" but I also loved shirley temples when i was younger. The girl taking our order and making our drinks was very fast which was great. I got the fried CBR chicken sandwich which they were able to put pepper jack cheese on. It was delicious! The fries here are also really good but I was disappointed that I asked for beer cheese on my fries and they gave me a cold little plastic ramekin on the side. I definitely wouldnt pay extra for cheese again.

Oh My Cod with truffle fries (husssh they come with all sandwiches ‍).

So let me tell you about this place. I've been here several times and never disappoints . I've had the Oh My Cod twice cause I love fish sandwiches and it's always fresh. But their Reuben is good too. Drinks beer and yes they have wine!! You will be very happy. Everyone is nice, food delicious and ample parking. Downtown up and growing Middletown. I think I'll call this area MiDi for Middletown Downtown district.

Ask the Community - Clemson Bros. Brewery

Would this place be good for a rehearsal dinner?

Sure if you want an informal place. If you want an intimate place or fancy food, this probably wouldn't be the best place.

    Do they have vegetarian dishes?

Not really. They have some good appetizers with no meat like artichoke dip and great fries. There might be a sandwich, just don't remember.

Lots of wood. Cool large Einstein art as you approach the building. Lots of inside seating with natural light. Outside seating and smokers for BBQ. I ordered two 4 ounce pours as a way of informing my can purchases. Photon, a Pale Ale. And MC Squared, a Double IPA. Both were very good. Reminded me of the ales at some other top breweries. I decided to buy a 4 of MC Squared and I asked the person working if there was anything special that they had in cans. She recommended Mmmosa, which is a pale ale with orange flavor. I tried it and it also was very good. I didn't eat, but I note that Equilibrium really seems focused on BBQ. Something to research before you visit. 4.5 Stars

Google for some reason won't let me post this; it was written with that site in mind…read more If you're going here to revel in the antics of Samantha and the other cute barmaids, read no further; it seems like you'll have a good time. If you're coming here to eat, though, read on. I was part of a 16-set whose reservations were made *three* days earlier for 11 a.m., when the Switch opens for brunch on Saturday mornings. About 14 of us showed up. When we entered, we were told we had the back space all to ourselves ... only to find the tables had not been arranged for such a large group. We helped the staff, which is to say one of the attractive young women probably among those mentioned by name in many of the other reviews, put them together--by which it would be more accurate to say we did it for her. Said waitress was the *only* person working the *entire* front ... there were a few other people near the bar. And none of the cute barmaids. This young woman had to do *all* the waitservice *and* all the bartending. There is absolutely no excuse for letting this much service fall on the head of a single staffer with this much advance notice. They had *three days' notice* that they'd have a big table at Saturday's open. That's more than enough time to get someone else to come to work. That they did not suggests that someone was too busy writing emoji-laden one-word responses to Google Reviews to let this be brought to his attention, or that it was and he didn't care because he needs a little help making this month's boat payment. If this had been the only problem, I'd have left a generally favorable review. But instead, it got worse. A friend in the group who has plenty of restaurant experience themselves and noticed these same deficiencies ordered some iced tea with his breakfast--only to be told there was none available. Uh, OK ... these things happen. Immediately afterwards, I ordered coffee. A few minutes later our cute barmaid returned, and said with some evident surprise that ... there wasn't any. Really? On a Saturday morning when you advertise and serve an extensive brunch menu, you have somehow forgotten to restock something so basic? This is Restaurant 101. As my omelet was being prepared (it was good ... the food is the only thing that got a star here), the same cute barmaid came bouncing out to inform me that ... there was no whole wheat bread to toast for the side I had ordered. Would white be OK? Yes. But I was beginning to feel like the Switch's business model was the cheese shop in the Monty Python sketch, and did something I would never have imagined myself doing before: announced loudly that that would mean another star off the Google Review. I guess Mr. Owner was too busy keeping up on *his* strategy of responding to every single review in order to intimidate people from posting what might be more generally bad experiences from which lessons might be learned to actually check his stocks, much less order more (However, maybe there's an upside to this ... if people want to shoot each other in the future, there won't be any bullets available). And while this experience was not the fault of the cute barmaid, who I should say I still tipped (albeit modestly), since she was indeed polite and charming and (importantly) apologetic the whole time, especially again given that she had to do all the front-end work by herself, she did make one significant error my restaurant-veteran friend noticed. Another of our number had his drink delivered without the lemon wedge that was supposed to be in it. She (yet again) apologized, and came back with several lemon wedges to choose from ... held in *her bare hands* when they should have been in a bowl or on a plate. This is an actionable health-code violation, and the only reason I'm reporting it here rather than to Goshen is that, for all the aforementioned reasons, I don't want her to get into trouble and get fired. When I told my wife about all this, she said that a) she would have stormed out and gone to Dunkin' Donuts (which, for her, is saying something) when the coffee wasn't available and b) $14 for even a well-made omelet was way too much given this display of incompetence. So, Mr. Owner, if this the "trying our best" you bragged about in your response to one of your other dissatisfied customers (and FWIW it seems like those reviews have become more common in the last year or so), you are falling far short. As Yoda told Luke, "do, or do not ... there is no try". Maybe you should consider hiring someone to actually run the house and just limit yourself to being the social-media manager you have clearly always wanted to be. The Switch Inn? It should be Asleep at the Switch Inn!

Next the service- it was extremely slow. Like super slow but I will say the staff was very nice and it seemed like our waitress was waiting on many tables by herself so I wasn't mad about how slow it was. But it should be noted. Now the Drinks. I truly don't know how I feel! My friend and I both ordered drinks. She ordered the Pom-Amore which is supposed to have fresh pomegranates in it and an edible flower as a garnish per the description. It had neither! She did have cranberries in it, maybe they ran out? I personally don't like that, they should have informed her they didn't have the right garnishes what if she was allergic? I had the cranberry limoncello which was supposed to have cranberries in it and it had none, hilarious I know! On top of that my glass was dirty had something caked on the inside the glass (like my straw wouldn't move it off) so they had to remake it. But it did taste very good. Lastly the food- My friend ordered the burger she said it was very greasy, I didn't try it so I'm not sure. She had the hand cut fries with it and I did try them and they were delicious! The portion of the burger and fries was huge! I got the avocado egg rolls and the Sweet Thai Wings. I wanted to hate the egg rolls because when they came out it's literally just like avocado inside, which is my own fault I assumed it was going to be more like a southwestern egg roll. However, they were delicious! It came with this spicy sauce that was so good. The only down side is that they left the avocado pit inside one of my egg rolls- I took a picture- which wasn't pleasant to bite down on. I also ordered the wings. They were good. The sweet Thai chili did not taste like Thai chili rather more like a buffalo wing so much so that I wondered if they brought out the wrong wings. I will say I got a bit of an ick because I found feathers on the wings. These are fresh butchered wings so it's understandable but also not my favorite thing to have happened. To note: I think it would have been nice because of the dirty glass for them to have offered a free dessert or something (especially since both our drinks were made wrong but to be honest we didn't tell them that they were) but that's just my personally thought for excellent customer service. Again, the waitress was extremely nice so of course I still tipped 20%!
