Got both catfish Poor Boy one with fries and the other with Gumbo. The Catfish was too salty for my taste and the Gumbo was bland. The service was fast and personal-but we were the only one there. Others came in as we left. Tried an Old fashion and switched to Jack and Coke. Ambiance was really New Orleans. I wanted food from the dinner menu and thought the only ones there @ 1430, was told not even a option. My rating is mainly due to the fact left there and went to another place to eat and I would not recommend or return

My family tried bourbon street bistro yesterday. We go there for an early dinner around 4pm. We ordered Louisiana style chickory coffee which was delicious. I ordered the sampler and it was really good. I really liked the Jambalaya. My girlfriend had the oysters and they were very good. I really liked the smoky flavor. My daughter had the pasta. It was thick creamy and delicious as well. I also had some gator bites at the end just for curriousity. They were juicy and delicious. Our bill was about 100 bucks. You should probably expect to spend 20-30 dollars a person. The service was also fast and friendly. Chef Curtis stopped by and checked in on us personally. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out.

Food was fast, hot, and scrumptious! Service was great too! It's very tiny inside as are most area restaurants here. I'm glad we came when it wasn't busy!

My husband and I visited this Cajun restaurant on 4/3/2026, and while there were some real highlights, the overall experience left us slightly disappointed. To start with the positives: the environment was inviting, upbeat music was playing as we walked in, and the whole place had a lively, welcoming vibe. We saw guests at nearby tables laughing and enjoying themselves, which made us excited for our meal. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We waited over 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and when our waitress finally arrived, she came across as unfriendly and uninterested in serving us. It set an uncomfortable tone for the rest of the meal. The appetizers, however, were outstanding. The deep‑fried deviled eggs were honestly the best we've ever had -- and we've tried them in several major cities. They were so good my husband is already trying to recreate them at home. The hushpuppy basket was also excellent: piping hot, light, and clearly cooked in clean oil. Those two items alone showed that the kitchen is capable of great things. But then came the biggest disappointment. Our entrees arrived at the exact same time as the appetizers, and both were not served at the correct temperature. I ordered the crawfish étouffée ($28) and expected a rich, warm broth. Instead, the temperature was neither hot nor warm -- just cool enough that the fat in the sauce hadn't even melted together. My husband's jambalaya was the same way. The flavors were good, but the temperature made the dishes unenjoyable. We ended up asking for to‑go containers and decided they'd probably be better reheated for lunch the next day. Overall, the flavor of the food was on point, and the ambience is clearly something the owners have put thought into. I would happily come back again and again for the appetizers alone. I will however pause if I want prompt and attentive service.

Overcrowded, understaffed, out of many menu items, bland generic approximations of cajun food.

The wait can be 20-30 minutes during prime dinner hours, and the food wait can also be lengthy. Plan on enjoying a few hours here and don't be in a rush once you get here. Let's talk about the food. They have gluten free options and anything can be made gluten free according to the staff. They also have some vegetarian options. I love burgers, and honestly, it's hard to beat a handmade beyond smashburger. This restaurant currently does not offer another veggie substitute other than the Portobello mushroom. It was good, with the added goat cheese, but would have rather had a burger substitute with mushrooms added on top. The fries are great! Perfectly fried with golden crunch in every bite. The garlic aioli is the perfect dipping sauce. I ordered a ranch side as well and it's good, but the aioli is the best choice in my opinion. Great local restaurant with a burger for everyone.

But Amy was very good with answering our questions and giving her opinions on various dishes, as well as her interactions with Oliver We started with some wings with house hot sauce and an order of cheddar and candied jalapeño fries. Both were very good, the candied jalapeños had a nice heat but were not rude. I had a Cubano sammich, as you know I am a sucker for these and once again - no plancha!! This one wasn't even squished in a George Foreman grill. Just served on a (good and tasty and crunchy) bread. Oliver had a cheeseburger and fries, and the table order was rounded out with a braised beef sandwich. That was declared by Amy as the number 1 sandwich at the place. Oh jeez I almost forgot - they've got several beers and Amy was again a font of knowledge asking us what kinds of beers we liked and helping craft suggestions based upon what we liked.

I wanted to try something new and interesting and through my Yelp research I found this spot. It's located in downtown with metered street parking free Monday-Saturday nights after 6pm and all of Sunday. Luckily, we were able to find a spot easily. Inside was modern and relatively clean. We had to wait a little bit to be seated as they were pretty busy; however, this place had a decent amount of seating and space. Service was good overall, but it wasn't as consistent as I would've liked for actions such as water refills, asking for extra napkins, etc. This was partly because they were very busy that night. They have a variety of food options - apps, salads, sandwiches, pies (pizzas), and dessert. We ended up ordering a large pizza (thin crust) to split - half Thai and half Chicken Gouda. Both were yummy although the crust was a tad burnt - nothing bad to the extent that taking bites were an effort. Overall, I preferred the Thai since I've never come across a Thai style pizza and I could really taste the curry sauce. The only downside of the Thai was that the shrimp were slightly overcooked, which could be potentially explained by us ordering a pizza split in two styles with them cooking the entire pizza evenly versus what is needed for each ingredient. We finished the entire pizza between the two of us, but I could see someone having some leftovers. If possible, they might want to do some minor pest management. The entire time of our visit a fruit fly or gnat was hovering around us and the food. We tried to catch it and protect the food, only for it to ultimately take a permanent dip in my water. My overall assessment was that it was a good place to try in the city. It's not something I would crave, but I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was in the area.
