My visits to Bowcutt Dental are always pleasant and a breeze to get on the books when I need a schedule! Which is insane to me when I am talking about a dentist! All the hygienists that I have been met with upon each teeth cleaning appointment have been so pleasant, professional and friendly to work with as I have sometimes struggled with my mouth care, but they have always had kind words and patience and the fact that my neighbor referred me to them, and has been going to them for decades now is amazing and a testament to the loyalty and service that is impeccable when speaking on a local dentist that is less than a 5 min drive from our house! Dr. Bowcutt is also extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and when receiving any information from him, I always feel like he is extra helpful and valuable in giving me practical guidance and not upselling me on things. Which is amazing! I also recently referred my husband to pop over here after he had such severe mouth/jaw pain after Thanksgiving and had to go to urgent care and turns out he had a tooth abscess. He was able to get seen immediately and they were able to accommodate him as a new patient! That's unheard of! My husband's previous dentist he chose, Buttercup Dental, down the street (which we both got confused with for half the last year thinking we had been going to the same dental office ha!) didn't seem to care/ wasn't able to make the scheduling happen until later in the week. I also was able to get my fixed retainer rebonded, in and out, and at a practical price instead of having to go to an orthodontist who would've charged ridiculous prices. 58 yrs old and this is my 10th dentist ever. By far and away the best I've ever had, and I'm fairly particular about people who put sharp tools in my mouth. Their operations are excellent. Well organized, very skilled, and extremely kind. Their dental hygenists who do the cleaning are just excellent. Respectful, gentle, and yet thorough. And very kind. Dr. Bowcutt is just great, in skill and personally. He never wastes time or money on excess procedures, and yet knows how to prioritize most important treatments. He's kind, but candid about what is needed, and how the teeth are doing, ie, how my hygiene is working. Their scheduling is a breeze, and they get you in quickly if anything urgent comes up. They handle insurance flawlessly, and I found out they have a heart to help people in financial stress as well. I'm a retired hygienist. I've been looking for a dental office near my neighborhood and hadn't found one yet...until now. From the moment I called to make the initial appointment with Cori, until the last tooth was polished, it was a great experience. Cori explained how my insurance would work and made sure I didn't have any questions about it. When an earlier appointment became available, Cori sent me a text and I was able to be seen a few weeks earlier than expected! Darlene was the assistant who started my appointment off by getting all the x-rays, intra-oral pictures with a digital camera, and vital signs done. I appreciated her efficiency with the x-rays because the sensors are uncomfortable for me sometimes. Emily was my hygienist. It had been awhile since my last cleaning so I knew there was an area behind my lower front teeth (I have a retainer) that was going to be a challenge. Tartar is like a hard cement and when embedded around a metal retainer, can be difficult to remove. Emily had all the tools and tricks to get the job done without overexerting pressure on my jaw or teeth. I didn't leave the office with a headache or jaws hurting (I've had jaw surgery in the past so it's difficult to keep my mouth open for long periods of time). Emily let me take breaks when I needed and the cleaning went well! She was thorough yet light-handed when she was measuring the gum pockets. Dr. Bowcutt finished the appointment by doing his exam and going over the x-rays and pictures with me. Even though I didn't need any dental work done, I wasn't pressured to buy fancy toothbrushes, a night guard, or teeth whitening system either. I did ask if he offered in office teeth whitening vs. take home trays. He said he did and most of his patients do the take home trays...so again, no high pressure sales of the more expensive in office option. I like that! The overall feeling I got from interacting with the various staff members was this is a well put together team of professionals who love helping patients take care of their health. As far as the atmosphere of the clinic, it was relaxed, cozy, and clean. It had a good vibe. read more

Scammers of the worst kind. The dental staff that actually works on your teeth are great, it's the front desk staff that are ruining this practice for the dentist. They scam you into coming in saying they take your insurance when in reality they charge more than necessary for preventative services so they can get a payment both out of you and the insurance. Beware bait and switch! I called the office ahead of time to make sure both my boyfriend and my routine cleanings were covered giving them my insurance information (good insurance mind you) in which I was told by the front desk preventive is covered at 100%. We are quite hygentic and it was simple routine cleaning with xrays. A couple weeks later we recieved a bill for almost $200! We thought the bill had been a mistake and miscalculated so we called front desk to find out why we recieved a bill if it was to be covered at 100% by the insurance. This is when their true colors shined. I was truly stunned how rude and and cold the billing lady was. (I wish I could remember her name off the top of my head). She wouldn't even listen to what I had to say nor did she give me a good explanation as to why we received a bill. Don't tell your patients what they want to hear just to get them in your office! I would've most definitely made an appointment another office had I known my insurance didn't actually cover 100% of your fees! read more
