I wanted to get some cut flowers to take home and arrange myself (I worked in my father's floral shop prior to moving to MA). I had shopped around at multiple grocery stores without finding cut flowers that matched the quality and price I was looking for. Everything was either of poor quality or way too expensive for the type of stems I was looking at. What I purchased: I bought (3) stems of pink lilies, (3) snapdragon stems and (5) alstromeria stems. The florist threw in some eucalyptus greens and other filler (I assume for free), wrapped it in decorative paper and plastic, then finished it off with a bow. Price: $34, including tax. This is slightly higher than what I was looking to pay for loose cut flowers, but the quality has proven worth it. I've had the flowers for about a week, and have had multiple lily blooms open. Staff: the florist/shop owner was very polite, great conversationalist. I did have to wait a few minutes until she got back because the woman who was working there did not know how to charge for and wrap the floral items. My only recommendation is to have someone present (during business hours) who can do simple loose cut bouquets (not even arrangements). Everyone was super polite and made me feel at home. As a note, getting into the parking lot can be a bit of a hassle as the cross-traffic never seems to stop. Overall, a great place for a bouquet of flowers, either for a special occasion or just a pick-me-up for the day.

There was a lovely woman working inside who was happy to share her knowledge of all things Titanic. It is a small space but packed full of artifacts. We stayed about 1/2 hour. It represents the life work of one man (the current owner's brother) who developed an interest in the Titanic as a teenager and started writing to the survivors. The collection is of the ship (with White Star Line china, banners, documentation of the discovery) as much as it is about the survivors (with items from the journal one woman had with her in the lifeboat to one woman's frog) and pop culture (the man was was a background character in THE movie). It is $4 to see the collection, but if you're interested in the Titanic or just want to see what a life's work can look like, it's a once in a lifetime experience.

I believe this closes at sunset but I've been out here at sunrise and it's been pretty quiet until 9:30 am or so. There are a few walking trails and the docks/front of the boathouse (the cement areas) do flood during heavy rain. Definitely a Glastonbury community symbol... :) Lots of kids fishing on the dock/by the river. Playground on the premises & then the Glastonbury parks and rec manages the fields behind the clubhouse. I've been here when there was a wedding and it seemed intimate and romantic. I'm a big fan of this spot!

We had…read morea hard time picking some of the songs we wanted incorporated in our wedding and he was so patient as we made up our minds, even though it was past the due date he had originally given us. The dance floor at our wedding was filled the entire night with people of all generations. Guests have commented that it was the one of the most lively dance floors they had seen at a wedding and that the music felt hand-picked for them. I would gladly hire Tony again for future events.

Yes really. Anyway, the schedule got kind of messed up. TC's did their best despite the circumstances, and everything turned out wonderful. Let me start by saying that Marx Entertainment provided both DJ services and Photo Booth services…read morefor our wedding. We were very unhappy with the DJ but happy with the Photo Booth set up and staff. My husband and I had DJ Craig for our wedding in September 2023. We had two meetings with him beforehand were we discussed how we would like the night to run. In addition to a list of "must-play" songs (something we were encouraged to complete), we discussed how we would like our table-dash, anniversary dance, alumni photo, and private dance to operate. We also noted on multiple occasions during both calls that we DID NOT want a lot of remixes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how DJ Craig managed all of these aspects except for the table dash and private dance. Here is where our issues lie: - Out of our 30 or so must play songs maybe half were played. - As laid out on the Marx Entertainment website we chose a "last song" for the dance floor. DJ Craig played the song we designated as our last song as a way to open the dance floor. - The first 30 minutes were exclusively remixes and bad ones at that. It got to the point where we said something to DJ Craig, and while the music did get better, he still continued to play remixes. Honestly, a Spotify playlist would have been better. - The anniversary dance was something DJ Craig suggested and we loved the idea. However, instead of doing what he had described to us where he starts calling people off the dance floor after some dancing and starting with short time increments, DJ Craig called for anyone married for less than 5 years to leave the dance floor after approximately 20 seconds. People hadn't even REACHED the dance floor to start dancing at that point, including the parents of the groom. Not to mention we are a young couple and that kicked more than half of the people off the dance floor in one sweep. - College alumni photo was announced at a very weird time and very rushed. Just felt awkward - We were immediately asked once the lights turned on to provide a positive video review for DJ Craig. This was extremely uncomfortable and we gave dishonest feedback during it. We would NOT recommend him. Like I said previously, the Photo Booth staff was excellent and we loved the book they made us. We also had no issues with booking or prior communication with Marx. While the set up and logistical execution of the event went well we didn't feel our opinions were considered at all in song selection and that the fun mini-events we had throughout the night went poorly
