Beautiful location for bowling! My husband and I traveled from the Bronx to come bowling for my friend's 40th birthday. She has never been bowling before and this is a great place for a first timer. It's modern and very beautiful. Staff here is very nice and helpful. I booked this reservation last week and yes it is pricy but well worth the experience in my opinion. When we arrived, there was a guy checking bags and you go through a metal detector. There was also a girl that checked us in and told us we were in lane 6. We got upstairs, used the bathroom and got our shoes. I'm normally a 7-7.5 and the 7 fit perfectly. My husband is a 9.5-10 and he got a 10 which also fit great. I love that we had our own section and the menus were already there. We got a round of drinks and a sampler platter. It had mini mozz sticks, tenders, wings, pretzels and fries. Everything was delicious. There was a manager hanging around making sure things ran smoothly and our server came by to check in a few times. We bowled from 7-9 finishing our game around 8:57 and then went to look around the arcade. I used the bathroom before leaving and i will say it was surprisingly very clean. Our experience bowling and our waiter were just fine. He was attentive and brought out drinks fast. The food was your typical bowling alley food but good. I booked a birthday party online about a month in advance. Not sure why no one could find my reservation. The staff were using pieces of paper to look up reservations, and they all had different pieces of paper apparently. I had to mention my reservation twice - upstairs and downstairs and it took them at least 5-10 minutes to locate it, even when I showed them my confirmation email. The weird thing is, they were set up for the party with food and a welcome sign once we got to the lane. It seems like the front of house is not communicating with the back of house. This experience of checking in was annoying and could have gone better. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday, and we had a fantastic time! We took advantage of one of their package promos, which included bowling shoes, mini burgers, and a tower of domestic beer. Everything was delicious and made for a great value. We had a blast bowling, although our lane had a small hiccup when the pins got stuck and wouldn't reset. Thankfully, the manager handled the situation professionally and kindly gave us a free game to make up for the inconvenience, which we really appreciated. If you love bowling and hanging out with your friends, this is the place to go. Located on 44th st in Times Square, this place has it all for entertainment. There are an insane amount of lanes, an arcade, full service bar and good food. I came here with my wife and a friend and paid for 2 hours of bowling. We were able to play 4 games of bowling, ordered the appetizer sampler that came with a ton of finger food options(all delicious) and I had 2 blue Long Island iced teas. Have actually been here about 7 or 8 times so far. Excellent experience with the bowling. Different areas I did go to for bowling. Upstairs area is okay, like lane 26 or so it is just okay. I did however love that area like Lane 29 (rush to me that was the most fun area). I would rather come here again sort of this Lane 29 area. It was pretty easy to get the bowling shoes on the main floor, and the arcade is nice as well. They had a few decent games , not just a place overall for little kids only. I did order food before here while doing the two hours bowling time. The pretzel burger was way too salty, I wish I ordered just a plain burger without the salty bacon and just salty pretzel bun. Pizza did look good here, might have to try next time. I had just a regular whiskey and ginger ale drink here as well. It was enjoyable. The 2 hour window was just enjoyable and just enough time for three people to play three full games and a partial fourth game ( in that 2 hour window including time to eat). It definitely worked out well. I recommend coming here to this location, not sure about the queens one or anything but this one seems nice to visit. Went here for a corporate event on a weekday. It was unseasonably warm that day, so the nearby streets were jam packed with people. Once we arrived, had our bags checked and told to pour out our water bottles- which was interesting. Never before have I been asked to pour out my water bottle before entering a bowling alley, so I'm assuming a lot of people try to bring in their own liquor here? No need for that though, the drinks here are very good. The venue was very spacious with a huge arcade in the inside. As far as food, the cauliflower "wings" had great flavor and texture- highly recommend the Garlic Parmesan. It did get a bit hot near the lanes, but management was super responsive and turned the air up. Would recommend as a fun outing or work team builder. read more

Extremely disappointed with Lucky Strike and how poorly this was handled today, Feb 7. We came in to use a 2-hour Groupon for 4 people. Before arriving, we called around 2 PM (and I have phone proof). The woman who answered explicitly told us that as long as we joined the waitlist before 6 PM, we would be fine for the full 2 hours. When we arrived and checked in, the story suddenly changed. The staff told us they could only honor our Groupon from 4:38-5:30 because they had a party booked afterward. When we explained what we were told on the phone, we were flat-out told that "the other person didn't know what they were talking about." Honestly--why hire staff who don't know basic policies and then make customers pay for it? We asked to speak with a manager and were refused. We were with our nieces who are 14 and 12 and visiting from out of town, so rather than ruin the moment for them, we reluctantly agreed to ~50 min--even though we had already paid for 2 full hours. Then it got worse. At 5:20, they shut off our lane completely and told us it had to be turned off for another group. When we went back to the front desk, they repeated that they needed to "get ready for another party" and that there was nothing they could do. In total, we bowled for about 40 minutes on a 2-hour Groupon. This was a complete failure in communication, customer service, and management. No accountability, no effort to fix the situation, and zero care shown to customers--especially kids. This experience genuinely ruined our day. What makes this even more frustrating is that we're from NYC and have hosted multiple corporate events at Lucky Strike locations in the past. After this experience, I would seriously reconsider ever returning or recommending this place. Terrible management. Poorly trained staff. No customer care whatsoever. read more

Came here a few weeks ago for a holiday party, with about 10 lines reserved on the 4th floor. However the negatives overshadowed the positives and overall I wouldn't recommend for a large event. Upon arrival you take stairs then an elevator up to the floors with bowling lanes. Exiting the elevator there was coat check around the corner to the left, an arcade area then the shoe rental counter in front to the left. Staff was prompt and courteous at the shoe rental counter, asked for our sizes and passed shoes to us quickly, my group managed to find a lane, grab food and set up our electronic bowling scorecard on the screen. While none of us happened to be particularly stellar, the game was fun. The facilities were well-maintained and colorfully decorated overall and the space was sufficient for our group. That was where the positives ended. What I (and others when I got feedback after the event), felt was lackluster from least disappointing to most: - food: we were served mostly pizza (plain, pepperoni, and buffalo chicken), soft pretzel pieces, meatballs in marinara sauce. Some cookies were available as well. The meatballs and pretzel pieces were pretty decent, the pizza was a bit less than average. - layout of the lanes for a very large group: wasn't conducive for mingling or service because between the lanes and the wall behind the lanes, there were counters where food was placed, then only about four feet of space which also served as a walkway, so staff had to thread thru multiple people picking up food or trying to have conversations as they came up and down the walkway. No separate bar or food service area. - drinks setup: there was wine served at the event though only a 3-4 bottles placed out at a time, at each of three high bar tables behind the bowling lanes which a) wasn't enough for 150 people, b) didn't come setup with enough glasses, bc there wasn't enough space on the high tables for that many glasses, c) the second round of glasses were brought out about 10 minutes after the second round of wine came, so anyone that didn't already have a glass basically had to wait until those with glasses already poured a second glass. - service: the staff wasn't rude per se, but it clearly felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave. In the middle of the event while we were bowling, with five of us sitting at the head of the lane with plates and glasses mostly filled, staff came over twice within 10 minutes and tried to take our plates and glasses, and we had to tell them no. When we stepped away mid-game for the raffle announcements, we came back to our lane with everything cleared away, really annoying because they obviously they weren't keeping track of our schedule of events and trying to be accommodating. Then while several lanes were wrapping up their bowling games, staff just rolled out the large garbage cans and started tossing all the leftover food. Way to rush us outta there. Was it really necessary to start cleaning up while more than half the attendees at our event were still there at 4:45pm? (Event was scheduled to end at 5pm.) Their opening hours are until 11pm on Tuesday nights. In general I might be willing to come back for bowling with a smaller group of several friends, but I surely wouldn't suggest having another large event here. read more

Came here for a work event after I suggested it and glad to say the team ran with it! Everyone had a great time overall. The setup was a big plus. We had a private section just for our group, which made it feel more intimate and organized. The space was clean and well-maintained. We had food and AYCE well drinks, beer, and other refreshments. The food was decent standard party fare like sliders, tenders, pizza, and mini pigs in a blanket (served as pretzel bites). The only downside was one of the lanes kept breaking down. We had to keep calling someone to reset it, and the response time wasn't the best. That part could definitely use improvement. Other than that, it was a fun, easy spot for a group outing. Came here this afternoon with my coworkers for a teambuilding event and what a blast it was. I haven't had this much fun in years. Mind you I haven't been bowling in ages, but that did not matter as we all had so much fun, bowling and cheering each other on. The place is so warm and inviting, and the music was pumping, but in a good way. They had a nice array of bite-size apps, but like someone else here said, it was substantial. A few of the offerings were cauliflower bites, mozzarella bites, chicken skewers, and a lot more. Then for dessert, they put out cake pops, and assorted cookies. Pleasantly surprised by the space, food quality and cocktail assortment. Came here for a fun, fundraising event and right away I was surprised by how large and clean (keep in mind, we're talking about a bowling alley in Times Square) the space is. Lots of bowling lanes and spaces so they can host more than 1 party at a time. The food really was surpassingly yummy and substantial. Wines and beers were included with our package but I spent extra out of pocket to get cocktails instead-- I mean, you know it's gonna be cheap wine, which is terrible; cheap beer is less "painful" I imagine... but I don't drink beer so I wouldn't know! I think I can count the number of times I have been bowling in my life on one hand. Same goes for the number of times I have gone to times square after moving to New York. Nonetheless, when my best friend asks to go bowling on a weeknight after work, I guess I'm doing both. I think Lucky Strike ownership here is new, but it used to be a Bowlero. On maps it still comes up as Bowlero FYI. You have to walk through one of the worst areas of NYC to get here, but once you're here it's actually pretty great. Walk in and go up the stairs to some elevators. The person at the front tells you which floor to go to. We reserved a lane the day prior and it was about $35 pp for 2 hours and shoes. The inside is clean and people come take your drink/food orders. Had a blue moon and was pretty surprised it was draft bc i expected a bottle lol. Not sure why I have such low expectations of times square (jk). The lanes arent all in one row its split up around the building which I liked because it felt more intimate. Cute decor that represent areas of NYC as well. Hate to say it but I may find myself here again. They have specials for unlimited bowl etc. on the website as well! read more

I went to lucky strike on Saturday afternoon and had the WORST EXPERIENCE, with TWO men that were managers!!!! When we first got seated to our lanes, the lights weren't working where the bowling pins were, so had to tell someone and they moved us to another lane, cool. We're at the new lanes and we're having trouble with the kiosk to order food and drinks, it wasn't reading anyone's card. I then go up to the bar and wait, because no one was there for a while, and then a manager comes. I explained I wanted to order two drinks and I'll wait until he's done to take the drinks back with me he said that's fine. Now another male manager comes up to me and ask what I'm having I tell him, & then let him know I already told the other guy. He still proceeds to make my drink and then comes up to me an says he needs to see two ids for me to receive it, I give him mine in the midst of telling him when I ordered my drinks downstairs no one carded us and made a big deal about the other person being present to receive the drink. I then ask if I can just pay for the two drinks and the person who the drink is for will come to the bar with his id (he wasn't answering his phone when I called him) and he can make his drink then, I just wanted to pay because I was treating someone, he turns and slams my drink in the back like "no id, no drink..." mind you I showed him my i.d for my drink so why wouldn't he give it to me. So I asked him why was he being a dick, giving me an attitude and I showed what he asked for and was going to pay. The other manager steps in like I can just go back to the lanes and order from there and I'm trying to tell him it's not working. The "Dick manager" pours my drink in the sink and walks away stating, now u won't be drinking anything. My other friend walks upon this scenario to check on me because it's obviously taking me a while to come back to the group & she's now explaining why we have to come up to the bar to order because we can't order from the lanes. The guy walks back to the lanes to reset the kiosk, TWICE, & it still didn't work. He never came back to check up on us, so we were a big hungry and thirsty group, minus the 1 drink we had downstairs while we waited before we were seated. I also felt they treated us badly with not a care was because we used a Groupon so beware, you may be saving a little money but you won't save on a BIG HEADACHE from the ones who should be setting a proper example on costumer service read more
