First time going today. Met some friends who I haven't seen in awhile. FYI -you can make reservations which was helpful. If you're seated at a table, know that there are hooks under the table for purses or caps. I really wanted to try their French toast but opted for the chilaquiles with panko chicken -yummm delicious. Did not regret. Our food came out fast for there being 4 of us. Perfect portions.Service was attentive and courteous. The staff wears cute shirts which are available to buy. Pulled up for Saturday Brunch with the crew! Started with a scrumptious cookies and cream latte-- not too sweet, and so cute! For my main, I had the scramble bowl with chicken sausage. Just a classic breakfast bowl--not really impressive, the mushrooms held the most flavor and were the star of the show. Unpopular opinion here but this is more of an "It" restaurant than actually good food. The food is totally good but nothing special. You need to make reservations for sure. Service is average. There are a ton of staff running around doing their best but it is not a relaxing environment. Cute modern decorations to solidify the "It" effect. read more

This has to be the cutest brunch spot in San Antonio. The interior decorator was on to something here. I visited this location on a Sunday afternoon before my flight. The place was packed and the wait time was 45 mins. Luckily, someone was leaving from the bar so I was able to get a seat immediately. I ordered the doughnuts to start and they were good. My entree option was the breakfast sandwich with the chicken and a side of fries. It was delicious and humongous! I couldn't finish it all. My friend got the cubano which apparently was over seasoned. Another friend got the chilaquiles with hot fried chicken and he said that was good. I suppose this might be one of the cuter brunch places in terms of aesthetics. And lots of choices on the menu so maybe something else might've been better. The hot fried chicken was delicious, but I wish the chips had way more sauce on them. The egg was perfectly cooked on top. The ube latte was top notch and delicious. Upon being seated, I let the gentleman know it was her birthday and asked if they do anything for birthdays and he said "yeah I got you" but we went the whole meal and nothing happened. A very nice brunch spot near the convention center. The donuts are exceptional, and make for a nice appetizer. Coffee isn't too bad either! The breakfast burrito was a true winner, so soft and fluffy and flavorful! The traditional breakfast was nice too, but came with way too many brussel sprouts! We were originally sat against the wall in a really weird spot, even though we had a reservation, but thankfully we were able to be moved once we asked. Amazing service today by sweet Sunny! Truly top notch attention to detail. I appreciate he brought my sons drink in a lidded cup. He is disabled, and it means a lot when someone sees his accessibility needs. The food was solid, and the decor is cute. On the femme side; but my daughter loved it. They even send your leftover champagne with you; which is a big plus for this tired mama. Water served European style; but they'll happily bring ice if requested. Ahhh, brunch in San Antonio. I have been to plenty of places, but none left me feeling as satisfied as The Box, named after that rap song from 2019. You walk in and it already has that "we came here to make bad decisions with mimosas" energy, which is the only proper way to do brunch. I was there with a hot date and the goal was simple. Bottomless vibes without breaking the bank. For around $35 to $40 we grabbed a bottle and that is money well spent. Mimosas are the official currency of brunch and here they pour them like they mean it. We sat at the bar top and the service was on point, quick with the pours and easy with the laughs. That set the tone right away. Now to the food. I hit the jackpot. My date was cool with sharing plates, which left us with more fun money for bottles. The crispy fried chicken came dressed in a sweet spicy glaze with sesame seeds and herbs. It could go toe to toe with wings from any pub in town. The brunch plate had sausages, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, eggs, and tomatoes. A spread that makes you forget what time of day it is. Somehow, somewhere between the food and the bottle, I do not exactly remember going home. What I do remember is this. It was a perfect Sunday or morning or whatever brunch technically qualifies as. I had modifications made to accommodate a dairy allergy, so my breakfast bowl isn't quite what yours will look like if you order it as is, but in sure it's even better as listed on the menu. The eggs were so fluffy and the tomatoes were perfectly roasted. I had a side of salsa to pair with my bowl anddddd I highly recommend the habanero one. It has great flavor and just the right making of kick to allow you to still enjoy your food, without chugging excessive amounts of water. I cannot remember the name of my drink, but it had tequila and OJ with a little cayenne pepper and was FABULOUS. I personally prefer this location over the La Cantera one, but I'm all about the OG for everything. Definitely give Box St a try if you haven't been. You deserve the treat! read more

This is the cutest spot ever. Very girly, very fun. Service was great. I appreciate that vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free menu items were clearly labeled. It makes life so much easier! We ended up getting 2 bacon jam boy breakfast sandwiches for the table, added bacon to one. It was super tasty- really nice soft, fluffy bun. We also shared the not your moms key lime pie donut. They are really into THICK here. Super thick bread for the French toast and super thick hasbrowns on the sandwich (which, by the way, I did not understand would be ON the sandwich.
