A friend and I were downtown coming from brunch, she recommended this super cute Riverwalk bar. Staff amazing! Drinks tasty!

I was looking for a quick but authentic meal and I am so glad I stumbled upon Lo Cura. It was delicious, affordable and super cute place tucked under the bridge away from tourists. Service was great too. Summer and Ember were so helpful and walked me through the whole menu of food and made sure my meal and drinks were exactly what I wanted. I will definitely come back!

Great spot for grabbing a drink to go on the Riverwalk. The Moscow mule was really good, strong ginger flavor, but the ranch water was just fine.

Lo Acura is a cool bar under a bridge on the Riverwalk. Fortunately not staffed by trolls they sling premade margs, local beers and funky treats. The highlight of our visit was the Frito Pie which comes in a handy cardboard basket. My main gripe is a lack of transparent pricing as there are none listed on the menu board behind the bar. Prices for beers and food are slightly above average costing around $10 for a domestic tall boy and same for the Frito Pie.

Really cool bar (especially at night with their neon lights) under one of the bridges on the riverwalk. Great spot to grab a drink and sit and enjoy the riverwalk views or walk around (open containers allowed)! They also have misters to help you cool off on a hot day. They offer touch screen ordering and Cecilia made our drinks super quick! I got the Bad life choices frozen cocktail and it was very different than most frozen drinks I've had. I really liked the watermelon flavor paired with the rose. It was great on a hot day! My husband got a margarita and also enjoyed it.

Spiced cucumber with tajin rim....and a tropical vacation. Sooooo fresh tasting not that mixed crap everywhere else makes you.

Cindy and Ember are absolutely amazing! We did a family vacation and stayed on the riverwalk. We came across this place underneath the bridge right on the water...seriously it's AMAZING. Stop and get a drink, you won't find a better one anywhere on the river and the service is outstanding!!!! Will definitely be back when I'm in Texas again.

Hesitant to post because I wanna gate keep the BEST place on the Riverwalk! But--I can't! Love love love Lo Cura! Drinks were absolutely the best, literally San Antonio culture in a cactus, or cup . The Frito pie w/ barbacoa is a first and it was the BEST. Cecil the chef....... Super cool dude, very personable and truly enjoys the art of SA cuisine. The bartender Sam--girls girl for sure! She was sooo sweet and made me the best drink ever!!!! The bar is on the river..literally under the bridge on the RIVER!

Great spot on the river walk! We went on a Friday night and the service was quick! Cindy was super helpful and makes an amazing drink!! I love the colorful menu! We got the fruit cup and the walking al pastor taco and it was sooooo good! My husband loved his spicy cucumber marg and my siesta or spritz was delish! 10/10 will be back!!!

    Mule and Summer Year Round

My husband and I went here with a couple of friends in the evening to enjoy some drinks next to the riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. The location was a nice area tucked away under the bridge where you can appreciate the passing boat rides. There are bar stools lining the bar area as well as more seating area next to the bar if you prefer a table with chairs to congregate. There are wall fans to help air circulation, given the location. The music was enjoyable which set the mood for vibing with your friends or family. I enjoyed my drink, the Summer Year Round. I added tajin to the rim. It was tasty. I do wish there was more alcohol in the drink though for the price. (I prefer my drinks a little more stout though.) My husband wasn't a fan of the mule. One of our friends had the Coco-A-GoGo and they raved about it, so it must've been fantastic. They enjoyed the dehydrated pineapple slice and the sweetness of the drink. Tip: If you take a boat ride and save your receipt, I saw a sign there at the bar that stated you can a get a 10% discount by presenting it. Our problem was that we used the touchscreen to order and I didn't get my discount (Lol), so I think you need to get more details on how that works.

What a cute little walk up bar right on the Riverwalk. We stopped here on a hot, humid Texas afternoon for some boozy popsicles! Make sure to visit this on your walk of the river!

Drinks were super tasty and cold for the hot days! The fans were blowing with the breeze and lots of tourist on river barges passing by!! Happy waves the whole time seeing our wonderful city!! Will come back again to be a friendly tourist!

Visiting San Antonio this past weekend and found a cool new walk up bar on the Riverwalk. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and great recommending cocktails. SHOUTOUT to Cindy, Sam and Cecil, you guys rock! A perfect spot for grabbing a drink and people watch. Located conveniently right next to the Canopy Hilton hotel on the River.

We stumbled upon this small bar in the riverwalk. Fantastic cocktails and Samantha was a delight to talk to behind the counter. All fresh made ingredients so try the jalepeno cucumber margaritas.

Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate. Bang Bang Bar has long been one of my favorite bars in town, and after this night, that reputation is more than earned. Can't wait to do another Moz Smiths Disco here. -- Panic On The Streets of San Antonio

Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. (See update above to this review for when we returned the next night for after dinner drinks.)
