The small, plain, unfancy 'Boynton Pizza' sign, in black and white, beckoned from Boynton Beach Boulevard. Peeking into the plaza, I could see the store matched the sign. Please don't take this personally, Boynton Pizza, but this storefront had a 'hole in the wall' feel. And that's my kind of pizza place, where sometimes the best surprises can be found. There is a reason why a line of people stood outside waiting. The inside area for ordering is so small! This store is almost all kitchen with very little separation between kitchen and ordering. No problem here - all the kitchen work is open and on display. Presumably this is why people were standing outside to wait. The staff was friendly. Paying and ordering was simple. I ordered 2 pepperoni slices (no one else in my family likes pepperoni, so this is an indulgence when ordering slices solo) and then threw on some garlic rolls. I didn't wait very long until it was ready. The garlic rolls were piping hot and insanely dripping with chopped garlic everywhere. Such a generous amount! This place is amazing!! Their eggplant pizza is absolutely to die for. Everything is fresh and homemade and the staff are really nice. You might have to wait for a little bit as they're very busy, but it is sooo worth it. I travel from way down south and always have to stop by! Boynton pizza Great small pizza shop on boynton blvd. the owner was friendly and is working hard along with what seemed to be his friend or relative. He has the one bite picture of him and Dave portnoy displayed proudly in the restaurant behind the counter. Order a large cheese with extra sauce. Crust was thin and crispy, sauce was good although extra seemed like it was a normal amount, and the cheese was good but a bit greasy. Overall it was a good pizza just like portnoy said and I also like that the owner is front and center working hard and taking pride in his business. In addition to the large pizza we got a Sicilian slice. There was plenty of cheese and a nice crisp to the crust but the crust had a deep fryer taste and the cheese tasted old. Stick to the ny style. If you are in the area or close by, come here for the ny style pizza and you won't be disappointed. read more

This place is a small pizza shop located in a small plaza in Boynton Beach, Florida. I ordered the 2 slices with a can soda lunch special. The line extended outside of the pizza joint, but the 10 minute wait was definitely worth it. The pizza slices were hot and fresh. I love a pizza that isn't too greasy but still has flavor! HORRIBLE experience last night. After picking up a pizza I ordered, I called to explain that there was barely any sauce and it was dry, so they told me to bring it back. I was polite on phone, and said I would appreciate anything they could do. We order from them all the time and normally never have an issue. I made this clear to them we usually always love their pizza. The guy who made my pizza (big guy who always wears a cap) came around the corner to look at the pizza, instantly got upset because we brought it back with the cheese lifted. I explained of course we inspected it to see if there was sauce since it was so dry. After all I did pay nearly $19 for it (which he replied "well that's not my fault"). He continued to yell at me and make a whole scene in front of all staff AND customers because I brought it back like that. He got defensive and continued to berate me over this pizza, showed me other pies and to try and make a point about sauce. I reiterated that I am not trashing their pizza, we order from here all the time but we simply couldn't eat it because it was dry. Everyone in the back had stopped working to watch and the owner I assume (big guy with glasses) just stood there the entire time and did not say a thing. I had remained calm and was not rude. NO ONE apologized or told the one yelling to stop making a scene and humiliating me to the point I cried. The whole experience was degrading. All they had to say was "I'm sorry about that, here's your pizza". Extremely unprofessional. Do NOT go here and give these people your money as this is how they treat their PAYING customers, no respect. Awful. read more

Ordered honey barbecue chicken wings and when I received it I expected it to be nasty because the sauce wasn't of "normal" barbecue sauce color.
