Stopped into Alfa Pizzeria for lunch. Service was fast and attentive from the moment we sat down. To be fair, it wasn't very busy, but everyone was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself is a little dated, but it's comfortable. With the full bar and TVs throughout, it has more of a casual neighborhood sports bar vibe than a traditional pizzeria. We ordered a large pizza, well done, and they got it right. The crust was crispy without being burnt, and the pizza was cooked exactly as requested. We needed to order food the night before thanksgiving for dinner as we didn't want to cook more that day. My friend found this place by looking up a decent place to order from that was still open at 9pm and taking orders. This is when we found Alfa Pizzeria. We called and asked if it was too late to order as it was only 1 hour before closing time and we were going to be coming from half an hour away. To our pleasant surprise they said they could take our order and we finished ordering half an hour before they closed. Even knowing we would be there 5 mins before closing, they were very kind and accommodating. We ordered a large margarita pizza, and a large pepperoni pizza, both of which were fresh, had the right amount of cheese to sauce, to meat ratio, and had amazing flavor. We also ordered one chicken Parmesan sub and had a special request for a shrimp Parmesan sub too not on the menu, which they kindly created just for us. The chicken was moist and fresh and the marinara sauce was delicious! There was a generous amount of cheese on both as well. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were fresh as well. My brother and sister who ordered the subs said that the flavor was just perfect. I ordered the penne alla vodka pasta, and believe me when I say this is the best penne alla vodka pasta I've had in a VERY long time. The portion was extremely generous for the price; enough for me to have 3 servings, 2 extra for later days (yes it holds up well for leftovers too). The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce flavor was outstanding! A perfect blend of cream and red sauce with just the right amount of garlic and spices. The garlic knots were even amazing. They were soft, had a generous portion of garlic but not too much, a good amount of Parmesan and herbs as well. We picked up the food so I can't say too much about the ambience other than that the restaurant decor was cool and the restaurant clean. The people were the kindest of all, thanking us continuously, and even giving me a pint of extra sauce when they heard I liked extra sauce on my pasta. TLDR: All in all the food was excellent, the service impeccable, and all in a little pizza shop in a random plaza. I would come back here a million times over; this is my new favorite Italian/pizza place, even half an hour away! read more

A little gem. I NEVER give pizzerias five stars because THEY ARE NOT FIVE STAR ESTABLISHMENTS! However, based on the extremely amazing experience and service I have to award Alfa 5 stars. The service was superior; far better than the fancy "upscale" place where I dropped twice as much money for half as much food. Can't wait to try the pizza. You guys...this place is so good!!!! Such a hole in the wall type of restaurant. I never would have expected it to be so yummy. Super casual laid back restaurant but the food shocked me! The penne vodka is SOO comforting, rich, and satisfying. The meals come with garlic rolls, and choice of salad or soup. Alfa was okay and really all about the average and when factoring in the reasonable prices it's not a bad choice for basic no frills type of food in a non pretentious setting. We tried several items and no one is going to mistake this pizza for NYC pizza (Bronx guy here) as the ingredients and prep were lacking in quality and execution. Thankfully the entrees though were better than the pizza. The pasta was not exactly gourmet but what compensated was the quality of the chicken in a Chicken Florentine entree and this was fine. Garlic Rolls were no good but an appetizer was okay. I wouldn't go out of the way for Alfa but I suppose if people live in East Boynton it would be a decent choice. read more

Don't let the exterior of this shopping center fool you! Their food is outstanding and consistent. Owners very hands-on and staff is friendly and efficient. They offer a full italian menu and of course, pizza! Last night I had the veal marsala over a bed of spinach again and it is always some of the best I've ever had! No kidding. Unfortunately not sure of under new management or ownership but ordered pizza for past 3 years and now got wrong pizza, hung up on 4 times and had to drive to location just to get refunded and basically they didn't care about the business or custom service..... lost customer and local referral for LIFE.
