I didn't know they had a location here but I learned through their yelp event. I came on my own and I'm not part of the event. Food was good and similar to the other location. The vibe is different as it's not nearly as busy. The pizza was good and it's a sour dough so it's a bit better than regular dough. Not gluten free but a good choice for gluten sensitive tummies. Worth a stop if you're driving through the area or at Bethesda hospital. It's not too far.

The sourdough crust really makes a difference. All the flavor without the heavy feeling after eating a small pie. The pepperoni itself tasted amazing. When we mentioned how flavorful it was, the waitress went to the back to find out and let us know the name of the supplier. They are proud of the ingredients they use and they should be as it is reflected in the flavor of the pizza. Modern interior. Nice atmosphere. You can see the guys making your pizza fresh. I would say slightly elevated pricing compared to other places. Will def come back to try some other pies.

This a great place if you're looking for a unique twist on pizza. Great location for small gatherings as there is not much room. But I say just ask the staff their top picks, you can't go wrong. The staff is very attentive friendly and fast. Don't skip out on the wings either, the dip that comes with it is very fresh and pairs well.

Language not needed - pizza already speaks for itself :)

Food excellent. Service perfect. Ambiance chill. Really cute restaurant with great pizza. From the host Jaden, to our kind waitress Zureli and the manager Jacob who checked in on us, everything was perfect! The only thing that was a take away was the language on the menu, describing the pizza dough as "f*cking delicious". Yes, this statement is accurate but not needed...it takes away from the awesome experience. Additionally, there were kids in the restaurant and I wouldn't want to encourage that language for their eyes to see. Even though I don't agree with the language I wouldn't take away a star, because everything else was perfect! The pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted! And I will come back again. I thank this restaurant for their great service and truly delicious pizza!

We're going to start off with the service here. I think this is probably the best service we've had pretty much anywhere. Zureli the hostess was wonderful. It was our first time here and we tried the pistachio pizza and the pepperoni onion. Both were very very good. Will definitely be back.

This review is all personal preference. We were pretty excited to finally get to try this pizza restaurant. This restaurant is very close to our home and we have tried most of the pizza restaurants around the area (Mr. 01, cucina Moderna, blaze, Sal's and Anthony's). How ya Doughin and Anthony's was by far our least favorite, may be it's because the charred or burnt crust makes it bitter. Now, we did take out and didn't dine in so we couldn't tell how the service was but the lady (I think she might have been the manager) took our to go order and explained everything and helped us picked some of the pizzas. The restaurant looks very inviting and somewhat small but cozy. There was one other table sitting when I placed the order. We ordered one 12in cheese pizza, one 16in drunken ball (meatball ala vodka) pizza and a beet salad. The pizzas she did pointed out that the doughs are sourdough and made a little bit with burnt crust. The smaller cheese pizza I ordered less burnt and still my daughter didn't like the flavor (she did say Mr. 01 is much better and less greasy). The drunken ball pizza was regular and was pretty charred and a bit too bitter for our taste. The beet salad was great!! Plenty of beets and flavor was delightful and fresh!! Only one complaint about the drunken pizza was we ordered 16in and supposed to be cut into 6 or 8 slice cuts (couldn't remember but pizza that big should be 8) anyway, when we got home it was 6 irregularly cut slices (meaning 2 tiny slice, 2 medium sized slices and 2 super huge slices) I thought I was pretty funny. But anyway, if they're charging this price for pizzas, they should pay more attention to all detail aspects of the product being put out! Total for 3 items was $76! Our first experience at How Ya Doughin was just mid and could have been much better but was glad that we finally tried it.

Love that I found this spot! Delicious brick oven pizza. The dough was chewy and toppings superb! Yum!

I love this place. Fire Oven is unique. They also have specials, which I didn't know. We went for pizza, but they had a buy one get one meatball dinner, so we go that and 2 pizzas to take home. Both DELICIOUS. Very unique--I love the crust. Their spicy pizzas are REALLY SPICY (which I like) but know what you're getting. You can get your pizza anyway you like it but they have some special ones too. Highly recommend

The food was average to me. Nothing to write home about. Definitely more seasoning should be added and the wings were undercooked as well. When I bit into one it was still pink on the inside. I like that they change their menu monthly and offer new varieties of pizza to try'. We had a short wait and we had to ask our waiter to bring our utensils to us twice. It's pretty small in here though so you're seated very close to other customers and can heat their conversations. I would give them another try though just to see what variety of pizza will be available for the following month.

We made an impromptu stop here to get our pizza fix last night. On the drive home, we saw How Ya Dough'n and said why not?! There was a small crowd and we were seated right away when we walked in. The cheese and vodka pizzas were ordered. I mentioned to the waitress if we could do half and half on one pizza since the kids didn't want what the parents wanted...lol. It was stated it couldn't since one of them had no sauce and the other did. I mentioned it was alright and didn't think anything else about it. We were surprised when the staff surprised us with a meatball appetizer and cheesy garlic bread on the house. The staff overheard me asking about making the pizzas half and half. They were sorry they couldn't accommodate our request. Everything was delicious! The meatballs, bread, and pizzas were great. The staff was excellent with making sure we were happy with our food. There wasn't a long wait for the food and the friendly service didn't go unnoticed. Thanks for a nice dinner!

Sooo happy to finally have a good pizza spot close to home. I've been here a handful of times now to either eat in or pick up and all of the pizzas no matter what I've tried, have been consistently excellent. The dry rub wings are also top notch. I've also had their beet salad on occasion, which is unique and refreshing. Nice casual date night or week night choice, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice to order a bunch of pizzas to watch Sunday night football unless you want to rack up the bill..pizzas are a little pricy. But they don't disappoint!

Came on Friday at 11:30 am for some pizza. This is located in a new strip mall but very few stores are open to date. Slices are not sold. You must buy the 4 or 6 slice pies. Salads and various sandwiches as well as wings and meatballs are options too. Venue is decorated in industrial style and very clean. Single bathroom is very cute. Parking is easy in plaza lot. We had the OG pizza. We found it a bit too salty but they said it was because the mozzarella cheese is purchased locally and fresh and sometimes it comes that way. But it was delicious regardless and hit the spot. We will come back again.

    Do you sell slices?

No. They only sell pies no slices. Either a small pie or larger pie.

Do you have cauliflower pizza crust?

No, but they use a sourdough based crust which is healthier than regular pizza dough. It's a bit more tolerable to those with gluten sensitive diets but not for celiac disease.

Do they serve beer and wine?

They were pretty busy around 7PM on a Thursday but we were sat almost immediately and I started browsing their wide selection of choices in their menu. My boyfriend got the chicken Marsala and added mozzarella so it was a yummy smothered chicken and got some penne in his pastability. He got such a good deal considering he paid $25ish for a protein, pasta side, a salad and bread! You can't find deals like that now a days. The staff was very friendly and kept refilling our drinks consistently. The inside wasn't too loud and the booths are comfy to sit in. Pro tip: ask for extra dressing on the side to dip your bread in!

Going inside, the place was pretty packed and we were seated swiftly. The menu was pretty lengthy which tbh was a little overwhelming, but we finally managed to find something to order. For dinner we ordered 1x eggplant spinach rollatini with split pea soup and a caesar salad, and a 1x cheese ravioli with a breaded chicken cutlet also with split pea soup and a house salad. Moving on with my review; not gourmet by any means, but the food last night was palatable and great value given the cost too. For starters; all the apps that came out were solid! The garlic rolls were hot, had a crusty exterior, and plenty of that garlic butter to soak it up. Messy presentation, but the split pea soup had a rich, creamy, and smokey pea base; very tasty! The caesar salad had that creamy, tangy, and garlickly punch! Also, croutons tasted homemade. As for the entrees; the Eggplant Rollatini had the right flavors; solid amount of seasoned ricotta, spinach, cheese, but sauce was cold. The cheese ravioli I don't believe was homemade, but it tasted alright. Sauce wasn't very hot, but chicken cutlet tasted fresh! Moreover, despite my criticism above; the service was on point. Overall, It was again an enjoyable experience and would give Mamma Mia Boynton 4/5 stars.

They're busy year round, and during season the wait can easily be over an hour, so I avoid going then. But the food is always good, portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, so clearly people are willing to wait. They offer a year-round Sunset Menu, which saves you a few dollars and includes either a soda or iced tea. You do need to be seated by 5:30 to take advantage of it. Dinners include soup AND salad and your choice of plain or garlic rolls. I usually take my soup home for another meal, as it's a lot of food. On my last visit, I had the chicken & eggplant parmesan combo, and it was excellent. It came with a side of spaghetti which I added some extra sauce. Both the soup and salad were very good. Portions in general are quite large, and I had enough leftovers for two more days. My girlfriend and I shared a large piece of almond cake that was really good. I'm always happy to support family-owned and operated businesses, especially ones that have been serving the community for so many years.
