I was charged for the MD State Inspection, but it failed. Reasons, given, brake pads were too low (but the mechanic here at the shell did say they were close to being unacceptable) PLUS the never fail (always fail and inspection) the windshield wipers, which also had passed the inspection at the other mechanic I went to before purchasing the vehicle. Long story short, this place wanted to charge me $300 for the brake pad replacement + $80 for the wipers. He said the wipers failed because per the MD state inspection, the wipers should be able to go back and forth 5 times without smudging. I had visually inspected the wipers, no cracks or dry rot. I also did this test of his and I was able to get smooth clean results after letting them run for 10 times back and forth. Bottom line, the BP across the street seems to be more honest. I would recommend going there for any mechanical issues. As far as the prices of the gas go, if you have Giant rewards, then of course use them here ;-)

The Cashier is from Baltimore and he says all the Royal Farms locations have panhandlers which is a false statement. Many of the Royal Farms are in locations good for panhandlers. The two northbound gas stations before the beltway. Have a better price for gas. I would welcome royal farms, chicken tenders, and coffee.

When I finished picking up a few items (Tilia wine for $7.77!) I walked back over and my oil was changed and my tires were rotated. All for $21.99*! You want to love these guys and their quaint classic location. You walk in and there are always a…read morecouple of guys sitting around giving you a Mayberry feeling. Unfortunately only one mechanic can actually diagnose and repair your car, despite 4-6 employees being onsite. As a result it often takes 24 hours or more to get an estimate and even longer to get even a simple job completed. Also be careful with their billing. The three times that I tried out their services they always add on a few hundred more than the dealer. But they were convenient to my house. The third time was a charm and the end to my relationship when they misdiagnosed an issue, charged me well over a $1000 and didn't fix the issue. When I made the road trip to the dealer to rectify the problem. The dealer said it would have only cost $800 at the dealership. Fortunately the dealer fixed the issue. When I went back and cross referenced their past bills I saw they had charged an average of 20% above the cost that I could buy the same exact parts for from multiple local parts sources, and they likely source the parts for below retail being a mechanical provider. Also it is very difficult to get ahold of your assigned service representative. Seems like they are always out to lunch. Hopefully the business can turn the corner. It is a great location.

Use caution at these pumps, there is something not right here. Went to complain to the cashier and he told me that I had selected premium. I never put premium into my old truck and I especially would not do it in this expensive neighborhood.
