Terrible service. Our server was careless and completely lacking in basic hospitality. He kept reaching across the table while we were still eating and even removed items we weren't done with. No courtesy, no communication just vibes and bad ones at that. The only time he actually spoke to us was to drop the tab... with no itemized receipt, just a random total of "$35." I had the Enchiladas Zacatecan and loved them. Soft corn tortillas stuffed with ground seasoned pork and topped with a mild green mole sprinkled with sunflower seeds. I liked that the flavors were not drowned in cheese and you could taste each flavor but all together it was a creamy flavorful bite. The side of rice was fluffy and the charro beans had a nice smoky bacon flavor. The ice tea was fresh and frequently replaced with a fresh new cold tea. read more

My wife who has never ate here both came in to eat lunch together. We ordered some tacos and drinks. The bone marrow was okay. The quesadilla has the incorrect cheese which made it super chewy. The al pastor tacos didn't have the sweet taste that it has just more spice. The pineapple was not cooked all the way the charro beans are not charro just okay more like beans in water not much charro. My least favorite place to sit in a restaurant when I am solo traveling is in the bar. Upon arrival I was immediately sat in the bar at a high top (and I was too tired from a day of travel to ask to move). The bar tender was my waitress, and she did a great job of being attentive while also making drinks for the restaurant. I ordered the trio fajitas, which were served on a bed of onions, lots of onions. No peppers, lots and lots of onions. The flavoring between the beef, chicken, and shrimp was distinct with the beef being my favorite of the three. Unfortunately the onions had a funky smell that impacted my enjoyment of the rest of the dish - and I normally love a fajitas onion. Huge table came in after we ordered and they got their food before we did. We waited 45 minutes for our food for 4! But we enjoyed refills of chips an wonderful salsa, tea. After a 7-hour trip, we were hungry! My wife ordered hard-shelled tacos; the meat was bland, and the beans and rice were room temperature. Basically, the food was served on a hot plate. Sad! We came here after a long drive. It was right across the street from our hotel. We were seated promptly and our server arrived quickly. We ordered drinks and guacamole for an appetizer. The chips were fresh and good as was the guacamole (it needed some lemon or lime). We had beef fajitas for two. There were probably enough for 4. They were tender and enjoyable, but a little bland. I may be a fajita snob though because I'm from Houston; home of some great fajitas. We would come back because the service and food were good with reasonable prices. They have an extensive menu, so I would probably try something different next time. An added plus was they had live music (at least on Saturday). read more

First time here. Went in about 3:30pm with no other customers there. Received prompt service with chips and salsa. Ordered drinks and received in a timely manner and ok to taste. I kept getting a bad smell, almost sewage like, from the time we first arrived. Ordered food and received in a timely manner also but my food tasted bad so didn't eat much. My wife's taco meats were very dry she didn't finish hers either. Nothing tasted fresh! Bottom line: Service was very good Smelled terrible Good drinks Food wasn't good I saw a lot of things the employees could have been cleaning instead of sitting around waiting for more customers. 5 out of the 7 of us could not eat the food. Tortilla soup full of orange grease. Calabasitas with cream sauce was a slice of unmelted Muenster cheese. Flautas burned. Chips were bulk purchased and tasted like cardboard. Top shelf margarita was served in cracked clay pot while catchy was not drinkable due to texture. Fortunately we had a darling waitress that tried to please but most other servers were in the corner in their phones. We went for the live music which was awesome. We left an appropriate tip based on the fact that Arely NEVER checked on us, refilled our drinks, or even brought our food. She sat at a dining room table on her phone or chatting up her coworkers. My writing is very legible so I know it was not a mistake reading what the tip was. I've called the manager 3 times & he refuses to speak to me which is why I believe he's in on the SCAM. I reported the theft to the Amarillo Police Department and the restaurant has refused to speak with her. The restaurant staff hung up on the Detective twice. Food was subpar & lacked all flavor. This was an unscheduled stop. I had gone to the Longhorn Parade 6-3-23 and was walking back to my car when I saw Braceros. I remembered going to this restaurant when it was Acapulco but I hadn't been to this new location of Braceros yet. I have been to the locations on Bell, Paramount, and 6th and always enjoyed the food and ambiance. I made a spur of the moment decision to stop in for a light meal about noon just to try the place out. I got the absolutely most delightful server named Natasha (like Natasha in Rocky and Bullwinkle she said, LOL). Most the time I have good experiences but once in awhile I feel totally ignored which could be because I'm a senior or could be because I'm just one person, or maybe just because I got a bad server. I'm a fairly low maintenance customer unless I forgot to order something like horseradish sauce or water. Natasha was perfect, not too hovering but checking in on me often enough if I had needed anything I could have let her know. I asked a few questions which she cheerfully answered and ordered the Nopales with a side of one Lamb chop. Everything was perfect. Their chips and salsa is one of my favorites in town, especially the salsa. The Nopales were delicious and the lamb chop was cooked perfectly. I was thinking about getting a House Margarita but found out it's only available Monday through Thursday. I think that may have changed from the past because I don't remember there ever being any limitations previously, at least not at the locations I've been to. I decided to go back on a weekday for that. All in all my visit here was a complete success and I look forward to coming back sometime. read more

We weren't served until I had to go up to the hostess. When ordering they asked if I wanted rice and beans with the meal I said no they still gave it to me anyway. When getting drinks it took them 10 minutes to get our drinks when it was simple water and iced tea. Food was mediocre and each bite didn't help with taste. Our waitress was overwhelmed and brought the wrong drink so the place very understaffed. This place needs to get it together not eating here again if I can. read more

Food, drinks, service, and ambiance left a lot to be desired. 1) food - all entrees thrown together, seemed like they had been under a heat lamp (dried out) and were flavorless. 2) margarita was green syrup. 3) waiter was friendly and tried but seemed overwhelmed managing most of the tables (understaffed). The lady who brought the chips and salsa basically threw them at us. 4) ambiance- the lights were brighter than a doctor's office, less than friendly vibe.
