He literally didn't complete even two of them. Her bite is off. She walked in with perfectly good teeth, and now I'm very worried he messed up her teeth. He didn't know how to use the tools even. She also had somewhere between 8-12 shots. He had zero confidence. Someone should have been shadowing him. This is unacceptable. I prepaid the bill or I wouldn't have paid at all. The nurse and staff even felt terrible and kept apologizing for him. My daughter who has never had a cavity before is now terrified of the dentist. I don't know how they're going to right this, but I'm going to make sure I leave a review everywhere possible because now I have to take her to someone who knows what the hell they're doing. I should have been told my daughter was seeing a new, inexperienced dentist with no supervision rather than a trusted name on the door. My daughter is tough cookie but came out crying, and I feel like I just fed her to the wolves. Run far from this place.

The orthodontist we initially chose left the group right as we began treatment. The orthodontist we ended up with left before their treatment ended. Now they have changed their retainer policy. There is always some new issue with them. I completely regret using this group. I will be recommending to all the parents I know to avoid using them.

BE WARY! My wife had to have a root canal and crown installation this month and it left her with…read moreseveral cuts in her mouth. The procedure ran nearly 3 hours and she was still actively bleeding when we left. They close at 1pm on Fridays and we could tell it all felt very rushed. There was next to no post surgery explanation or after care instructions. Just a quick exit and a "we will call you Monday", not even information about an emergency dentist just in case the bleeding did not stop. We were also NOT informed that the crown she received that day was temporary and that she would need to return two weeks later to get the permanent one. Beyond the actual damage done to my wife and their lack of up front communication the. The doctor was defensive when we returned for the follow up crown and took no responsibility. Rather explaining to us how everything was successful and that nothing went wrong. When this was the worst surgical experience either my wife or I have ever encountered.  We still had to pay full price for the horrible experience since all the services were "completed". Sure she did in fact get a crown, but only after a traumatic surgery experience that required numerous staff to be brought in, several days of intense pain and bleeding; and then another unexpected visit just to be gaslit and talked to like we were crazy.  This clinic had EVERY opportunity to make our experience better and they failed to do so. Having to pay full price for a botched job that left my wife in extreme pain doesn't sit well with me and I hope this review is a warning to other folks in the future!

The dental hygienist (whom I will not name) was a very professional and friendly person but also clearly inexperienced. The office is clean and nicely decorated. However, the equipment is "vintage". In the day of instant digitized x-rays, 3D scanning, and camera probes; why would you want to go someplace that still places EIGHTEEN films in your mouth and takes photos with a cheapie digital camera and mirrors!!! The office manager called after my visit to inquire why I left before the appointment was over. She was pleasant and reassured me they use "digital xrays". Remember; a 1990 Casio "digital" watch and an Apple watch are both "digital watches"- which would you rather have?? Again, the office staff that I met (never met the dentist) were pleasant and professional- Hence giving 2 stars vs. one. However, when your out-of-pocket expenses are going to be essentially the same wherever you go.....why wouldn't you go to a modern facility?

I'm in the Army going to the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth for this year…read more They don't allow us to miss very much class time, so finding a "one stop shop" for my dental needs was extremely important. The dental office on post lost my trust after the dentist there and his assistant (who are super nice BTW) dropped instruments during my appointment to get a temporary crown. Not only that, but after 3 days the temporary crown fell out when I was eating a sandwich (not something that was even that hard)!! Additionally, when I called the Fort Leavenworth clinic about it, they said that having a temporary crown fall out after 3 days was normal! I just don't see that as being the case. All these shenanigans was after getting referred for a root-canal that should've been followed within 3-6 weeks with the temporary crown. Fort Leavenworth forced me into the above appointment 7-8 weeks after the root-canal and basically told me "tough" at their front desk and to "just be careful" with the tooth that just received the root-canal. Needless to say, that's when I started wondering if I could go somewhere else. The on post dental clinic is severely lacking in customer service at their front desk and a level of competence that I'm comfortable with. After calling TRICARE (insurance) for my procedures, they gave me a list that I whittled down to a couple places. I eventually chose Olathe Smiles Dentistry because they could do all of the procedures I needed AND do them all in one day with NO follow-up appointments (pending any unanticipated complications). The dental clinic (Ebony) on post very begrudgingly set up the referral for me. No one likes confrontation, but I am SO glad I put an end to my suffering at their hands. Olathe Smiles Dentistry was great from when I checked in (Ebony screwed up the insurance referral paperwork that Olathe Smiles front desk ladies fixed PROACTIVELY), to the assistants and the doctors. First, I saw Trish who works with the periodontist Dr. McKenzie. She got me x-rays and helped out during my root lengthening. "Root lengthening" really should be called something else because it's when they cut out gums from around your tooth and sometimes grind down bone. I was nervous going in. However, both Trish and Dr. McKenzie were hilarious and their conversations REALLY set me at ease and took my mind off of the procedure. Immediately following that appointment (same day) I moved from one room to another for the permanent crown to be put in. Dr. Rawalt and Benita (I think) were the ones helping with that. They were both great as well! I can't express how thankful I am to go to one place for fixing the shenanigans related to that one tooth. Even with a sore jaw right now, I am extremely relieved to have gotten the procedures done by a staff that was not only VERY customer service oriented, they showed empathy through distracting and hilarious conversation (anthropology, Star Wars, toddler hyjinx...), and they were competent as well as efficient. The receptionist said that I will need to call Aetna to verify if my insurance PPO or HMO. It was such a frustrating experience. After 15 minutes, I decided to leave. It is not worth my headache. As a new patient, I did not feel welcomed but judged. I was treated and talked to with disrespect and treated like a minority and outsider.
