We generally have been happy with the service until now after being left on hold for one hour and 22 minutes by "Megan"to schedule an appointment. There should be a better process. Claremont Optometry and Dr. Brad Baggarly save me from blindness and disability!!!!!! I had had good vision and not seen an Optometrist in 20+ years. Before I turned 57, I noticed a very quick decline in my night vision and my biggest fear was that it could be a degerative eye disease. I would normally have to have gone to medical doctors or get a referral to an Opthamologist, which would have taken weeks to get seen, but I called Dr. Baggarly's office and they got me in the fist Saturday he had available, which was that week I called or possibly the next. Having had oral cancer in 2020, I knew that a 6 week wait to see a doctor, could be the differece between a minor, correctabl issue or a major issue with aggressive treatment needed. Claremont Optometry had tests I've never seen, far beyond eye charts and once they took images from behind my eyes, Dr. Baggarly came in and showed me the images on a compuer screen and explained I had Cataracts, but no degenerative eye disease. He pointed to the blood vessels on the images and explained what he would have seen if I had a different eye condition. I learned that Claremont Optometry is one of the few Optometry offices in California that has this advanced imaging capabability. Had they not, then I would have had to still get in to see an Opthamologist and that could have been weeks! Dr. Baggarly perscribed glasses and those immediately helped vs. being unsafe for weeks! He explained how those would likely just be a short term fix and not stop the light haloes and light blurring I had while night driving. The glasses were fine, but my vision was deteriorating and I finally hit a center median while driving because I could not see the curb while trying to turn left at night. My tire popped and I was lucky it was late and I was able to pull over safely! I called Claremont Optometry the next morning and they got me right in to see Dr. Baggarly within a day or two! Again, if I had to see an Optamologist, that might have taken weeks and I was now an unsafe driver, but rely on driving for my work! Once I saw Dr. Baggarly, on short notice, he and his staff, primarily, Danelle, helped replace my eye frame lenses within a few days vs. ordering new ones and having to wait and drive unsafely until those came in. Many medical offices have good doctors, but not good staff and that can make or break a patient's experience. In my case, I could have had a severe accident while driving. Claremont Optometry is 35 minutes from where I live, but getting in quick and taken care of, are priceless and Dr. Baggarly also referred me to a local Cataract surgeon who fast tracked me into his office and since then, I have had Cataract surgery on both eye and can see close and far without glasses! My business requires I be mobile and responsive and that means using my Smartphone to view and type on business apps all day. Had I not been fast tracked and opted to see a local Optamologist, I would have, only now, been seen for the first time and the surgery projection was for July! I was litterally blind in my left eye and could not read the top E line on a chart, so any further delay would have been a disabilty, cost me my business or gotten me into a driving accident! My 2nd surgery wass this past Monday and my one week follow up and continued follow up on that will be with Dr. Baggarly. Dr. Baggarly alread explained, after my right eye surgery, that the diagonal light flairs I saw at night, was a result of the surgical incisions and would go away or easily corrected. That put me at ease because I drive a lot at night for work and work events and was very scared. So, my vision trust is with Dr. Baggarly and Claremont Optometry, should anyone reading this feel they have a major concern with their vision and want to get it looked at right away. Last comment: I have never had to sit and wait to be seen on my appointment times and, last visit, I was seen 10 minutes early! read more

I had two visits with Brad Baggarly that concerned me as a consumer, during which I felt he steered me and my kid toward expensive purchases. Afterward, he walked out as I was making a polite and what I hoped would be a constructive observation about one of those appointments. The practice he owns is generally friendly and helpful,, though in my experience frames are expensive and limited in variety, and glasses are slow to arrive. He struck me as as defensive and impolite. I cannot recommend him as a provider. read more

Keratoconus Specialist. I have had Keratoconus since 1983. I had my transplant in 1984. It is a very difficult condition to fit. I know first hand. Dr B is an expert concerning Keratoconus. The new lens he fitted me with are amazing. Comfortable and and I can open my eyes with out fear of my lens popping out. Any Keratoconus patient understands. He has the latest technology that enables him to fit these special lens. I hate to be dramatic but It is a life changing event when you can see clearly from a properly fitted sclera hard contact lens. The only thing better than Dr. B is his team. They are awesome. I would drive to see this good. I am lucky they are local. read more

Very nice and curious staffing. Dr Bagerly was great. The only issue is the wait time before taken by the Doctor was a long time. There was poor ETA expectation given by the staffing which made it feel longer. Other than that it was great, just give yourself more time then you think you're going to be there for. read more

I came to Dr Baggarly's offices about 10 years after having the RK procedure which began to go south on me. My corneas became a mess and it takes a real pro to even let me in the building! The patience and compassion for my condition at times is overwhelming. I can't thank them enough. This is next level optometry here. If they can handle my situation they can handle any eye care needs you may have. You couldn't put your eyes in any better hands than Dr Baggarly and his great staff. read more

I came to this office earlier this year based on a colleague's recommendation. My daughter had been in a car accident, lost her glasses in the crash, and I needed replacement glasses for her quickly. That experience was okay, and even though spending around $450.00 seemed expensive, I understood, due to needing her glasses quickly. I had been going to my optometrist Dr. Tran at Walmart in Rancho for many years, but decided to give Dr. Baggarly a try since my daughter had been happy, and he seemed to have more bells and whistles at his office than Walmart. I requested an appointment and the office called me 9 sharp the next morning. I made my appointment and went in a couple of days later. Although I was seated in the exam room quickly, it took a good 20-25 minutes before I was seen. Dr. Baggarly was friendly and professional, but make no mistake, he is a business man first, doctor second. The exam went fine. He changed my prescription. I went along with what he suggested, even though I had no problems in the past with my previous prescription. After the exam, I was sent to meet with someone else who went over the contacts I was going to order. She gave me a trial pair to wear. She was also super pushy about me purchasing contacts from them, even though I told her I could find them for cheaper at Costco. She offered me a rebate (which was rescinded when I exchanged my contacts later) and I went against my better judgement and purchased from them. The whole appointment took ALL morning; between 2-3 hours. I tried the contacts for a week, but something didn't feel right. Maybe it was the headaches I was having. Who knows. I emailed them about this issue, but unlike when they were trying to get my business and they contacted me immediately, this time it took almost a week for someone to respond. I went back in again to exchange my unopened boxes of contacts, for contacts that were the same prescription I was used to, and comfortable with. When I requested a copy of my prescription (which is standard practice I believe), the office manager curtly told me since I had a years supply of contacts, I wouldn't need a prescription. When I told her my previous doctor always wrote me a prescription so I could buy more should I need to, she told me Dr. Baggarly does not do this. I was so over this whole office by this time, and I knew they wouldn't be getting my business again, so I didn't push it. Fast forward 3 months later. I just received a prescription from Dr. Baggarly (wrong btw), along with a notice from my insurance stating part of my claim has been denied. The contact exam was $176.00, $220.00 for a years worth of contacts, which is all fine, but here's the kicker- he charged me $158.00 for the contact lenses FITTING CHARGE!!! I have never been charged for contact lens fitting fee before. Do not come here! They are snobby, rude, bougie, and will rip you off, and their office works at a snail's pace. Dr. Tran, I'm sorry I ever doubted you. You're the best eye doctor, who actually wants to get people to see the best they possibly can. And you don't charge us ridiculous made up charges. Lesson learned: if it ain't broke, don't "fix" it. read more

Dr. was OK but the staff was NOT! They could not add up all my payments that I had made to give me an accurate total of balance due. They kept saying that I didn't pay for my exam and that my deposit was applied to a pair of glasses that wasn't ready yet. I just want to get my glasses. I've encountered several issues here. I continue to come back and not sure why. Taking my business elsewhere from now on. I purchased glasses and billing had no clue what to do with my double insurance. I had to call several times, taking months to collect my overpayment due to billing errors. Front desk also hesitant to give me a prescription for an exam I PAID FOR, just because I didn't want to purchase contacts there. Give me a break! Additionally, office called several times to collect $12 when they owed me money to begin with. I thought that was hilarious. Keep away!!!! read more
