Reserved a lane on a Friday night. Lanes are going every other one with people due to COVID and there is a barrier hanging between. We ordered chicken wing dip and it was really really good! Lanes themselves could really use an update. The screens are plain and just show your initial .. not even your full name (forget any funny nicknames!). And there's no graphics. We encountered 2 issues while playing as well which weren't huge deals but did interrupt game play. The first we needed our pins reset. No biggie. The second, the screen randomly told us in the middle of the game our prepaid time ended. So we had to go tell someone. Then when we were told it's all set, it still wasn't and told us to see the front desk. So my brother had to go to the desk again. Either way we still had a fun time and would come back. read more

My family of 5 went here last week. I highly recommend looking on the website to plan out your visit as it will definitely save you some money. The food was REALLY, REALLY GOOD. (Like so good we will be back for just food, pizza was Amazing and fresh hand cut frys) Staff were nice and professional. It was really clean. Brad is a Lockport legend as was his father. His wife, Michelle is a treasure. Together they own and run a real entertainment center. I love going here and I don't even bowl. The main thing is the pizza. It's the best around. I've seen plenty of amazing food items delivered all around me but I can't stray from the pizza. The back patio is one big party. Purchased my first bowling ball!! A cool Caribbean blue. Upgraded myself to a 11 lbs ball. Don't laugh I usually bowl with a 10 pound ball. Tim at the pro bowl shop was very helpful and sold me a package where I got a ball, bowling bag and shoes for $139. Overall I am pretty happy with my purchase. Then with my new ball and bowling shoes, I hit the lanes. First game I bowled a 127. I have to admit I love the feel of my very own bowling shoes! Brad Angelo update the bar area a few years ago and it has a nice rustic feel to it. They also added two pool tables in the eating area. The Tv screens and the bowling computer is dated but I don't care. I care about my new and comfy bowling shoes!! Friday and Saturdays, Brad Angelo has has Rock and Bowl, where they dim the lights and play rock and roll music. Everyone sings along to the same tunes. Overall, my husband I and had a really fun night bowling. Ps I love having my own bowling shoes!!! No more renting shoes for me!!!! read more

On my last visit for open bowling, myself and my family and friends were treated very well by the staff which has always been the case. However, having 1 bar tender 1 person working the desk and 1 cook on staff...the bartender and Lucas at the front desk were literally running back and forth from the kitchen to the front desk to the bar taking care of customers. They did it with a smile and were more than accommodating while also being very friendly. I was disappointed to see how the staff was treated by who I can only guess is the owner who did not attempt to help alleviate the problem of being short staffed and went on with his private class. Props to the bar tender, cook and especially Lucas at the desk who was running around doing his best to handle the numerous patrons bowling needs as well as their food and drink needs. Food was excellent as always...bowling was great and staff was friendly and worked their tales off. Too often it goes un noticed and I felt it important to let the staff know that they were appreciated. read more

We came here on Monday Night with a couple of friends. It is located on Transit Road, if you're coming from Millersports Hwy toward Lockport, it's on the left hand side passed the drive in, right across a car dealership. We were pleasantly surprised with the service. The front lady was very helpful explaining the prices and the deals for the whole summer. The place is clean, nice layout and a newer more crisp setting. The owner was very kind, her positive attitude even affecting my kids. We rented two lanes for two hours, and had a great time. Fun and retro style bowling, billiards, and darts entertained my kids for hours. The food they served at their snack bar was tasty, with pizza, fries and an appetizer plate. Everything was delicious. The price was reasonable, the service, environment, and bowling is definitely worth it. We will positively come back here. read more

One of our dear friends was in town and we wanted to do something local and fun. We hadn't been to the bowling alley here in several years, so we figured we'd give it a shot! When we first walked in, I didn't even recognize the place. In the past two years, they've remodeled, and it looks spectacular. Most bowling alleys in the area are stuck in the 70s, but Brad Angelo's is now modern and inviting. Beautiful wood-look flooring and gray walls add a contemporary and inviting feel to the alley. We were greeted at the desk and ordered our game and shoes for those who needed them. The lady who got us set up was super friendly! She also had the insight to set us up on two lanes at the very end of the building (even though there were only five of us) so our kids could bowl on one lane and we adults could be on the other one. This ended up being brilliant, since the kids decided later on that they wanted the bumpers pulled up and they were able to have that on just their lane. She also made sure we were several lanes apart from the league bowlers so we wouldn't bother them. The kids immediately had so much fun. I couldn't believe how well they bowled for a five- and seven-year-old. We requested a ramp for the younger one since his first ball did not make it to the pins (whoops). A staff member witnessed it and retrieved the ball for us right away. Instead of rolling it to the pins to complete the turn, he actually handed it back to my boy so he could try again! We thought that was very considerate. We adults had a ton of fun bowling as well. None of us are league material, but skill doesn't matter when you're having a good time. At one point, a few frames in, the lady from the front desk came by and asked how everyone was doing. She told me that my older son reminded her of when her boy was that age and we chatted for a bit. There's definitely a home-like feel here. It was so comfortable and friendly. The restrooms were clean and well kept. We did not order food, so I can't comment on the resturant but you can bet that we'll be back soon with more friends to try it out. When we left, we walked through the bar area. It looked relaxing, contemporary and clean. Not what I'd expect from a bowling alley bar! An honorable mention goes to their ball room. Other bowling alleys display their house balls in racks all throughout the alley, which can give a cluttered look and crowd the walkways. Brad Angelo's actually made a little room to the side with all the balls available so you can go to one area and choose a ball instead of wandering through the alley cherry-picking. Also worth mentioning, the scoring computers are still old-school, but I wouldn't change that! They were all in great working condition and gave a nostalgic feel to an otherwise modern environment. That is one element that does not need updating. There is a shop/repair facility by the front doors, which is a must when you're a serious bowler, and we also noticed a small arcade area for when you've missed your fifth spare in a row and need to blow off some steam. All-in-all, I was very impressed with this bowling alley. It is above and beyond what I expected. Every single one of us had a fantastic experience here and I honestly cannot wait to go back, whether it's just a fun evening outing with the kids or bringing a big group of friends for a parents' night out! Absolutely horrible experience. If I wanted to spend $100 at Chuck E cheeses I'd have just gone there. Bar took forever. Way too many people. Nowhere to breathe or speak or hear yourself think. Had a lazy Sunday today and decided to go bowling for the first time in years. My best was a 103 today, I have work to do. lol We got right in to Brad Angelo lanes, no problem. It was busy but they had a lane open. At $1 per game on Sundays 11-4, you can't go wrong. We had fun bowling and also ordered some lunch which was surprisingly good. Went bowling this past weekend on Sunday and enjoyed dollar bowling games which was pretty nice. The alley itself is pretty outdated and very 1980s. It immediately made me think of the Big Lebowski and the bowling alley in the movie. They have a central bar and drinks area and easy fried and bar style food available as well. Bowling balls are stored in a small room to the back of the alley on the right hand side with a number to choose from though most have been there longer than many visitors have been alive. I was shocked on Sunday that despite having television sets all over the alley they didn't have the Buffalo Bills game on except for in the bar area. A little bizarre I thought. The kid at the counter wasn't the most friendly and cams off as rather standoffish but whatever. So it was a bowling alley and it was cheap can't beat that. read more

This may sound silly but living in Buffalo for 26 years, I know what good pizza is and OMG this bowling alley has the best pizza in town! I first got introduced to it through my realtors (Bill and Rebekah Weissert, who are the GREATEST HUMANS ALIVE (through Keller Williams ) ) who brought all their clients out for a pizza/bowling night. I was dumb founded when i tasted this pizza, so fresh and the sauce was sweet. Not a lot of oil and the ratio of ingredients is perfect! I now live in Hamburg and I am willing to admit that I drive 40 minutes for this pizza with no hesitation what so ever! P.s their garlic fries?!? The burgers are outstanding. Have tried the Cubano, the Back Alley Burger, and the Cowboy. Great efforts from a skilled kitchen. Though they're a bowling alley, they take their food seriously and deliver high-quality pub-fare at a reasonable price. Homemade potato chips are a huge plus for me. Although I go there to bowl, I always go on an empty stomach and fill up on one of their burgers. When they were giving away pizza for our banquet, I ordered a burger. They're really good. The atmosphere is cool too. The bar looks nice. You can go watch the game and they have some decent beers on tap. This is for the restaurant only. 9 friends and I did a self made chicken wing tour where we went to 10 places and ordered 10 wings at each stop. The goal? Find some amazing non-traditional/house wings and try them out so we could figure out some of the bests of Lockport. I have been wanting to try the Back Alley sing the did all of their renovations so I made sure to include it on the tour. I called ahead and ordered 10 wings honey chipotle, I was told they would be ready when we got in... they weren't. In fact, we waited at least an additional 20 minutes after getting there. The wings were cooked ok, I would have fried them up a little longer myself. Everyone agreed the sauce was honey, no chipotle. The group voted it the weakest wing of the day. Our bartender/server wasn't particularly friendly or observant, kind of just there more than anything. Honestly, the only 2 things I can say as positives are the decor was nice, they did a great job on the remodel. Also, I went back to ask for a side of scorpion sauce, which is on the menu, but none of the 3 people working in the kitchen had any idea of what I was talking about. One of the cooks stepped up and said he didn't know what it was but that he would make me something special, he did and the was surprisingly delicious. It's a shame the original wings we ordered didn't have that much flavor. I wouldn't go back for wings, but might try a burger of some mac and cheese in the the future if I were there bowling. This is a cute little old school bowling alley. Always can get a lane and it's very clean. The food was pretty good too. Pro shop is nice we even made a purchase. Each side has 12 lanes so it isn't noisy and crazy like the bigger lanes. I would recommend trying it out. read more

My husband, son and I went last night to bowl. We decided to get some "finger foods". My son got chicken tenders and my husband and I shared an order of garlic parm wings and onion rings. My son, who is a chicken finger snob, said they were the best fingers he ever had. Because of bowling we ate between frames. The onion rings were crispy over an hour later. I've never had onion rings not get soggy after fifteen minutes! The garlic parm wings were delicious! I highly recommend The Back Alley Bar and Grill for lunch or dinner! read more

My family attended their NYE bowling afternoon activity for children and families at the Early Bird Family Party. During the time the music playing was completely inappropriate for this event. The music was not radio edited and many songs had profanity, completely inappropriate for the crowd they were entertaining for the event (mainly young children) When this was brought to their attention, they stated music was controlled by a jukebox and they had no control. This is unacceptable. At the very least songs should have been radio edits. Also advertised were noisemakers for children, they received a paper hat and beaded necklace (no noisemakers). Will not return again and will take my business to Allie Brandt Lanes. read more
