This has always been my favorite place to bowl since I was a kid and now I bring my grandchildren for the summer kids bowling. I am so disappointed how incredibly rude the 2 male workers are, even my 7 yr old ask why are they so mean to everyone. They can't even say hello when I walk up to the counter and say hi how are you today? your met with a miserable nasty look from the man and he will NOT greet you back at all. This was our first time taking our 4 year old daughter bowling with the kids bowl free program and she absolutely loved it. We had the entire place to ourself for a Monday at 2:30pm. Everything was clean and sanitized. My daughter loves the bumper bowling and the red dragon that helped her bowl. Kid friendly for sure. Will def be going back. read more

Came here Friday night with some friends who got a new apartment very near to the alleys. We did what they called "xtreme bowling" $14 for what is basically cosmic bowling from 10-12:30: lights off, disco ball and some other lights, they also had two screens that pulled down and had music videos playing on them. Overall I thought it was a good experience. As someone who isn't a night owl, I liked that the cosmic bowling started at 10. It just so happened that our lane was right under the screen playing the music videos. It wasn't a huge deal, some in our group liked having it be so close, some were distracted by it and didn't like being there. At most half of the lanes they had were taken up so I'd also suggest asking groups if they would like to be by the screen or if they would prefer to be spread out a bit from it. Another cool feature was they had this wheel that spun sometimes and I somehow won a spin on this spinner they had on the front desk. I did get a strike but I wasn't paying attention to what was happening on the screen. My friend who grew up in Lockport and seemed familiar with the alley said I should go up, I had no idea. I did win a free small pop on my spin which was pretty cool. My suggestion to the alley would be to let people know this could happen or explain it a little better either themselves, or have posters hung up somewhere. If it weren't for my friend, I wouldn't have received my prize, still a cool perk. I suppose this rating is more of a 3+, overall it was good, taking off a point for the music video screen right above us and another half to say that while the spinning wheel is cool there should be some sort of direction or explanation so people know they can even spin or what to look for. read more

I've been coming bowling here since I was a teenager! Growing up in Lockport, my friends were interested in midnight bowling as a weekend activity and we went pretty frequently. Recently, we all came here to celebrate my 30th birthday and my friends husband's 31st birthday. All grown up, we returned! It's a cute local alley that has all the things you'd need. They have open bowling every day of the week (times vary) and no matter when you choose to go, it's $4 or less per game. If you're renting shoes, it's $3.50 a person. They still offer the midnight bowling (called Xtreme bowling) on Friday and Saturday nights. They have leagues, host tournaments, and have a youth program as well! It does get pretty busy on the weekend nights, so I'd recommend a reservation, especially if you have a large group like we did (we were 15 people, spread across three lanes). They have a bar, and the prices and drink sizes are very reasonable. They also wine slushies, which was a real game changer! Obviously at 18 I knew nothing of this, but at 30, I was thrilled. $4 a cup, best bargain in the place. They also have a snack bar, and my favorite part was that you don't have to wait for your order, just tell them what lane you're in and they'll run your order out to you when it's ready. Well, the place is clean, and the ball selection is good but I can't say anything nice about the customer service. My family went here a few weekends ago. I arrived a little late and our party was already bowling; five children and five adults. I was only there for about ten minutes when I was approached by an employee asking if we were still using the ramp (that small children use to help bowl). I told her that yes, we were. The children ranged in age so, some used it, some did not. Perhaps another 15 minutes went by and I was approached again with the same question. YES! They are using it! They hadn't even finished their first game yet, for one and for two, if you know that you get a lot of children, perhaps you should invest in more than two ramps for the entire alley! ...(is what I wanted to say but nicely confirmed its use once again.) So the kids are nearing the end of their game with maybe two frames left and suddenly their game is shut off. Now we have 5 upset children. My step father goes to the desk. Apparently, he paid for 4 children (which he arrived with) and my sister then came with my niece. It was an honest mistake and he then paid for the extra child. But um...they had no problem coming over to harass us for the ramp, why not come over and politely point out that we have one more child bowling than paid for? No, how about we upset the kids instead? Yup, that was their judgement call. I do not have any children myself but I was pretty disgusted with the experience. read more

Pro's: The lanes are clean! Most staff are pretty awesome and friendly, too. So, why the bad review then? Most of us can relate when it comes to going out for "family fun night "! And we want just that, a fun night out! Most weekends, we go rollerskating but recently we ventured across the street for bowling. We enjoyed our visit so much, the first night, we went back the very next night. In the past two weekends, I spent well over $200 on the 3 of us (bowling, shoe rentals, lazer game, soft drinks and popcorn.After Tonight's experience, We will continue to bowl but NOT HERE! And here is why! Like every other time , we purchase one game, at a time. Anyone with a 6-year-old knows, The kids may get bored and change their mind! And that was tonight! My husband and I figured, " let's play one more game" while our 6 year-old enjoyed her juice and popcorn. Because each game is pre-paid for, my husband asked the gentleman at the counter for another round, for just two of us. The gentleman at the counter confirmed to remove our daughter from the playing screen. However, Our daughter's name remained visible! As I was about to request for the correction, I noticed they were starting to get busy. So, we figured it's not a big deal, there are far worse things! So, we played our game! The game stopped at the 7th round! The screen read " see front desk!" We didn't understand why the game stopped, so I kindly asked the front desk for assistance! Another gentleman, Who did not set us up, either round, said to me " Yeah, ur game is over!" I explained it stopped at the 7th round. He informed me " you get what you pay for, 3 people on the screen and two bowlers, you finished your game!" Not having a clue what any of that meant, I want back to my lane and reiterated what I was informed to my husband. Now, our lane was close to the customer service desk. As I was reiterating the explanation, that same worker came over to our lane and again states " they are pre-paid games, you get what you pay for, you have 3 players on the screen and 2 bowlers, there for, you utilized all your frames on the 7th round, that's how you play bowling! calmly, as we have been along, my husband informs the worker " yes, we understand it's prepaid, we just didn't understand why our daughter's name continued to be on the screen, we did ask for another round but With only two players and your coworker confirmed which player to remove. we were only trying to understand why the game stopped, we didn't realize what happened and why!" The worker than states " no you didn't, you did not tell him to remove ur daughter!" a little uncomfortable, I said " we were only trying to understand!" To end the conversation, as now other bowlers are looking over at us, as if we were being problematic! This worker was NOT at the desk, when we purchased our games! Pin Me Down! I cant say enough about Allie Brant Lanes! They have a HUGE selction of colored balls and many lanes for bowling in. It was kinda noisy, but the cool jukbox covered up some of the noise that was there. They need karioke. The waitress was great even though I didnt order anything, and fast! I didnt bowl to well...maybe they could make the pins go down a little easier? Also they should put new paintings over the pins. Maybe a dinosaur? read more

This is a great bowling alley and I'm very surprised to see such low ratings. I'm not a regular bowler, I go a few times a year with my family. However, every time I've been here it's been a great experience. First of all the employees are always nice and courteous. I was just here on Veterans Day and had a great experience. The staff gladly set up bumpers to automatically come up when it was one of my children's turn. They also have dinosaur ramps for younger children to use if they can't throw the ball. They usually have a deal on holidays/days when kids don't have school. There are several lanes and plenty of room even if it's busy. It's always been clean when I've been here. The rental shoes are in good condition. They have a substantial amount of loaner bowling balls in several weights and finger hole sizes. There is a snack bar, fully stocked bar, laser tag and miniature golf. I can't say anything about the laser tag as I've never tried but the mini golf is pretty decent. Again, I would say this is the best bowling alley in Lockport and the area. read more

In the past few weeks we have frequently visited this bowling alley and have been often met with less than par customer service. We have continued to come due to a family summer bowling pass we paid for. Tonight was the final strike. They refused our passes because we were one minute late (according to there clock, my phone said differently). They claimed there computer would not accept the passes after 8pm even though they close at 9pm. I have never been met with such cold costumer service! Maybe the computer really can't accept our passes, I get that, but what I don't get is how they would refuse to accommodate a faithful customer. I mean really how hard is it to open two lanes for a good customer? Idk, but what I do know is that they lost another customer , and seeing as how we are often the only customers there I don't think they can afford this. read more

My children did a summer program here for 10 weeks last summer. For $100 it was 10 "lessons" and each child gets a "free" ball at the end. The person that was giving the "lesson" was basically useless. He walked in and out drinking a coffee offering very little education and I believe he was just not there for at least 4 of the lessons. He also had absolutely no rapport with any of the children. Each child got a ball, worth at least $60 or $70, but walked away with not an ounce of bowling information. The problem now....the balls they got were both way to light for them. I think this program is basically a way to get rid of balls that have not sold. I know now after researching the weight a ball should be for their ages, a ten pound ball is for a young child, maybe less than 10 years old. The lanes are well kept and the person at the counter was very nice. If you consider taking lessons during the summer, ask questions, research ball weights and request more of the person giving lessons. read more

I have visited Allie Brandt Lanes several times this summer with my husband. I usually read while he bowls. Each time we have had unfriendly and unhelpful service. The lanes themselves weren't unsatisfactory until our (resolute) last visit. My husband's ball got stuck behind the lane, whereupon he was told to bowl more of the lane's balls. After doing so his ball only became one of a pileup of pins and balls stuck in the lanes. To supposedly fix the problem, they moved him to the neighboring lane with the same ball return. This too piled up further. Once "their guy" came in to fix the lane, as he only works some of the time, the balls finally come out, with my husbands ball scratched and chipped in several places. My husband took his ball up to the desk, hoping to receive at least a refund for the game and a half he didn't play and at most compensation for a refinish of his ball. The service staff said "we could clean it, maybe..." and generally did not seem to care or notice that anything out of the ordinary had happened. Aside from being unhelpful and rude, the staff seemed to want to avoid their customers as much as possible, leaving us without help and without any intention to visit again. read more
