The technician arrived at the specified time to find the blower capacitor blown so the system had iced up and was blowing warm air. This was during daytime temps around 100 deg F. He secured the system, then returned to do the repair after some of the ice melted and then came back the next day to fully function the system after the ice was completely melted. I just got the bill today and it was completely reasonable for the work that was done. They did not try to take advantage of the situation (unlike the plumber that came last month). They were professional, personable, and got the job done. They will be the ones I call the next time I need help.

Derek L. came out today to look at our AC Unit, which has been struggling when the temperatures…read moregets over 95 degrees, but otherwise cools the house. We were looking for a diagnosis and an estimate for repair or replacement. Derek said we had an old unit and the compressor windings were broken. He agreed to send us an estimate. After Derek left, I noticed my thermostat was off, which meant the whole unit was off. My husband reached out to Derek and was told he had turned everything off before leaving. We weren't advised of this before Derek left, had not agreed to any work or set up a return date, and were left in the 100+ degree heat. The off/on switch is on the unit, which is on the roof. There was no offer to come turn the unit back on. Note the unit was working when temps are below 95 degrees. I would have liked to have had a choice in whether he was turning the entire unit off and leaving us with no AC. The estimate was $5000 to replace the compressor or $13,000 for a new unit. Needless to say I had to call someone else out to turn the unit back on. At that time, I was told the we ultimately needed a new unit, as we have an old unit and when the compressor gets too hot, it turns off. Makes sense. In looking at whole sale new units they run about $4000.

My parents had been having issues with their Heating and Air conditioning for close to a year but were procrastinating as we all do. Main reason is that it is so difficult to find a trust worthy HVAC mechanic that is not looking to give you some outrageous rate using some complicated verbiage about this "condenser" and this "thermal-thing-a-ma-jig" needing replacing. Then usually followed by it should be replaced ASAP otherwise your entire house is going to burn down if you don't get it fixed with them. Well, this was not the case this time. From the minute I called I received incredible customer service. I was greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the line and was able to schedule an appointment within minutes for them to come out and take a look at what was going on. Luis came out later that same day and was able to explain everything to me in layman's terms. So easy for me to understand everything. He was very honest and gave me a very fair price. Frank came out the next day and the job was done within a couple of hours. My parents are now enjoying the crisp fresh AC while sipping Margaritas indoors without a care in the world as the world outside melts. This was the first heat wave of 2020. My AC wasn't functioning up to par. It had very minimal flow of cold air coming in. Therefore I thought it would be a simple issue like the filter needed to be changed or something. I first call an initial company (which shall remain nameless) and they give me a very hard diagnostic where I would need to be spending at least $3K and up to $7K+. Multiple issues were apparantly found and it sounded like a nightmare, especially during this unprecedented COVID-19 time. I did not want to get into credit card debt for the first time in my life... As a result, I seeked a second opinion. A friend referred Solis to me and I was connected with Frank. He was immediately responsive via text message and was able to come on-site to my home within 48-hours. When Frank Solis came on-site, he was efficient and thorough. Something really cool was he asked for me to go up onto my rooftop with me so I can see everything. He explained what the issue was and gave a genuine diagnostic. My issue ended up being that all my refrigerant was gone due to a small leak. Long story short, he gave me the next step-by-step instructions on what to do so we can get the job done right and where my wallet would not die from a high surge of fees. My favorite thing was the HVAC 101! I learned a lot thanks to Frank. At the end when I was walking Frank out, I literally said, "I love you!" When the passed away we continued the service with them. They come out twice a month to check and change filters for our A/C and heating. Within the last 6 months the dampers to open the flow of air wasn't working correctly. We had someone whom was doing work at our house and he did some work on the A/C which was a mistake. We called Burgeson's and they fixed everything that was needed. New A/C unit, changed the ducts from four systems to two, more efficient for the house. New thermostats on the wall that connect to our phone to change temperature when we're here or gone. They wore booties to keep floors clean and also laid a covering on the floor. They are very knowledgeable and were great discussing what they were doing. They also cleaned up any messes afterwards. They are the best, they also do solar, check out all the services they do. Very qualified technicians. Since there has been a service with them since 1980 they gave us a good discount. We also got a discount through Lenex and through the state. They did a great job and a good value for the work they did.
