I'll definitely be back to walk him around the grounds and continue the hunt for something more suited for him water wise.

Then another park for kids to play and there's a bathroom. Along the way you cross several cool bridges. There's many sitting spots that you can ponder or rest. Great photo opportunities for people looking to take school, engagement photos, etc. There's a creek that runs along the walk with lots of spots to cool off or take in the sights. The duck pond is fun and they have a duck and fish food vending machine for 25 ¢ for a handful of food. We saw a few people fishing catch & release from the pond. From the map, it's a 2 mile walk one way with an additional 1 mile path in the same direction that we did not walk. Easy hike with a well placed path the entire way. Handicap friendly. Great for jogging as well.

Did the river on the Ducky inflatable kayaks…read more Good fun. We had signed up to go tubing, but got some advice from the proprietor. Good advice, as it turned out. After kayaking the river, not so sure if tubes woulda been a good thing. Not really a tubing body of water. It's a wide river with twists and turns and islands. Lots to maneuver around. Not to mention the occasional rock and/or tree branch. On a tube, you'd be at the mercy of the river gods. Anyway. Park in their lot, check in and grab your paddles and life jackets (required). Trip is around 2 hours. Minimal direction. Basically, get in the yaks, flow downstream, get out just before the bridge.

The staff members were really helpful…read more We brought our own inflatable kayak that is rated for class IV white water rapids and this river has some class II. We paid a small fee and were taken up river about 6 miles and dropped off. We had a really good time. This was our first time taking our personally owned kayak down white water rapids, but not our first time on whitewater. One of the staff members asked if we were familiar with this river and gave us some tips as to which sides we should be in throughout the trip back down. It was very helpful! When we arrived back there was a torrential downpour and they let us pull our kayak up underneath the overhang to deflate and take shelter, and when the rain calmed, they let us pull our truck up to get our gear safely inside without having to carry it all the way back to the parking lot. Afterwords we went shopping in the gift shop and bought a couple things. They have a really nice variety of items for souvenirs to suit many different interests and tastes. We will be back for sure! Best times to come are on weekdays. Weekends are very busy.

Sadly, not many places around here have sidewalks,…read moreso we rely on Cleveland Greenway as a safer option for walking away from the streets or brush. Creeks run alongside it, and people are seen fishing. We spotted some rock bass, creek chub, and green sunfish within the shallow waters. We've also spotted some garter snakes and a copperhead snake right to the side of the sidewalk, so BE AWARE, especially walking with pets or children. Parking areas and restrooms are dotted along the pathways. Bicycles are permitted, but watch for pedestrians. We attempted to ride our bikes on the Greenway, but it was too crowded with pedestrian traffic to be enjoyable. Dogs are also permitted but must remain on a leash. There is Greenway Park, located off Raider Drive, that offers a playground, restrooms, pavilion, event stage, open space, and public art. It's a nice place to rest. You can also reserve the pavilion and stage. It's advised to see Cleveland Greenway's website for reservation information.

The scenery along the lake is beautiful and on many holes you are greeted with a view of the lake. The course is good but not so hard it makes it too difficult. I was really impressed with the staff in the proshop as well as the cafe in the club house. If you get a large soft drink they refill it for the day at no charge so you can get a refill at the turn then again as you finish. On a 95 degree day like it was for us today the free refills was very much appreciated. Overall this is a great course and one of the very best public courses in the state.
