Sheridan's is my go to when in Topeka!! Mrs. Gay is one of my favorite ladies that I've met over the years, and I make sure to support her business each year, when in town. I love the tenderloin sandwich with extra red onions and pickles and friesssss with a side of BBQ sauce and more pickles! The milk shakes, concretes, banana splits, and brownie a la mode are binge and craving worthy! Service is always on point by the employees and they are always friendly! I do like to make modifications, but they roll with me each time! I love coming when the sun is setting or has set because the sky is beautiful against the Sheridan's sign! It gives drive-in type! I love love this place! Food: we always get something new to share since the portions are extremely well. Service: since we are regulars when we are not traveling the staff treats us so well. We live in Kansas City but wanted to take our newly purchased car for a spin and enjoy a nostalgic frozen custard treat. What a great surprise to discover not only such great desserts but food items as well! The pork tenderloin & fries were the perfect savory set up before a Grasshopper concrete & Royal Turtle sundae. In addition, we encountered friendly, helpful staff, who let us enjoy our food before making our desserts. I went to this place and OMG the food was great. I ordered a chili dog and onion rings and a cherry limeade. My goodness I was so surprised how homemade everything tasted. My onion rings were thick and cooked to perfection, my chili dog which was beef and this made me very happy was delicious and they have a homemade chili they use which was just right. The customer service I received was great as this place has a drive thru which made it very convenient as this place was packed with people. I enjoy there homemade cherry limeade as well. The cost of everything was a little pricey but hey what do you expect when everything is fresh and doesn't taste like it came out of a can. I will be coming back here again. read more

No judgment as I love a "used" building and this one is a little rough around the edges. However, you can tell they keep everything clean just by looking through the Order Window. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I knew that I shouldn't have but I ordered the Mount Rush Smore which was absolutely delicious. My regret came solely from misjudging my stomach and ordered a larger size than necessary. I may or may not have felt slightly nauseous while not letting any of it go to waste. It's no one's fault but my own. It was a nice treat going with my brother and his little family. Plus it was a gorgeous, warm day. Next time, I will order the smallest size. read more

My first visit to Sheridan's Frozen Custard was not a disappointment. We went there for an ice cream treat, but no dinner. I didn't want the walk up window, so we dined inside. The inside is large and very clean with booths and tables. It reminded me to the dairy bar when I was a kid. (Fresh ice cream at my home town dairy processing plant.) I ordered the Royal Turtle sundae. The sizing is a little different here, but the wait staff will explain. I got the "Regular" which was the smallest size, but it was filled to maximum capacity with vanilla frozen custard, topped with hot fudge and caramel, then sprinkled with warm pecans and a cherry on top. I didn't know about frozen custard versus ice cream, so the young man explained the difference to me. I learned that after all these years, I've been making home made frozen custard instead of ice cream because I always add eggs to me recipe. This place couldn't be any cuter. It's so cute, I want to pinch it's cheeks. It looks like a 1950's diner/ice cream parlor with metal accents and plenty of fluorescent lights on the outside. The staff is friendly and the custard is always incredible and very well made. Service is super quick and you are usually satisfying your sweet tooth less than five minutes after walking up to the window.
