Brad is the most honest mechanic I have ever come across in all my driving years. Took my car to him a couple of years ago thinking I needed brakes. He inspected them and told me I was good for a while longer. I even tried to give him $20 for his time, and he wouldn't take it. Most recently, I was going to have my car towed to him, but when I told him it was transmission related, he advised he didn't work on transmission, but recommended two places I could take it. He even told me which place had more reasonable prices! Being a single woman and knowing little about cars, I appreciate his honesty and integrity!! His prices are always reasonable, too! Had some work done on our Kia Rio, diagnosed bad ignition coils, replaced one & not the other. Forgot to put the bolts back in that hold them in place & the new one he put on went bad because of this. So a $180.00 repair ended up costing me another $250.00 to fix it myself!! New to Fort Wayne, I asked an acquaintance where to take my car. He said he's used Brad's for years. I got my oil changed there, the price was good. It actually was great, I just don't want him to raise his prices. Later, months later,my 99' Silverado is spewing oil I took it to Brad, oil sending unit, It's between the back of the engine and the firewall. I could barely see the thing. Brad fixed it and an oil change, under $150. He won my loyalty. I asked him to put new universal joints in my truck, due to an aluminum drive shaft, he tells me he doesn't work on them. Gives me the name of a shop that did it at a fair price. It's just him. and a few retired mechanics that help from time to time, I believe. It could just be him. Bread was trying to fix our The heat in Our Chrysler. While he had it we also asked him to change the Oil. I realize he could not figure out how to fix our heat problem but when he charged us for the work he did not charge us a dime For the work he did on the heater. The only thing he charged us for was The oil change. That is one honest man in my book. read more
